He was shown as son Jeremiah in the will of John Townsend Sr., wife Elizabeth.¹ He patented land on 6 December 1698 at tract Desire, Bogerternorton Hundred, Somerset Co, MD. It was for 100 acres.⁴ He sold land in 1699 at tract N78, near Franktown, Northampton Co, VA. It was in this year that Jeremiah and Ann Townsend of Somerset County sold 150 acres to George Brickhouse stating he had purchased the titl from his father John and mother Elizabeth Townsend and also from Cornelius and Ann Morris, all of Somerset County.⁵ He sold land in 1699 at tract N87, Franktown, Northampton Co, VA. It was in this year that Jeremiah and Ann (Brickhouse) Townsend of Somerset County sold her inherited 100 acres to Richard Smith.⁶ He estate was settled on 31 January 1743 at Worcester Co, MD.      John Dennis Jr. was born circa 1700 at Somerset Co, MD.¹ He married Mary Townsend, daughter of John Townsend II and Rebecca Porter, on 10 March 1723/24 at Worcester Co, MD.¹

     Wrixham Townsend was born circa 1704 at Somerset Co, MD.¹ He married Jemima Pope circa 1726.² Wrixham Townsend died before 13 August 1728 at Worcester Co, MD. It was on this date that the inventory of Rixom Townsend was returned with next of kin shown as Littleton and Solomon Townsend. Jamima Townsend was the Admr.³ Wrixham was named in his father's will on 10 January 1732/33 at Worcester Co, MD. He was shown as son Wrixham in the will of John Townsend Sr., wife Rebecca. He also named a granddaughter Elizabeth Townsend, under 16, daughter of Wrixham.¹

     Jemima Pope was born circa 1705 at Somerset Co, MD.¹ She married Wrixham Townsend, son of John Townsend II and Rebecca Porter, circa 1726.¹ Jemima was named as administrator of an estate on 13 August 1728 at Worcester Co, MD. It was on this date that the inventory of Rixom Townsend was returned with next of kin shown as Littleton and Solomon Townsend.      James Townsend was born circa 1700 at Somerset Co, MD.¹ He married Elizabeth Gray circa 1720.² James was named in his father's will on 11 March 1720 at Somerset Co, MD.      Sarah Townsend (Townsend?) was born circa 1700 at Somerset Co, MD.¹ Sarah was named as a heir in a will on 12 April 1733 at Somerset Co, MD. She was shown as Sarah Townesing in the will of William Planner.¹

     Elizabeth Costen was born on 22 November 1680 at Somerset Co, MD.² As of circa 1700,her married name was Townsend.¹ She married William Townsend, son of John Townsend I and Elizabeth Danford, circa 1700.¹ Elizabeth was named in her husband's will on 4 January 1728/29 at Sussex Co, DE. She was shown as wife Elizabeth Townsend in the will of William Townsend.³ Elizabeth was named in her mother's will on 25 June 1735 at Somerset Co, MD. She was shown as daughter Elizabeth Townsend in the will of Comfort Benton.⁴ She died in 1745 at Somerset Co, MD.²

     Stephen Townsend was born circa 1702 at Somerset Co, MD.¹ He married Elizabeth Watson, daughter of John Watson, circa 1726.² Stephen was named in his father's will on 4 January 1728/29 at Sussex Co, DE. He was shown as son Stephen Townsend in the will of William Townsend, wife Elizabeth.¹ Stephen made a will on 10 January 1759 at Sussex Co, DE. He was shown as Stephen Townsend, Yeoman. Heirs: sons William, Stephen, Littleton, Jesse, Noe and Jehu Townsend; daughters Abigail Townsend and Betty Spencer; grandsons Stephen, Olivr and Elijah Cobb (sons of daughter Sarah); granddaughter Leah Townsend (daughter of son William); Samuel Costen Townsend. Extr to be son Stephen Townsend. Witt: James White, Christopher Nutter, Jemima Townsend.³ He died before 6 September 1759 at Sussex Co, DE. It was on this date that his will was probated.³

     Costen Townsend was born circa 1704 at Sussex Co, DE.¹ He married Mary Watson circa 1725.² Costen was named in his father's will on 4 January 1728/29 at Sussex Co, DE. He was shown as son Costin Townsend in the will of William Townsend, wife Elizabeth.¹ He married Julia (-----) circa 1745.³ Costen Townsend died before 13 February 1776 at Sussex Co, DE. It was on this date that the estate of Costen Townsend was granted to Littleton Townsend in right of Julia, widow.⁴
