So long as the said Betsey Craik shall keep the said Wm A. Craik she shall have the interest of his estate yearly for his support. Also the said Betsey Craik is to draw the interest of Mary A. Craik's estate yearly for her support until she arrives to lawful age marries or dies. The house and three acres of land as above lent to Betsey Craik I give the same to Wm & Mary A. Craik. I leave all my estate real and personal not before given to be sold by my executor giving to my son Thomas Addison two shares. Taylor aged about 16 years: Last year Tho. had been with young John Lecatt near Barnett's field in Pungoteague and saw John Smally's white mare (the one now in dispute); she followed the boys up to John Lecat's lane. John, Jr., ran up to catch her, but she leaped into the cornfield. When John went in after her to turn her out, she leaped into the yard. That was when "old John Lecatt took her and put a rope about her neck and tied her in the sheep house. Next morning, young Jno. Lecatt took a switch and beat her at the end of the lane by his father's order, and old Jno. Lecat took a piece of a bedsted and plugged up her tail into it." Signed and sworn in open court 19 June 1688, by Thomas ( ) Tayler.1

Witt: Edmd Custis, William Finne & Rich Jones. Signed 19 June 1694 by Thomas (his T mark) Taylor. Presented in open Court on 20 Nov 1694 by Thomas Taylor as his real act & deed to his brother John Taylor. Recorded 27 Nov 1694.2

This indenture made 17 Dec 1695 between Thomas Taylor of Accomack County and John Taylor of the same place, planter, brother of the said Thomas Taylor, that for 4,000 pds of tobacco Thomas sells to his brother John a tract of land containing 60 acres in the County of Accomack on the south side of Pungoteague bounded on the northwest by a creek issuing out of Pungoteague called Pocomoke, south & easterly by the land of William Wale & finally bounded north & westerly by the land formerly belonging to the said Thomas Taylor and by him sold to the said John Taylor as by a survey thereof made by Major Edmund Scarburgh may appear the said 60 acres being the one moiety or half part of 120 acres, 60 acres being the remainder thereof being aliened & sold by the said Thomas Taylor to William Wale which together with 50 acres of land formerly aliened and sold as aforesaid makes up the 170 acres which was given by Abraham Taylor Senr, since deceased, to his son the said Thomas Taylor by the said deed of conveyance dated 27 Nov 1686. Witt: Richard Bally Jurn, Robt Pitt & Wm. Weale. Signed by Thomas (his T mark) Taylor as his real act & deed to his brother John Taylor. Recorded 3 Jan 1695.3

To wife Tabitha Taylor for life the use of the remaining part of the land where I live, being 110 acres, also the use of 1/2 the land I bought of Arthur Armitrader. Fletcher was the husband of Elizabeth Selvey and this parcel became merged with that land. Deed Index shows Abraham Taylor & wife Sarah sold land to William Fletcher in 1691, which may have been the date it was recorded.2
