The wives were evidently the daughters of William Woodcraft, the son of Richard Woodcraft the Patentee.¹ Anna was named in her mother's will on 1 August 1783 at Sussex Co, DE. It was on this date that John Coe, Arthur Williams and Tabitha Williams witnessed the will of Parker Rogers, wife Agnes.⁴ Arthur was named as administrator of an estate on 7 March 1785 at Sussex Co, DE. It was on this date that Andrew Williams patented the tract Williams Chance containing 120 acres.⁴ He was named in the settlement of his uncle's estate on 3 July 1762 at Worcester Co, MD. It was on this date that the inventory of John Williams (Worcester Co), Admistrator Sarah Williams was signed as next of kin by Andrew William Sr. & Andrew William Jr.⁵ Andrew witnessed a will on 29 January 1774. It was on this date that Andrew Williams, William Jordain Hall & Ezekiel Williams witnessed the will of John Lockwood.⁶ He was security on the administration of an estate on 28 February 1774 at Worcester Co, MD. It was on this date that administration on the estate of John Lockwood was granted to Mary Lockwood with William J. Hall & Andrew Williams securities.⁷ Andrew witnessed a will on 7 September 1776 at Sussex Co, DE. It was on this date that Andrew Williams, William Woodcraft & John Mideap witnessed the will of John Coffan wife Comfort.⁸ Andrew witnessed a will on 6 October 1777 at Sussex Co, DE. It was on this date that Andrew Williams, William Robinson & Elizabeth Barnes witnessed the will of Daniel Barnes wife Mary.⁹ He was on the tax list in 1782 at Baltimore Hundred, Sussex Co, DE. It was on this date that Andrew Williams, Arthur Williams & John Evans witnessed the will of Robert Barnes, wife Betty.¹³ Andrew made a will on 4 October 1794 at Sussex Co, DE.      Peter Furbush (Forbush or Forbes) was born circa 1704 at Somerset Co, MD. Peter was named as an heir on 18 January 1709 at Somerset Co, MD. It was on this date that Peter Douty willed Peter, son of John Furbush, tracts Wolf Harbor and Force Part. He also willed a 50 acre tract Priviledge to Peter Furhush, son of John Furbush. In the Wicomico Land book Wolf Harbor is shown as Wolfs Quarter.^2,3 He married (-----) (-----) circa 1724. Peter Furbush (Forbush or Forbes) sold land on 16 March 1729 at Force Putt, Wicomico Co, MD. It was on this date that Peter Furbursh sold the 50 acre tract Force Putt to John Larramore. He also sold a 50 acre tract Priviledge to John Larramore and 50 acres of Wolfs Quarter to John Larramore.³ Peter was named in his brother's will on 31 August 1737 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as my brother Peter Forbes in the will of John Forbes. He was to have my remaining estate if he be living else to my sister Ann Avernton.⁴ Peter witnessed a will on 9 February 1738 at Somerset Co, MD. It was on this date that Henry Dashiell, Petter Furbush and Sarah Nutter witnessed the will of John Larramore, wife Mary.⁵

     (-----) (-----) was born circa 1705. She married Peter Furbush (Forbush or Forbes), son of John Furbush (Forbush or Forbes) and Judith Doughty, circa 1724. As of circa 1724,her married name was Furbush.

     John Furbush (Forbush or Forbes) was born circa 1675.² He married Judith Doughty, daughter of Peter Doughty (Body & Douty) and Frances Cannon, circa 1702. John was named as an heir on 18 January 1709 at Somerset Co, MD. It was on this date that Peter Douty willed Peter, son of John Furbush, tracts Wolf Harbor and Force Part. The Wicomico Land book shows Wolf Quarter instead of Wolf Harbor.^2,3

     Judith Doughty was born on 9 December 1687 at Somereset Co, MD.¹ She married John Furbush (Forbush or Forbes) circa 1702. As of circa 1702,her married name was Furbush.

     John White was born circa 1696 at Somerset Co, MD.¹ John was named in his father's will on 29 August 1706 at Somerset Co, MD. He was shown as son John, under 21, in the will of William White, wife Catharine. He was given a plantation Buckingham.¹

     Rose White was born circa 1698 at Somerset Co, MD.¹ Rose was named in her father's will on 29 August 1706 at Somerset Co, MD. She was shown as eldest daughter Rose in the will of William White, wife Catharine.¹

     Sarah White was born circa 1700 at Somerset Co, MD.¹ Sarah was named in her father's will on 29 August 1706 at Somerset Co, MD. She was shown as one of my eldest daughters Sarah in the will of William White, wife Catharine.¹

     Ann Brittingham was born circa 1680 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ As of before 6 September 1705,her married name was Thorowgood.¹ She married Francis (16) Thorowgood, son of Lt. Col. Adam (3) Thorowgood II and Frances (6) Yeardley, before 6 September 1705.¹ Ann was named in her father's will on 18 March 1708/9 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as daughter Ann Thorowgood in the will of William Brittingham Sr., wife Mary. He gave son-in-law Mr. Francis Thorrowgood 1/2 of the marsh land adjacent to plantation where I now live in Somerset Co, MD & the other half to my son Nathaniel.⁴

     William Brittingham Sr. was born circa 1640. He may have come to Virginia on the Looshall Roll in 1656.² He was transported into the province of Maryland by 1663.³ He married Elizabeth (?) Williams (Williams?) circa 1665. Somerset Sampler shows Rebecca Brittingham was the daughter of William Brittingham and his wife who was Elizabeth Williams of Accomack Co, but there is no source cited for that information.⁴ William Brittingham Sr. patented land in 1670 at tract A164, north side of Pitts Creek, Acc Co, VA. It was in this year that a patent was granted to William Brittingham for 450 acres and in 1700 another one for 96 acres, presumably excess acreage found within the original bounds.⁵ He married Mary Roach, daughter of John Roach I and Sarah Williams, after 3 August 1699 at Accomack Co, VA. Five tracts of land that had been patented in Somerset Co by Francis Martin became possed by William Brittingham in Virginia by marrying the widow.^3,6,7 William Brittingham Sr. exchanged land in 1707 at tract A164, north side of Pitts Creek, Acc Co, VA. It was in this year that William and Mary Brittingham of Accomack exchanged 150 acres here with John Brittingham of Somerset for land there. Then in 1728 John Brittingham Sr. (wife Christian) left to his eldest son William his plantation in Virginia and 100 acres adjacent in Maryland.⁵ William made a will on 18 March 1708/9 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as William Brittingham Sr. To son Samuel plantation where he now lives being on the gut leading out of Pitts Creek. To son Nathaniel plantation where I now live & for want of heirs to my son Samuel. To son John. To daughter Rebecca Brittingham 150 acres where William Brittingham, Jr. lately lived. To son William 400 acres in Somerset County, Maryland, being part of a divident containing 700 acres called Winter Quarter. To son Joseph 200 acres in Somerset County being part of the above tract. To son Samuel 100 acres of said tract. To daughter Sarah Horsey. To son Isaac 5 s. as a bar to cut him off. Son in law Mr. Francis Thorrowgood 1/2 of the marsh land adjcent planta where I now live in Somerset County, Maryland, & the other 1/2 to my son Nathaniel. Daughter Ann Thorowgood. Wife Mary & son in law Francis Thorowgood Exrs. Witt: Robert Pitt, Ralph Milbourne, Elizabeth Pitt, Thomas Baker. Codicil: Land in Maryland to son Samuel.⁸ He died before 5 April 1709 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was probated.^1,9

     Samuel Sandford was born in 1650 at London, England.¹ He bought land on 12 July 1682 at Coram, West Berlin District, Worcester Co, MD. It was on this date that Samuel Cooper & wife Jane sold 500 acres called Coram in West Berlin District to Samuel Sanford of Accomack Co, VA.² He was in procession of land report circa 1700 at Coram, West Berlin District, Worcester Co, MD. The Rent Rolls 1666-1723 showed Samuel Sandford in possession of 500 acres. Then in 1758 John Sanford of Virgnia sold to John Dennis of Maryland.² Samuel made a will on 27 March 1711 at London, England. Sometime of Accomack County, Virginia, but now living in the City of London. - 27 Mar. 1710/11 - 1 Jan. 1711/12 - To be buried in the Parish burial place at_____ in the County of Gloucester.
