     Senator Outerbridge Horsey III was born on 5 March 1775 at Somerset Co, MD.2 Outerbridge was named in his grandfather's will on 3 November 1785 at Somerset Co, MD. He was shown as grandson Outerbridge, son of William, in the will of Outerbridge Horsey.4 Outerbridge was named in his father's will on 16 June 1786 at Somerset Co, MD. He was shown as son Outerbridge in the will of William Horsey, wife Nelly. He was left all lands left me by my grandfather at Annamessix.5 Outerbridge was named in his mother's will on 21 May 1787 at Somerset Co, MD. He was shown as son Outerbirdge and given 60 lbs for schooling in the will of Eleanor Horsey.6 Outerbridge Horsey was a Senator from Delaware; born near Laurel, Sussex County, Del., March 5, 1777; received a liberal education; studied law; admitted to the bar in 1807 and commenced practice in Wilmington, Del; member, State house of representatives 1800-1802; attorney general of Delaware 1806-1810; elected in 1810 as a Federalist to the United States Senate to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Samuel White; reelected in 1815 and served from January 12, 1810, to March 3, 1821; was not a candidate for reelection; chairman, Committee on the District of Columbia (Sixteenth Congress); retired to his wife's estate, 'Needwood,' near Petersville, Frederick County, Md., and died there June 9, 1842; interment in St. John's Cemetery, Frederick, Md.1 He married Eliza Lee on 22 April 1812 at Delaware.7 Senator Outerbridge Horsey III died on 9 June 1842 at Needwood, Petersville, Frederick Co, MD, at age 67.1 Outerbridge was buried at St. John's Cemetery, Frederick, Frederick Co, MD.1
