Savage Jr. was the security on the M.L.B. of William Harmanson and Joanna Satchell.¹ William was named in his mother-in-law's will on 23 November 1781 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as my son-in-law William Harmanson in the will of Sarah Satchell, widow of Southy.²

     Susanna Satchell was born circa 1750 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ As of 12 September 1780,her married name was Neale.² She married Presley Neale on 12 September 1780 at Northampton Co, VA.      Mary Satchell was born circa 1760 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ As of 23 November 1782,her married name was Yerby.² She married William Yerby on 23 November 1782 at Northampton Co, VA.      Thomas Yerby was born circa 1784 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ Thomas was named in his grandfather's will on 18 September 1788 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as my grandson Thomas Yerby, son of my daughter Mary, in the will of Charles Satchell, father of Charles dec'd.¹

     John Satchell was born circa 1752 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ John was named as administrator of an estate on 13 September 1785 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of Charles Satchell was granted to John Satchell.² He married Elizabeth Green on 13 January 1787 at Northampton Co, VA. Wm. Harrison was the security on the M.L.B. of John Satchell to Elizabeth Green.³ John was named in his father's will on 18 September 1788 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as my son John in the will of Charles Satchell, father of Charles dec'd. He was given my 100 acre plantation whereon I now live, my carpenter and cooper's tools, all my cider casks and powdering tubs.¹ John made a will on 27 October 1802 at Northampton Co, VA. I give to my niece Sarah Satchell my gold sleve buttons. All the remainder of my estate to my daughter Mary Satchell. It is my desire that my wearing apparel may not be sold but that the coarsest of it may be distributed among my Negroes giving to my Negro Isaac the greater part of it and the finest & best of it to be used for my daughter. It is also my desire that six of my best table and six of my best tea spoons & a gold ring, a pair of gold sleve buttons & a crest that was my wife's shall not be sold but kept for my said daughter. I nominate & appoint my friend William Satchell to be executor. Signed John Satchell. Witnesses: Will Satchell, Molly (her mark) Anderson, Peggy Powell.⁴ He died before 14 February 1803 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was probated. Administrator William Satchell. Appraisers: Charles West, George Boggs, George Belote and Charles S. Satchell. No administration records.⁴ He left land in 1803. It was in this year that John Satchell lef to his daughter Mary G. Satchell 100 acres of tract N52 near Matchipungo and 10 years later she married Thomas S. Satchell. After their deaths the title passed to their son Edward C. Satchell.⁵

     Charles Satchell was born circa 1754 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ He married Margaret Green on 4 February 1778 at Northampton Co, VA. Wm. Harrison was the security on the M.L.B. of Charles Satchell and Margaret Green.² Charles Satchell died before 13 September 1785 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of Charles Satchell was granted to John Satchell.¹ Charles was named in his father's will on 18 September 1788 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as my dec'd son Charles Satchell in the will of Charles Satchell.³

     Margaret Green was born circa 1755.² As of 4 February 1778,her married name was Satchell.¹ She married Charles Satchell, son of Charles Satchell and (-----) (-----), on 4 February 1778 at Northampton Co, VA. Wm. Harrison was the security on the M.L.B. of Charles Satchell and Margaret Green.¹ As of 21 February 1788,her married name was Simkins.¹ Margaret Green married Coventon Simkins on 21 February 1788 at Northampton Co, VA. Wm. Simkins Jr. was the security on the M.L.B. of Coventon Simkins and Margaret Satchell, widow of Charles Satchell.¹

     Sarah Satchell was born circa 1779 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ Sarah was named in her grandfather's will on 18 September 1788 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as my granddaughter Sarah Satchell, daughter of my son Charles dec'd and given £7 10s in the will of Charles Satchell.¹ Sarah was named in her uncle's will on 27 October 1802 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as my niece Sarah Satchell in the will of John Satchell, father of Mary Satchell.²

     Christian Stockley was born circa 1702 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Christian was named in her father's will on 12 May 1728 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as daughter Christian Stokly in the will of Christopher Stokly, wife Mary.² Christian witnessed a will on 19 February 1731/32 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date Andrew Allen, Christopher Stockley & Christian Stockley witnessed the will of William Heath, wife Mary.¹ Christian witnessed a will on 12 August 1742 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date Edmund Scarburgh, James Roose, William Scarburgh & Christian Stockley witnessed the will of John Rose, wife Ellison.³

     Andrew Allen was born circa 1680 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He married Bridget Waltham, daughter of John Waltham and Elizabeth (-----), circa 1710.² Andrew was named in his brother-in-law's will on 2 May 1728 at Accomack Co, VA. His daughter Margaret Allen, daughter of Andrew & Bridgett Allen, was named in the will of Stephen Waltham, wife Elizabeth.² Andrew witnessed a will on 2 May 1728 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date Andrew Alen, Nathaniel Pratt & Christopher Stokely witnessed the will of Stephen Waltham, wife Elizabeth.² Andrew witnessed a will on 12 May 1728 at Accomack Co, VA.      Daniel Darby I was born circa 1640.¹ He married Dorothy Churchill circa 1665.² Daniel Darby I was on the tax list in 1666 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Danll Darby with 1 tith.³ Daniel witnessed a will on 8 May 1684 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Edward Ashbye, Thomas Dant, James Gray & Daniel Darby witnessed the will of John MacComb.⁴ Daniel witnessed a will on 22 March 1691 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date Christopher Stokelee, Daniel Darby and William French witnessed the will of Dorman Silevant, wife no name.¹ He bought land in 1692 at tract A12, between Craddockville & Pungoteague, Acc Co, VA. It was in this year that Daniel Darby bought 245 acres from Charles & William Fawsett, both of Somerset County. When he died a few years later, he owned more of the Richardson land.⁵ He deeded land as a gift in 1696 at tract A12, between Craddockville & Pungoteague, Acc Co, VA. It was in this year that Daniel Darby gave 82 acres to his son William, and in his will of 1709 he left 50 acres adjacent to his grandson Daniel, son of William. William Darby died intestate in 1712 and his part went to his son Daniel, who in 1712 sold his 132 acres to William Meers.⁵ Daniel was named in his son's will on 23 November 1708 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as my father Daniel Darby and named Extr in the will of Churchill Darby.⁶ Daniel made a will on 20 December 1708 at Accomack Co, VA. To son Daniel Darby plantation where I now live. To grandson George Darby, son of my deceased son Dormond Darby 100 acres where my daughter in law, his mother, now lives. To grandson Daniel, son of my son William 50 acres adjcent the land given George Darby. To son William Darby. Daughter Sarah Walter. Son Daniel & neighbor Arthur Laylor Ex'rs.      William French was born circa 1670 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ William witnessed a will on 22 March 1691 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date Christopher Stokelee, Daniel Darby and William French witnessed the will of Dorman Silevant, wife no name.¹

     Francis Brooks was born circa 1690 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Francis witnessed a will on 2 March 1720 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date John Tankred, Jacob Stokly & Francis Brooks witnessed the will of William Bryant, wife no name.¹

     Mary (-----) was born circa 1680.¹ As of circa 1700,her married name was Stockley.¹ She married Christopher Stockley I circa 1700.¹ Mary was named in her husband's will on 12 May 1728 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as wife Mary in the will of Christopher Stokly.¹

     Christopher Stockley II was born circa 1705 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Christopher witnessed a will on 2 May 1728 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date Andrew Alen, Nathaniel Pratt & Christopher Stokely witnessed the will of Stephen Waltham, wife Elizabeth.² Christopher was named in his father's will on 12 May 1728 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as my son Christopher Stokly in the will of Christopher Stokly, wife Mary.¹ Christopher witnessed a will on 19 February 1731/32 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date Andrew Allen, Christopher Stockley & Christian Stockley witnessed the will of William Heath, wife Mary.³ He married Sabra Stewart, daughter of Andrew Stewart and (d/o_Edw) Kellam, circa 1742.⁴ Christopher Stockley II died before 30 October 1744 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of Christopher Stockley was granted to Sabra Stockley with Andrew Stewart & George Smith securities. Whitelaw shows his land was tract A16 south of Craddockville being the land John Waltham gave his father in 1698. His son Christopher died intestate in 1744 leaving a wife Sabra and a daughter Mary to inherit. Mary later married William Satchell adn in 1787 a survey showed the land to contain 214 acres. This land became merged with tht of A15C and remained so until the late 1800s when it was broken up in the division of the estate of St. George W. Teackle.⁵

     Isabel Stockley was born circa 1704 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Isabel was named in her father's will on 12 May 1728 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as daughter Isabel Stokly in the will of Christopher Stokly, wife Mary.¹

     John Rose was born circa 1700 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He married Allison (-----) circa 1725.¹ John witnessed a will on 12 May 1728 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date Andrew Allen, Bridgett Allen & John Rose witnessed the will of Christopher Stokly, wife Mary.¹ John made a will on 12 August 1742 at Accomack Co, VA. To son John Roose. To wife Ellison use of whole estate during her widow then to be divided between wife & all my children. Wife Exec.      Allison (-----) was born circa 1700 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ As of circa 1725,her married name was Rose.¹ She married John Rose circa 1725.¹ Allison was named as an heir on 12 May 1728 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as Allison Rose in the will of Christopher Stokly, wife Mary. If his son Christopher Stokly died without heirs his land was to go to Allison Rose. John Rose was one of the witnesses.¹ Allison was named in her husband's will on 12 August 1742 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as wife Ellison in the will of John Rose.²

     Margaret Allen was born circa 1712 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Margaret was named in her uncle's will on 2 May 1728 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as Margaret Allen, daughter of Andrew & Bridgett Allen in the will of Stephen Waltham, wife Elizabeth.¹

     Charles Stockley Satchell was born circa 1774 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ Charles was named in his father's will on 21 December 1793 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as son Charles Stockley Satchell in the will of William Satchell Sr., wife Mary.¹ Charles was named in his mother's will on 8 December 1794 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as my son Charles Stockley (Satchell) and given small square walnut table, still and worm and £9 in the will of Mary Satchell.² Charles made a will on 8 May 1805 at Northampton Co, VA. It is my will and desire that all of my Negroes over the age of twenty one years be free, those under twenty one to serve until that time & then to be free. I give and bequeath unto my Aunt Palmer Martin one hundred & fifty dollars cash. I give and bequeath unto my brother Christopher Satchell. I give unto my sister Adah Snead. I give & bequeath unto my brother William Satchell. I give unto my sister Sarah Satchell. I give & bequeath unto my nephew Thomas S. Satchell. I give unto Mrs. Rose Dolby. I appoint my brothers Christopher and William Satchell my executors. Signed, Charles S. Satchell.³
He died before 9 December 1805 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was probated. Proven by the oaths of William Harmanson Senr and Rickards Dunton Jr. Administrators Christopher Satchell and William Satchell.      Southy Stewart Satchell was born circa 1776 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ Southy was named in his father's will on 21 December 1793 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as son Southy Steward Satchell in the will of William Satchell Sr., wife Mary. His brother William was to pay £100 towards his support to be brought up in the profession of a doctor.² Southy was named in his mother's will on 8 December 1794 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as my son Southy Stewart (Satchell) and given all my silver plate in the will of Mary Satchell.³ He died before 13 April 1796 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of Southy Stuart Satchell was granted to William Satchell.⁴

     Sarah 'Sally' Satchell was born circa 1778 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ Sarah was named in her father's will on 21 December 1793 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as my daughter Sarah Satchell in the will of William Satchell Sr., wife Mary.¹ Sarah was named in her mother's will on 8 December 1794 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as my daughter Sally Satchell in the will of Mary Satchell.² Sarah was named in her brother's will on 8 May 1805 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as my sister Sarah Satchell in the will of Charles S. Satchell.³ As of 20 December 1808,her married name was Simkins.⁴ She married John Simkins on 20 December 1808 at Northampton Co, VA. Jacob G. Parker was the security on the M.L.B. of John Simkins and Sarah Satchell.⁴

     Elizabeth Green was born circa 1770.¹ As of 13 January 1787,her married name was Satchell.¹ She married John Satchell, son of Charles Satchell and (-----) (-----), on 13 January 1787 at Northampton Co, VA. Wm. Harrison was the security on the M.L.B. of John Satchell to Elizabeth Green.¹ Elizabeth Green died before 27 October 1802 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that her husband John Satchell left what was my wife's for my daughter Mary Satchell.²

     Coventon Simkins was born circa 1750.¹ He married Margaret Green on 21 February 1788 at Northampton Co, VA. Wm. Simkins Jr. was the security on the M.L.B. of Coventon Simkins and Margaret Satchell, widow of Charles Satchell.¹

     John Simkins was born circa 1780 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ He married Sarah 'Sally' Satchell, daughter of William Satchell Sr. and Mary Stockley, on 20 December 1808 at Northampton Co, VA. Jacob G. Parker was the security on the M.L.B. of John Simkins and Sarah Satchell.¹
