     Jonathan Groten was born circa 1762 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Jonathan was named in his brother's will on 5 September 1773 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as brother Jonathan Groten in the will of Shadrack Groten.³ He inherited land in 1774 at tract A35, Pungoteague Creek, Accomack Co, VA. In 1759 Esther Lecatt, wife of Charles, gave a deed of release to William Groten for 102 acres which "he had purchased of Charles Lecatt." The land was at the southeastern or lower end of the tract. In 1774 Groten left to his son William, who 3 years later left to his brother Jonathan. In 1784 Jonathan sold to Thomas Jacob, and 10 years later he resold to Samuel Trader, who was accumulating land in that vicinity.⁴ Jonathan was named in his father's will on 24 September 1774 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as son Jonathan Groten (under age) in the will of William Groten, wife Amy.² Jonathan was named in his brother's will on 19 February 1777 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as my brother Jonathan Groten in the will of Major Groten.⁵ Jonathan was named in his brother's will on 6 June 1777 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as brother Jonathan Groten in the will of William Groten.⁶ Jonathan was named as a heir in a will before 21 February 1778 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Jonathan Groton and given all my husband's clothes & my husband's chest & 1 pair silver buttons in the will of Rachel Phillips.⁷ He sold land in 1784 at tract A35, Pungoteague Creek, Accomack Co, VA. It was in this year that Jonathan Groten sold land to Thomas Jacob.⁴ Jonathan was named in his mother's will on 6 February 1788 at Accomack Co, VA.      Capt. William Mitchell Esq., Gent. was born circa 1605 at Chichester, County Sussex, England.² He married Anne Alwin circa 1630.² He arrived circa 1647/48 and served as Justice on 4 Mar 1649 in Maryland. He returned to Maryland on 30 Sep 1651, with a family, servants and a company. He served on the Provincial Council of Maryland 1651-1656, and attorney for many and had a connection with Obedience Robins of N'hamp County, VA. He owned 2,200 acres called Poplar Neck in Anne Arundel County. In 1652 Captain William Mitchell, one of the worst men in the Province, was appointed a member of the Council, by Lord Baltimore. He was suspected of poisoning his wife on the voyage to America. Ann, daughter of Elizabeth Bolton, of St. Martins in the Fields, Middlesex, was hired as a servant, to act as governess, whom he harshly used, and then sold to Francis Brooke, for a wife. At a court held on 22 Jun 1652 at Saint Mary's, Thomas Cole, aged 32 years, deposed: "That before coming to out of England he was at Mr. Edmond Plowden's chamber. He asked me with whom I lived? I replied Capt. Mitchell. He persuading me not to go with him to Virginia, asked me "Of what religion he was, and whether I ever saw him go to church?" I made answer "I never saw him go to church." He replied, "that Captain Mitchell being among a company of gentlemen, he wondered, that the world had been, so many hundred years, deluded with a man and a pigeon." Mr. Plowden then told Cole, that by the dove, was meant "the Holy Ghost," and by the man, "our Savior, Christ."³ Capt. William Mitchell Esq., Gent. married Joan Toast in June 1652 at Maryland. Joane Toast deposed that she was married to Capt. William Mitchell by Mr. (William) Wilkinson & that they had slept together. Other charges against Capt. William Mitchell were: atheist, adultry with Susan Warren & since his late wife's death, lived with now pretended wife Joane.⁴ On 23 June 1652, Thomas Cole, age circa 34, swore that there was a bond made from Mrs. Susanna Warren to Capt. William Mitchell on the voyage to Virginia acknowledging Mrs. Warren's indebtedness to Capt. Mitchell for £100.⁵ Mary, wife of Daniel Clocker, gave testimony on 28 Jun 1652 that she was midwife to Susan Warren who stated during delivery that Capt. Mitchell was the father of the child.⁶ Capt. William Mitchell Esq., Gent. was named as a headright on 2 October 1655 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as Wm. Mitchell, one of the 12 headrights listed for Thomas Leatherberry who was granted a patent for 600 acres in Northampton County on the side side of the southern branch of Onancock & bounding westerly on land of John Dorman.⁷ On 2 Dec 1655 in N'hamp County William Johnson, attorney for Capt. William Michell, was given Power of Attorney to dispose of any estate belonging to Michell or his children in Maryland.⁸ He was named as a headright on 27 November 1657 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as Wm. Mitchell, one of the 5 headrights listed for Thomas Bell who was granted a patent for 227 acres in Northampton County at the head of Nuswattock Creek, southerly on a branch parting it from land of John Tilney & John Johnson Jr. & northerly by land of John Pepper.⁹ William Michell represented N'hamp County, VA in the Virginia House of Burgesses from 1657/58 to 1658. He was granted a certificate for land on 20 December 1658 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that Capt. William Michell was granted 500 acres for transporting William Michell, George Michell, Elisabeth Michell, Margrett Michell, & Joane his wife. (NOTE: However, there was no patent recorded in the Virginia Land Patents and Grants.).^10,11 He died before 1 November 1659 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of Capt. William Michael or Michell was granted to Joan Michael who became the admtrx of her late husband Capt. William Michael dec'd.¹

William Michell was granted 500 acres for transporting William Michell, George Michell, Elisabeth Michell, Margrett Michell, & Joane his wife.⁴ Joan was named as administrator of an estate on 1 November 1659 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of Capt. William Michael or Michell was granted to Joan Michael who became the admtrx of her late husband Capt. William Michael dec'd.¹ As of after 1 November 1659,her married name was Cooke. She married Ebenzer Cooke after 1 November 1659. Joan Toast married (2nd) Ebenezer Cooke (poet laureate of MD). Joan Toast died on 29 October 1720.

     George Mitchell was born circa 1636 at County Sussex, England. He was named as a headright on 20 December 1658 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that Capt. William Michell was granted 500 acres for transporting William Michell, George Michell, Elisabeth Michell, Margrett Michell, & Joane his wife.¹ He was living before May 1662 at Manokin, Somerset Co, MD. George Mitchell was listed among the "Churchmen," adherents to the Church of England, who came into the Manokin section in the late Fall of 1661 or early Spring of 1662. Others on this list included Randall Revell, John Elzey, Nicholas Fountain, William Furniss & Thomas Poole. Also shown were Anthony and Mary Johnson and their family, the free Negroes, first of their race and kind to appear in this area.² He was named as a headright on 16 December 1663 at Somerset Co, MD. He was shown as Geo. Mitchell on a list of headrights entered by Randall Revell and Ann Toft.³ In 1666 George Mitchell, who was in the Manokin section, owned lands on Monie Bay between Great and Little Monie Creeks.⁴ He was living before August 1666 at Manokin, Somerset Co, MD. It was by this date that George and Margaret Mitchell were listed among the first settlers of the Manokin section who came from N'hamp-Accomack Counties of Virginia.⁵ He married Margaret (-----) before August 1666.⁵ George Mitchell married Isabell Higgins on 29 September 1668 at Somerset Co, MD.⁶

     James Dashiell was born in 1634 at Edinburgh, Scotland. A Scotchman by birth, though of French extraction, came from Northumberland Co, Virginia to Wicomico section (later Somerset County) in 1663/4. He lived first on the south side Wicomico River at mouth of Dashiell's Creek, and later on east side of Wetipquin Creek (now in Wicomico County). He was the surveyor of highways, 1666; justice of the peace, 1676-97; member Lower House Maryland Assembly, 1678, 1681 and 1682; customs officer for Somerset County, 1697.^1,2 He married Ann Cannon, daughter of Edward Cannon and Ann (-----), in 1659 at Northumberland VA, VA.² James Dashiell died in 1697.¹

According to Whitelaw this was part of tract A62 near Onanock.^3,4 He married Sally Edwards, daughter of Zorobabel Edwards and Bridget Rogers, on 31 December 1807 at Accomack Co, VA. Zadoc Poulson was the security on the M.L.B. of John Ironmonger of George and Sally Edwards of Zoro.² John Major Ironmonger sold land in 1809 at tract A62, Onancock, Acc Co, VA. It was in this year that John and Sally Ironmonger sold the land he inherited from his 1st cousin Edward Ironmonger as 95 acres to William Seymour.⁴ John was named in his father's will on 11 November 1815 at Accomack Co, VA.      Polly Ironmonger was born circa 1806 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Polly was named in her father's will on 11 November 1815 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as daughter Polly (under age) in the will of George Ironmonger, wife Sarah.¹

     Ralph Scales was born circa 1650.¹ He married Mary Lewis, daughter of John Lewis (II) and Elizabeth Rodolphus, circa 1680.¹ Ralph Scales was named as a headright on 20 September 1688 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Ralph Scales on a certificated granted to Capt. William Whittington for 250 acres of land due for transporting 5 persons.²

     Ann Scale was born circa 1682 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Ann was named as an heir on 2 October 1688 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as my goddaughter Ann (under age) the daughter of Mary Scale, the now wife of Thomas Iremonger in the will of Richard Watson. He gave her most of his estate and Edmund Allen & Ann Allen his wife were to be overseers of the child's estate.¹ She died before 3 June 1701 at Accomack Co, VA. On 3 Jun 1701 Elizabeth Ironmonger and Edward Ironmonger petitioned that in his will Richard Watson had left them an estate, which was left in the custody of Edmund Allin. Now Elizabeth and Edward asked that their estates be delivered to them. Allin expressed his willingness to do so, if he was legally discharged. The court ordered that Allin deliver the estate to Thomas Ironmonger (father of Elizabeth and Edward), who was to give security at the next court. (NOTE: Evidently Richard Watson's goddaughter Ann had died and Thomas Ironmonger's 2 children inherited his estate.).²

     Elizabeth Ironmonger was born circa 1685 at Accomack Co, VA.^1,2 Elizabeth was named as an heir on 2 October 1688 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as Elizabeth, the daughter of Thomas Iremonger, in the will of Richard Watson.¹ On 3 Jun 1701 Elizabeth Ironmonger and Edward Ironmonger petitioned that in his will Richard Watson had left them an estate, which was left in the custody of Edmund Allin. Now Elizabeth and Edward asked that their estates be delivered to them. Allin expressed his willingness to do so, if he was legally discharged. The court ordered that Allin deliver the estate to Thomas Ironmonger (father of Elizabeth and Edward), who was to give security at the next court. (NOTE: Evidently Richard Watson's goddaughter Ann had died and Thomas Ironmonger's 2 children inherited his estate.).³ On 4 Dec 1701 Thomas Ironmonger moved that Edmund Allin deliver the estate of Elizabeth and Edward Ironmonger (Thomas's children); the estate had been bequeathed to the children by the will of Richard Watson (deceased). Allin had been ordered to deliver the estate to Ironmonger, who was supposed to give a bond to be responsible for the estate till the children reached lawful age. Though he had formerly failed to post the bond, Ironmonger now presented Mr. Gervas Baggaly and Walter Harges as his security. Ordered that the sheriff summon Edmund Allin to the next court to give an account of the estate. (NOTE: Evidently Thomas's 2 children were still under age.).²

     Richard Watson was born in 1643.² He gave a deposition on 26 May 1679 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Richard Watson aged about 36 years when he gave a depostion: Watson, who was also in Isaack Medcalfe’s house at the time of the agreement last January, repeated the particulars mentioned by Mordecay Edwards, but added that the cow and calf were to be paid during the current month. Sworn in open court 26 May 1679, and signed by Richard Watson.² Richard made a will on 2 October 1688 at Accomack Co, VA. To goddaughter Ann (under age) the daughter of Mary Scale, which is now wife to Thomas Iremonger, whole estate except the following legacies - Edmund Allen & Ann Allen, his wife, to be overseers of the child's estate. To Thomas Franklin. To Mary, the daughter of John Stockley of Northampton. Should Ann die before her marriage, reversion to Elizabeth & Edward, the two children of Thomas Iremonger. Witt: Rebeckah Bagwell, Joan Chance, William Dennison.¹ He died before 20 February 1688/89 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was probated.¹

     (-----) (-----) was born circa 1690.¹ As of circa 1720,her married name was Ironmonger.¹ She married Thomas Ironmonger circa 1720.¹

     William Ironmonger was born in October 1721 at Accomack Co, VA.² He was bound out on 4 July 1727 at Accomack Co, VA. Ordered that William Ironmonger (who would be 7 years old next October) be bound out to Nathan Chandler, who would teach him the trade of shoemaking.¹ He was bound out on 3 January 1727/28 at Accomack Co, VA. Ordered that William Ironmonger (orphan) be bound to Stratton Burton, who was to teach him to read and write. Burton posted a bond.³ He was bound out on 7 March 1727/28 at Accomack Co, VA. Ordered that Edward Ironmonger (6-year-old orphan) be bound to Hathan Chandler, who was to teach him to be a shoemaker.⁴

     John Ironmonger was born circa 1728 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He married Philoclear (-----) circa 1750.² John witnessed a will on 4 May 1751 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Major Ironmonger, John Ironmonger & Corneluis Ironmonger witnessed the will of Tobias Bull, wife Frances.³ John was named in his father's will on 26 January 1760 at tract A89, Greenbush, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as my son John Ironmonger in the will of Edward Ironmonger, wife no name. He was given 100 acres called the Mill Branch. He was named heir-at-law at probate, meaning he was the oldest son. Whitelaws shows this land as tract A89.^1,4 He bought land in 1767 at tract A89, Greenbush, Acc Co, VA. It was in this year that Cornelius & Esther Ironmonger sold to his brother John 50 acres which the deed said had been left to Cornelius by his father Edward.⁴ He died before 25 June 1776 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of John Ironmonger was granted to Philoclear Ironmonger with William Riley & Daniel Bull securities.²

     Jacob Ironmonger was born circa 1730 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Jacob was named in his father's will on 26 January 1760 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as sib Jacob Ironmonger in the will of Edward Ironmonger, wife no name.¹

     Fenn (-----) was born circa 1700 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ As of circa 1735,her married name was Lewis.¹ She married John Lewis (III), son of John Lewis (II) and Elizabeth Rodolphus, circa 1735.¹ Fenn made a will on 10 December 1749 at Accomack Co, VA. Whole estate to friends William Nock & Benjamin Nock. William Nock Exr. Witt: Reuben Shield, Benjamin Nock.² She died before 27 February 1749/50 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that her will was probated.²

     Patience (-----) was born circa 1700 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ As of circa 1730,her married name was Scott.¹ She married Rodulphus Scott, son of (-----) Scott and Elizabeth Lewis, circa 1730.¹ Patience was named as administrator of an estate on 28 July 1747 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of Rodolphus Scott was granted to his widow Patience Scott with West Kellam & John Kellam ecurities.¹

     (-----) (-----) (m/o to Jos Lewis & Geo Ironmonger) was born circa 1700.¹ She married John Lewis (III), son of John Lewis (II) and Elizabeth Rodolphus, circa 1715.¹ As of circa 1715,her married name was Lewis.¹ (-----) (-----) (m/o to Jos Lewis & Geo Ironmonger) married Edward Ironmonger, son of Thomas Ironmonger and Mary Lewis, circa 1730.¹ As of circa 1730,her married name was Ironmonger.¹

     Philoclear (-----) was born circa 1730 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ As of circa 1750,her married name was Ironmonger.¹ She married John Ironmonger, son of Edward Ironmonger and (d/o Chas) White, circa 1750.¹ Philoclear was named as administrator of an estate on 25 June 1776 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of John Ironmonger was granted to Philoclear Ironmonger with William Riley & Daniel Bull securities.¹

     Sarah (-----) was born circa 1750.¹ She married Thomas Ironmonger, son of John Ironmonger and Philoclear (-----), circa 1775.¹ As of circa 1775,her married name was Ironmonger.¹

     John Phillips was born circa 1740 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He married Catherine Hannaford, daughter of John Hannaford Sr. and (d/o Robt) Tizeker, circa 1770.¹ John made a will on 2 April 1774 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as John Phillips, son of Thomas. To wife plantation where I live during her widow then to my son Thomas Phillips. Daughter Elizabeth Phillips. Daughter Susannah Phillips. Unborn child. Daughters Elizabeth, Susannah & unborn child residual legatees. Wife Exec. (no name) Witt: Major Ironmonger, John Hannaford.¹ He died before 30 May 1775 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was probated. Catherine Phillips, widow of the testator qualified.¹

     Foskey (-----) was born circa 1745.¹ She married Edmund Wise, son of George [67] Wise and Huldah Ayres, circa 1763.¹ As of circa 1763,her married name was Wise.¹

     Mary 'Molly' (Custis?) was born circa 1770.¹ As of circa 1795,her married name was Wise.¹ She married Edmund Wise, son of George [67] Wise and Huldah Ayres, circa 1795.¹ Mary was named in her husband's will on 28 March 1798 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as my wife, no name, in will of Edmund Wise. Whitelaw says she was Mary 'Molly' who may have been a Custis. She was to come in for a child's part of my personal estate.^2,1 She married James Ironmonger, son of Cornelius Ironmonger and Esther 'Hessy' Dunton, circa 1799.¹ As of circa 1800,her married name was Ironmonger.¹

     James Ironmonger was born circa 1775 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He married Mary 'Molly' (Custis?) circa 1799.¹ James Ironmonger sold land circa 1800 at tract A63, Onancock, Acc Co, VA. It was about this year that George A. & Betsy Wise sold 13 acres of his father Edmund' land and they were joined by James and Molly (relict of Edmund) in selling a balance of 193 acres to George P. Bagwell. The next year he and his wife Peggy Bagwell sold to James Poulson.¹ James was named in his father's will on 20 February 1810 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as son James Ironmonger in the will of Cornelius Ironmonger, wife Esther.² James was named as an heir on 24 January 1819 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as James Ironmonger in the will of Bridget Walker. She also left items to his children, but did not name them.³

     Thomas Phillips was born circa 1770 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Thomas was named in his father's will on 2 April 1774 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as son Thomas Phillips (under age) in the will of John Phillips of Thomas, wife Catherine.¹ Thomas was named in his mother's will on 6 October 1794 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as son Thomas Phillips in the will of Catharine Monger.²

     Elizabeth Phillips was born circa 1772 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Elizabeth was named in her father's will on 2 April 1774 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as daughter Elizabeth Phillips (under age) in the will of John Phillips of Thomas, wife Catherine.¹

     Susannah Phillips was born circa 1774 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Susannah was named in her father's will on 2 April 1774 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as daughter Susannah Phillips (under age) in the will of John Phillips of Thomas, wife Catherine.¹ Susannah was named in her mother's will on 6 October 1794 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as duaghter Susanna Wise in the will of Catharine Monger.²

     John Hannaford Sr. was born circa 1725.¹ He married (d/o Robt) Tizeker, daughter of Robert Tizeker and Fetaplace (-----), circa 1748. John witnessed a will on 5 August 1767 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that John Hannaford Sr., Walter Scott & Jonathan Scott witnessed the will of John Wise, wife Scarburgh.² John was named as an heir on 17 November 1786 at Accomack Co, VA. In his will of this date William Tizeker named the children John Hannaford had by his first wife. (NOTE: The assumption is that she was William's sister.).³ He married Margaret Williams (widow?) circa 1790.⁴ John made a will on 7 April 1802 at Accomack Co, VA. Margaret Hannaford & John Smith Extrs. To wife Margaret Hannaford the use of ½ of the plantation where I now live containing 75 acres & also the use of ½ of our 50 acres I purchased of Col. Levin Joynes & John Richardson adjoining the plantation where I now live during her life & widowhood & also my Negro man David & at her demise Negro to Gilbert Milby Leatherbury. To son William Hannaford the ½ of the plantation where I now live & at the death or marriage of my wife the whole to my son. To son John Hannaford ½ of 50 acres mentioned above & at the death or marriage of my wife the whole to John. To daughter Elizabeth Hannaford Negroes Towil, Tom, Joshua & Rachel & ... To daughter in-law [step daughter?] Nancy Williams ½ dozen silver tea spoon which I got by her mother. To daughter Sally Ironmonger ½ dozen silver table spoons & the remaining & my Negro girl Martha. To son William Hannaford after the death or marriage of my wife my still & all my iron casts & stand tubs. To wife my Negro woman Nan during her life & at her death she shall have her pardon. To my wife ½ of my personal estate not henceforth given & at her death or marriage my personal estate to be sold & to my son John, daughter Elizabeth & son George's children. The remainder to my son John, daughter Elizabeth & the children of son George, except I give to grandson Abel Savage £10 when he arrives to lawful age. Witt: Jacob Ross, John Onions & William Vernelson.⁴ He died before 27 September 1803 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was partly proved. The named Extrs. relinquished to George Scarburgh who became the Admr. with Samuel Coleburn & John Arlington securities.⁴ He estate was settled on 30 June 1806 at Accomack Co, VA. 20 Aug 1805 (Order to Audit), 31 Jun 1806 (Rec'd) - 1/3 part to Elizabeth Hannaford, John Hannaford & heirs of George Hannaford. Appraisers: William Gibb & John S. Ker.⁵

     Catharine was named in her father's will on 2 April 1774 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as my unborn child in the will of John Phillips of Thomas, wife Catherine.^1,2 She was born in 1774 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Catharine was named in her mother's will on 6 October 1794 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as daughter Catharine Phillips in the will of Catharine Monger.¹

     Sally Ironmonger was born circa 1781.¹ Sally was named in her mother's will on 6 October 1794 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as my daughter Sally Monger in the will of Catharine Monger.¹

     John Hannaford Jr. was born circa 1752 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He was security on the administration of an estate on 28 February 1769 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on his estate was granted to Elizabeth Martin. John Hannaford Jr. & Andrew Martin were securities.² John was named as an heir on 17 November 1786 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as my friend John Hanaford Jr. a child of John Hanaford had by his first wife in the will of William Tizker.³ John was named in his sister's will on 6 October 1794 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as my brother John Hanniford and named Extr in the will of Catharine Monger.¹ John was named in his father's will on 7 April 1802 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as son John Hannaford in the will of John Hannaford Sr., wife Margaret.⁴

Edward Ironmonger was the security on the M.L.B. of Levin Ironmonger and Sarah Chandler. (NOTE: The assumption is that Edward was his brother.).¹

     Ann Ironmonger was born circa 1808 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ As of 28 August 1827,her married name was Russell.¹ She married Levin Russell, son of Milby Russell II and Tabitha Lewis, on 28 August 1827 at Accomack Co, VA. John J. Wise was the security on the M.L.B. of Levin Russell of Milby and Ann Ironmonger of John dec'd.¹

     Levin Russell was born circa 1804 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He married Ann Ironmonger, daughter of John Major Ironmonger and Sally Edwards, on 28 August 1827 at Accomack Co, VA. John J. Wise was the security on the M.L.B. of Levin Russell of Milby and Ann Ironmonger of John dec'd.¹

     Southy Copes was born circa 1750 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He married Euphemy Ironmonger, daughter of Cornelius Ironmonger and Esther 'Hessy' Dunton, on 2 May 1785 at Accomack Co, VA. Southy Simpson was the security on the M.L.B. of of Southy Copes and Euphemy Ironmonger.¹ Southy Copes was the security on a M.L.B. On 12 November 1807 at Accomack Co, VA. Edward Ironmonger and Southy Copes were the security on the M.L.B. of James Powers and Esther Copes.¹ Southy was named in his father-in-law's will on 20 February 1810 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Southey Copes in the will of Cornelius Ironmomger, wife Esther. He also Esther a daughter of Southy Copes and William I. Copes.²

     Euphemy Ironmonger was born circa 1765 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ As of 2 May 1785,her married name was Copes.¹ She married Southy Copes on 2 May 1785 at Accomack Co, VA. Southy Simpson was the security on the M.L.B. of of Southy Copes and Euphemy Ironmonger.¹ Euphemy Ironmonger died before 20 February 1810 at Accomack Co, VA. She was evidently dec'd by this date as her father Cornelius Ironmonger, wife Esther, named her husband Southey Copes instead of her in his will.²

     Euphamy 'Phamey' Ironmonger was born circa 1780 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ As of 5 May 1801,her married name was Chandler.¹ She married William Chandler on 5 May 1801. Edward Ironmonger was the security on the M.L.B. of William Chandler and Phamey Ironmonger.¹

     William Chandler was born circa 1775 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He married Euphamy 'Phamey' Ironmonger on 5 May 1801. Edward Ironmonger was the security on the M.L.B. of William Chandler and Phamey Ironmonger.¹

     George Wyatt was born circa 1802 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ He married Molly Ironmonger on 10 February 1836 at Accomack Co, VA. Nathaniel Badger was the security on the M.L.B. of George Wyatt and Molly Ironmonger.¹ George Wyatt died on 19 March 1871 at Pungoteague, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Geo. Wyatt who died of typhoid at the age of 69 years. He was a married farmer born in Accomack Co. His son gave the information.²

(d/o Robt) Tizeker died before 17 November 1786 at Accomack Co, VA. She was evidently dec'd by this date as William Tizeker named John Hanford's children which he had by his first wife.¹
