James, age 1 in HH#650 headed by Hezekiah P. James, a 41 year old farmer.³ He married Malana Susan Mapp, daughter of John C. Mapp Jr. and Malana W. 'Tamer' James, on 15 February 1873 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as Samuel M. James, a 22 year old farmer, the son of Hezekiah P. & Margaret James and she was shown as Malinda S. John W. Watson was the security on the M.L.B. of Thomas James and Anne Bagwell Watson.¹ Anne was named in her father's will on 22 May 1822 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as my daughter Ann B. James in the will of Ephraim Watson, wife Tabitha.³ Anne made a will on 20 September 1834 at Northampton Co, VA. I give unto my son Leavin T. James and to my daughter Ann Alizur James and to my son Loyd T. James all my land to be equally divided among them and all the rest of my property to be divided in the same manner by their paying to my daughter Caroline P. Pritchet one dollar each. I nominate and appoint my friend Thomas Ames, executor. Signed Ann B. James. Witnesses: Edward A. Joynes, Margaret A. Ewin, William (his mark) Fatherly. According to Whitelaw, this was part of tract N112.^4,5 She died before 10 November 1834 at Northampton Co, VA. This will was partly proven on November 10, 1834 and was fully proven on March 9, 1835. At probate it was noted that the "testatrix had been dead several months" and no one had applied for the administration so William W. Cutler, a creditor, was appointed administrator. Bond $200.
