In obedience to an order of the court for a division of the estate of Amos Underhill dec. dated the 12th of March, 1744/45: Margaret Underhill's part, widow £9.1.6; Thomas Underhill's part £4.11.0; Athaliah Underhill's part £4.10.1; Amos Underhill's part £4.10.9; Daniel Underhill's part £4.11.1/2. Recorded on Thursday the 9th day of April 1745.3 
Court - namd in suit*June 1762He was named in a lawsuit in June 1762 at Northampton Co, VA. An agreement was made between Custis Kendall, Gent and Amos Underhill. The said Kendall in consideration of £45; £5 to be paid when demanded to the estate of the said Littleton Kendall, dec’d and £40 at the end of the year. Isle agrees to farm let the Plantation whereon the said Littleton formerly lived belonging to Mrs Sarah Parsons. The said Amos was to oversee finishing the crop with six Negroes: Southy, Harry, Jimmy, Leander, Fell... (document torn) and Allice and Pegg, wenches; with 3 work horses and to find diet and clothes for the Negroes. The said Amos was to work the corn, oats, wheat, tobacco, flax and potatoes using the plantation utensils, care for the Negroes and the stock and save all of the blades of corn. For his services he was to receive £40 at the end of year. In the written agreement, Amos was to receive all which he could make on the plantation, save that Kendall was to have 5 barrels of short corn and all of the rotten corn and fodder. The bill was filed by Sarah Parsons complaining that the said Underhill had not lived up to the agreement and abused all of the provisions. Judgement for Plf.5

Roberts. When my son Edmund shall arrive at the age of twenty one years or have issue I then give to him the plantation whereon I now live also my Negro boy Isaac son of Leah my wearing apparel, my watch and sword.
