They were married by Montcalm Oldham..2 Burnetta was living in 1937 at Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD.5 Burnetta died on 11 August 1943 at Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD. Mrs. Bernettie Susan Godwin, aged 92 years, died on 11 Aug 1943 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jno Tatman, Pocomoke City. She was the daughter of the late George and Sallie Killmon Hall, born in the vicinity of Sanford. She was the widow of Edmond Spencer Godwin of Sanford. Services were at the Sanford Methodist Church on 13 Aug by the Rev. Bryan, with interment in the Drummond Cemetery. Survivors were listed. She had 33 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren for a total of 95 decendents (E.S. News, 20 Aug 1943)..6 Her body was interred at Drummond Cm, Finny Hall Fm, Messongo, Acc Co, VA.6

Joseph was born circa 1889.1 He married May Marshall, daughter of John Day Marshall and Matilda Ann 'Tillie' Miles, circa 1919. On 24 Sep 1921 the lands on Saxis Island that Matilda Gerew died seized & possessed were auctioned by George L. Doughty Jr., attorney for Vallie R. Fry (nee Gaskill) and E. Linton Fry, her husband and Joseph Breustedt Sr. & Amelia Breustedt his wife. (Acc Co Deed Bk 122, p. 377).2 He married Amelia (-----) circa 1921.
