     Elizabeth was born circa 1700. She married Robert (31) Andrews, son of Robert (14) Andrews and Elizabeth Shepherd, circa 1720.^1,2 Elizabeth died before 30 April 1751.²

     Phillip was born circa 1705 at Accomack Co, VA. Phillip was named in his father's will on 21 October 1719 at Accomack Co, VA. He was under age 18 at the time of the will and given land at Nanduey and at Runbelde Marsh in Maryland..² Phillip was named in his uncle's will on 13 December 1719 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Phillip Parker Jr. in the will of Matthew Fletcher.³ Phillip was named in his mother's will on 25 January 1730 at Accomack Co, VA.⁴ He married Tabitha Dewey, daughter of Jacob Dewey and Matilda [38] Scarburgh, circa 1730.⁵ Phillip died in January 1741 at Accomack Co, VA.⁶ Administration of Phillip's estate was filed on 27 January 1741 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that his widow Tabitha Parker was named to administer his estate, with John Rogers and Robert Coleburn securities.⁷

     Tabitha was born circa 1705 at Accomack Co, VA. She married Phillip Parker II, son of Phillip Parker I and Dorothy Fletcher, circa 1730.³ Tabitha was named in her father's will on 26 September 1732 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as a daughter Tabitha Parker in the will of Jacob Dewey, wife Matildah. At probate Kelly Johnson and his wife Beautifilay and Phillip Parker and his wife Tabitha qualified to settle the estate..² Tabitha was living on 27 January 1741 at Accomack Co, VA.⁴ She married Richard Johnson, son of Capt. Obedience Johnson (II) and Dorothy Washburn, circa 1742.⁵

     This Thomas Hall wrote his will on 27 Jul 1787 in which he named daughters Rebecca and Betty Hall, impling they were not then married, and son Nathaniel Hall, resid. legatee & Executor. Wittnesses: William Downing, David Watts, and William Beavans. Since a wife was not named, it is assumed that she predeceased him. Thomas was born circa 1730. Thomas's will was probated on 26 February 1788 at Accomack Co, VA.^3,4 Thomas died in 1788 at Accomack Co, VA.^3,4

     Rebecca was born circa 1762.

     Betty was born circa 1764.

     According to Whitelaw, p1247, Arthur Whittington and his wife Rebecca sold 8 acres of A145 to Nathaniel Hall in 1793. The town of Atlantic is in the center of A145. Nathaniel Hall "M.RD" is listed as a head of household in the 1800 Acc Census, age 26-45 (b.c. 1755-75). There were 2 males and 2 females, all age 0-10 (b.c. 1790-1800). Another female, assumed to be his wife, was the same age as Nathaniel. The "M.RD" may have meant Messongo Road. His daughter Susanna's marriage license bond of 1820 shows her as the daughter of Nathaniel Hall, deceased, and Elizabeth. An Elizabeth Hall is a head of househould in the 1820 Acc Parish Census. Nathaniel was born circa 1765 at Accomack Co, VA.² Nathaniel was named as an heir on 22 October 1781 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Nathaniel Hall in the will of Scarbrough Tunnell, wife Catherine. He was given £5 to educate him..³ He married Elizabeth (-----) circa 1790. He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1800 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA.² Nathaniel died before 1820.⁴

     Elizabeth was born circa 1765. She married Nathaniel Hall, son of Thomas Hall, circa 1790.

     Susanna was born circa 1796 at Accomack Co, VA. She married James H. Taylor, son of Charles Taylor Sr. and Tabitha Miles, on 31 August 1820 at Accomack Co, VA. David Watts and Parker Lucas were the securities on the M.L.B. of James H. Taylor of Charles and Susanna Hall of Nathaniel Hall dec'd and Elizabeth..¹ She married Edward W. Ewell on 1 February 1837 at Accomack Co, VA. John S. Ewell & Samuel White were the security on the M.L.B. of Edward W. Ewell and Susan Taylor, widow of James..¹

     James was born circa 1795 at Accomack Co, VA. He married Susanna Hall, daughter of Nathaniel Hall and Elizabeth (-----), on 31 August 1820 at Accomack Co, VA. David Watts and Parker Lucas were the securities on the M.L.B. of James H. Ewell & Samuel White were the security on the M.L.B. of Edward W. Ewell and Susan Taylor, widow of James..¹ Administration of James's estate was filed on 25 January 1841 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of James H. Taylor was granted to Samuel P. Taylor with John Massey & Oliver Logan securities.³

     Emmanuel was born circa 1620. He married Ann (-----) circa 1645.² According to Whitelaw, p92, in 1665 Mark Manlowe, late of North Carolina, received a patent in his name for 200 acres of N16, which is just northeast of Capeville, and sold it to Emmanuel Hall. In 1666 Hall left to his son John. Emmanuel was named in a deed in in 1665 at Northampton Co, VA.³ Emmanuel made a will on 3 April 1666 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as Immanuel Halle. To my eldest son John Hall my land and for want of his heirs to return to my youngest son Immanuel Hall, and if both die without heirs to return to my dau. Ann Hall, only my wife's lifetime excepted. To my dau. Ann two cows. Wife [no name] extrx. and resid. legatee. Witt: Edward Innis, William Innis, George Lillie.² Emmanuel died before 28 May 1666 at Northampton Co, VA.^3,4

     John was born circa 1645. John was named in his father's will on 3 April 1666 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as my eldest son John Hall (under age) in the will of Immanuel Halle, wife no name.² John was named in a deed in in 1679 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ According to Whitelaw, p92, John Hall received a patent of 345 acres to include the 200 acres bought by his father (Emmanuel) and the 145 acres of surplus land found within the bounds of N16, which is just northeast of Capeville. In 1718 a John Hall and his wife Santeke sold the 145 acres surplus part to Thomas Batson, saying it was part of the 345 acres patent to his father John Hall (s/o Emmanuel).³

     Emmanuel was born circa 1648. Emmanuel was named in his father's will on 3 April 1666 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as my youngest son Immanuel Hall (under age) in the will of Immanuel Halle, wife no name.² He married Elizabeth (-----) circa 1668.¹ Emmanuel was named in a deed in in 1684 at Northampton Co, VA.³ According to Whitelaw in 1693, Emmanuel Hall and his wife Elizabeth deeded to John and Elizabeth James for life and then to the heirs of Elizabeth, so she may have been a daughter of the Halls. In 1696 John James left his estate to his wife and two children. In 1727 George Brinson and his wife Emery sold the 50 acres of Hall land to Thomas and Robinson Savage, saying it had been escheated by the mother of Emery. In 1734 John and Anne Custis gave a deed of release for the Hall land, after which it became lost in the complicated ownership of the Savage family lands.⁴ Emmanuel made a will on 1 December 1695 at Northampton Co, VA. To my son John Hall my plantation. To my grandchildren Pasabell and Ann 2 heifers to be kept by their father John James. To my dau.-in-law Mary Dalby my mare, but not to hinder her mother from its use. Remaining estate to my loving wife Elizabeth Hall for life and then to my son John. Wife extrx. Witt: (Capt.) Obedience Johnson, Samuel Palmer, Obedience Johnson, Jr.⁵ Emmanuel died before 28 July 1696 at Northampton Co, VA.^3,5

     Elizabeth was born circa 1645. She married Emmanuel Hall Jr., son of Emmanuel Hall Sr. and Ann (-----), circa 1668.¹ As of circa 1668,her married name was Hall.¹ Elizabeth was named in her husband's will on 1 December 1695 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as wife Elizabeth in the will of Emanuell Hall. He also named a daughter-in-law (meaning step-daughter) Mary Dalby.² Elizabeth died after 1696.³

     John was born circa 1670 at Northampton Co, VA. He married Frances (-----) circa 1690.² John was named in his father's will on 1 December 1695 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as my son John Hall in the will of Emanuell Hall, wife Elizabeth.³ According to Whitelaw, p509, in 1696, Emmanuel Hall, Jr. (wife Elizabeth) left a protion of N102, which is near Jamesville, to his son John, and the next year John left to his wife Frances to bring up their two children. One of these children may have been Abraham Hall, husband of Ann Mary Jones of Northampton Co in 1748, see Whitelaw, p237. John Hall, husband of Catherine Philby of Acc Co in 1731, see Whitelaw, p1274, could also have been one of these children.⁴ He made a will on 18 December 1696 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as John Hall who died 19 Dec 1696. Entire estate to my wife Frances Hall to bring up my children, they being her children, I leave them in her care. Witt: Elizabeth (EG) Griffiths and Jerom Griffiths Sr..⁵ John died in March 1697 at Northampton Co, VA.⁵ John's will was probated on 29 March 1697 at Northampton Co, VA. The witnesses Elizabeth Griffiths and Jerom Griffiths Sr. are husband and wife..⁵

     Frances was born circa 1670. She married John Hall, son of Emmanuel Hall Jr. and Elizabeth (-----), circa 1690.¹

     Anne was born in 1663.³ Anne was named in her father's will on 3 April 1666 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as my daughter Ann Hall (under age) in the will of Immanuel Halle, wife no name.² As of before 28 August 1679,her married name was Fathrey.³ She married (-----) Fathrey before 28 August 1679.³ Anne was named as an heir on 28 August 1679 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as Anne Fathrey, aged 16, when she witnessed the will of William Beadle, who left his entire estate to the mother of Anne Fathrey and she was to pay his debt to Thomas Eyre. The dec'd's estate was placed in the custody of Anne Parsons.³ As of circa 1700,her married name was Isaac.¹ She married John Isaac circa 1700.¹ Anne Hall patented land in 1705 at Northampton Co, VA. It was in this year that a patent was issued to Anne Hall (now the wife of John Isaac) for 100 acres, stating that the land had escheated from Emmanuel Hall.⁴

     John was born circa 1630. He married Amey Costin, daughter of Stephen Costin Sr. and Ann Dixon, circa 1675 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ John was named in his father-in-law's will on 22 January 1685 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as John Isaac, husband of my daughter Amey, in the will of Stephen Costin Sr., planter, wife Jane.¹ He married Anne Hall, daughter of Emmanuel Hall Sr. and Ann (-----), circa 1700.²

     John was born circa 1682. He married Santeke|Santica (-----) circa 1700.² John died in 1751.³

     Santeke|Santica was born circa 1680. She married John Hall II, son of John Hall I, circa 1700.¹ She married Patrick Wilkins circa 1752.² Santeke|Santica died in 1761.²

     According to Whitelaw, p60, in 1761 Sanctica Wilkins, widow of Patrick, left 360 acres, part of N4 on the very souther tip of Northampton Co, to her son John Hall, and he and his wife Elizabeth promptly sold 160 acres to William Simpkins. In 1768 Hall alone sold 80 acres to John Burton and the next year 117 acres to William Knight. Also on p684, in 1745 John and Phoebe Rowles sold a portion of A30, which is near Hacksneck, to John Hall, Sr. and in 1757 John and Elizabeth Hall of Northampton Co sold to Richard Cutler. Since John and Elizabeth named their son Daniel Roles/Rowles Hall and based on this land sale, it is assumed that Elizabeth was the daughter of John and Phoebe Rowles. John was born circa 1705. He married Elizabeth (-----) circa 1725.² John was named in a deed in in 1761 at Northampton Co, VA.² John died in 1777 at Northampton Co, VA.¹

     Elizabeth was born circa 1705. She married John Hall III, son of John Hall II and Santeke|Santica (-----), circa 1725.² Elizabeth was named in a deed in in 1757 at Accomack Co, VA.³ Elizabeth died after 1761.²

     The spelling of the middle name of Daniel R. Hall of Northampton Co, VA, has been found to be different in several records: Roles, Reales, Rowles. His two Northampton Co marriage records shows him as Roles and another record implies Rowles. Capt. Daniel Reales Hall was a Northamption Co Militia Officer who was recorded as having served during the period of the Revolutionary War. He is listed for both 1777 and 1778. In 1792 Daniel R. and Susanna Hall sold 200 acres of N12 and 201 acres of N16 which are just southwest of Capeville, to Anthony Burris. Daniel was born circa 1730. He married Susanna (134) Burton, daughter of John Burton and Esther (49) Harmanson, on 5 February 1772 at Northampton Co, VA.^1,2 Daniel served in the Revolutionary War in in 1777. He was a captain in the Rev. War in 1777 and later moved to Norfolk County..³ He married Susanna (480) Wilkins, daughter of John (O.P.) (175) Wilkins and Susannah (171) Stratton, on 22 November 1780 at Northampton Co, VA.² Daniel was named in a deed in in 1792 at Northampton Co, VA.⁴ Daniel died after 1796 at Norfolk Co, VA.^1,3

     Susanna was born circa 1740 at Northampton Co, VA. Susanna was named in her father's will on 16 April 1746 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as daughter Susannah Burton in the will of John Burton, wife Esther.³ As of 27 September 1760,her married name was Guy.¹ She married John Guy, son of Major Guy and Lucretia Respess, on 27 September 1760 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ Susanna was named in her husband's will on 14 January 1771 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as wife Susanna in the will of John Guy, planter, wife Susanna.⁴ She married Daniel Roles Hall, son of John Hall III and Elizabeth (-----), on 5 February 1772 at Northampton Co, VA.^5,1

     John was born circa 1705 at Northampton Co, VA. John was named in his brother's will on 25 March 1745 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as John Guy in the will of Major Guy, merchant.¹ He married Betty Parker, daughter of John Parker (III) and Frances Coleburn, before 1765.

     John was born circa 1712 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ John was named in his grandfather's will on 21 April 1719 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as my grandson John Burton (under age) in the will of John Eyre, son-in-law Samuel Burton. This is part of Whitelaw's tract N5.^2,3 John was named in his father's will on 29 March 1728 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as my son John in the will of Samuel Burton, wife Procilla. He was given plantation at Magette Bay in N'hamp called Golden Quarter, containing 534 acres. He was left in the care of his uncle Stratton Burton until he was age 21.¹ It was on this date that upon the petition of Francis Stockley, it was ordered that John Mellichop deliver to Stockley the estate that Capt. John Eyre (deceased) left to his grandson John Burton (orphan)-or that he give security for doing it when John Burton came of age. Stockley swore that he paid Samuel Burton five shillings which Eyre had left for purchasing John a Bible. Ordered that Millichop pay that as well. On 6 Oct 1730 upon the petition of Stratton Burton, guardian of John Burton (orphan), John Mellichop and Priscilla his wife were summoned to the next court.⁴ He married Esther (49) Harmanson, daughter of Thomas (37) Harmanson III and Elizabeth (14) Robins, circa 1735 at Northampton Co, VA. John Burton bought land between 1737 and 1746 at Northampton Co, VA. John Burton (wife Esther) bought 150 acres of tract N3 from Levi Moore and left it to his son William in 1746. In 1785 a John & Bridget Burton sold as 123 acres to Robert Trower and it became merged with his other lands. (NOTE: Evidently William died without issue and it went to his brother John.).⁵ John made a will on 16 April 1746 at Northampton Co, VA. To my son William the 150 A. plantation that I bought of Levy Moore. To my son John the 534 A. plantation I now live on. (NOTE: This was part of Whitelaw's tract N5.)      John was born circa 1724 at Northampton Co, VA. John was named in his grandfather's will on 22 June 1731 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as grandson John Wilkins (under 18) in the will of John Wilkins Sr.² He married Katherine (75) Sparrow, daughter of Thomas Sparrow and Anne (16) West, on 7 September 1748 at Northampton Co, VA.³ He married Susannah (171) Stratton, daughter of John (55) Stratton and Susannah (-----), on 18 May 1753 at Northampton Co, VA.⁴ He married Mary (35) Parramore, daughter of John (11) Parramore and Sarah Justice, on 13 June 1769 at Northampton Co, VA.⁵ He was referred to in the records as John Wilkins (O.P.), meaning Old Plantation. He was a justice of N'hamp County, county lieutenant, 1777-78. He married Susanna Johnson, daughter of Obediah Johnson and Priscilla Scarburgh, on 15 November 1786 at Northampton Co, VA. Charles Carpenter was the security on the M.L.B. of John (OP?) Wilkins and Susanna Carpenter..^4,6 John died before 9 January 1787 at Northampton Co, VA.⁴

     Patrick was born circa 1700. He married Santeke|Santica (-----) circa 1752.¹ Patrick was named in a deed in in 1760 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ Patrick died in 1760.¹

     Richard was born circa 1740. He married Jean 'Jenny' Hall, daughter of Col. Thomas Hall and Elizabeth Scarburgh, on 10 March 1786 at Accomack Co, VA.^1,2 Richard died after 1812.¹

     William was born circa 1740. He married Tabitha Hall, daughter of Col. Thomas Hall and Elizabeth Scarburgh, circa 1760.¹ William was named in a deed in in 1786 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ William died after 1786.¹

     According to Whitelaw, p237, Abraham Hall married Ann Mary Jones, daughter of John Jones and Frances Savage. Frances Savage was first married to Samuel Powell, and after his death she married John Jones. Frances was the daughter of Captain John Savage and his wife Mary. Abraham may have been one of the two children of John Hall, who died in 1697, and his wife Frances. See Whitelaw, p509 and N103. Abraham was born circa 1725 at Kent Co, DE.¹ Abraham was named in a deed in in 1748 at Northampton Co, VA.² He married Ann Mary (45) Jones, daughter of John Jones and Frances (10) Savage, circa 1750.^3,1 Abraham died circa 1770.⁴

She was shown as my youngest daughter, no name, now lately born in the will of Capt.      Pasabell was born circa 1686 at Northampton Co, VA.² Pasabell was named in her grandfather's will on 1 December 1695 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as grandchild Pasabell in the will of Emanuell Hall. He gave my grandchildren Pasabell and Ann 2 heifers to be kept by their father John James.²

     George was born circa 1690. He married Emery James, daughter of John James and Elizabeth Hall, circa 1720.¹ George was named in a deed in in 1727 at Northampton Co, VA.¹

     William was born circa 1720 at Accomack Co, VA. He married Alice Meredith, daughter of William Meredith Sr. and (-----) (-----), circa 1746.³ He made a will on 17 August 1756 at Accomack Co, VA. To son William Scarburgh land which "my grandfather gave to my father lying on Cradock Creek." To wife Alice all the surplus land to be found in all the lands I possess for life and then to my son William. Wife Alice Executrix.      Carson was born on 31 October 1905 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.^2,3 He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1910.¹ He married Novella Frances 'Teenie' White, daughter of Royal Fletcher White and Annie Wise Tapman, on 30 April 1941 at Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD.⁴ Carson was living in 1941 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.⁴ Carson died on 4 November 1987 at P.G. Hospital, Salisbury, Wic Co, MD, at age 82.^2,3 His body was interred at Groton's Cem, Hallwood, Acc Co, VA.²

     John Rowles wrote his will on 29 Dec 1746 and it specified: To wife Phebee whole estate real and personal. Executor: wife. Witnesses: Thomas Hall, Richard Cutler, Ann Mary Niblet. John was born circa 1680. He married Phebee Moore, daughter of Gilbert Moore and Katherine Gelding, circa 1700.² John was living in 1709.¹ John was named in a deed in in 1745 at Accomack Co, VA.³ John's will was probated on 30 January 1749.⁴ John died in 1749.⁴

     Phebee was born circa 1680 at Northampton Co, VA.¹ She married John Rowles II, son of John Rowles I and Alice Major, circa 1700.² Phebee was named in her father's will on 30 March 1708 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as my daughter Phebee, wife of John Roules, in the will of Gilbert Moore, wife Katherine.¹ Phebee made a will on 11 June 1754. To Ephraim More, son of Ephraim More. To cousin John Hall. Cousin Santeke Hallet negro for life, reversion to the 3 children she had by her first husband, William, Francis and Santeke Hallet. To Daniel Rowles Hall. Wittnesses: Michael Hall, Peter Watson, Robert Wale.³ Phebee died before 28 October 1755.⁴ Phebee's will was probated on 28 October 1755 at Accomack Co, VA.^4,5

     Henry was born circa 1790. He married Ann Hack Pitt Beard, daughter of Matthews Beard and Ann Hack Pitt, 01 Dec 1818 (bond) at Accomack Co, VA. M. Beard and Alex. McCollum were the securities on the M.L.B. of Henry Hammond Hall and Ann Hack Pitt Beard of Matthew..² Dr. Henry H. Hall is mentioned in Whitelaw, p1297, as the husband of Ann Hack Pitt Beard, who inherited the portion of A163 which contains the house called "Pitt's Neck." In 1834 Dr. Hall and his wife Ann sold the home plantation to Thomas R. Joynes, and four years later a survey produced 1,703 acres of upland and marsh. Mrs. Hall had been the only heir-at-law of John Pitt and also of her uncle John Beard of Maryland, both of whom had served in the Revolution, so the land rights to which they were entitled descended to her. With them, the Halls took up land in Illinois and moved there. Dr. Hall established the town of Hallsville, but later changed the name to Virginia, in an effort to please his wife, who had never been satisfied with the move. That town is now the county seat of Cass County, Illinois. Thomas R. Joynes sold the house and 614 acres of land and marsh to Thomas W. Hargis, and in 1868 it was purchased by James H. Fletcher. In 1902 Julia W. Fletcher sold to Seth E. Bell the house and the western part of the neck inherited from her father, and in 1925 he left the house and the adjacent land to his son Harry F. Bell.³

     Ann was born circa 1790 at Accomack Co, VA.² She married Dr. Henry Hammond Hall 01 Dec 1818 (bond) at Accomack Co, VA. M. Beard and Alex.      Matthews was born circa 1770. He married Ann Hack Pitt, daughter of Robert Pitt IV and Catherine (-----), circa 1790.² Matthews was named as administrator of an estate on 29 December 1800 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of Charles Beard was granted to Matthew Beard with with widow relinquihing. William Downing, William Stran & Robert Jenkins securities.³ He married Margaret Hatton, daughter of Walter Hatton Sr. and Margaret Muir, circa 1805.⁴ Matthews made a will on 12 August 1821 at Accomack Co, VA. Having only one child. Negroes Clem & Davy to serve my niece Sophiah Edwards for 5 years & then free forever. I give (Negro) Mary to my daughter's second child recently born who is to be called Ann Pitts & if she does not live, then to my daughter Ann Hall's next child living. My estate to be sold & the cash to my brother John Beard of Queen Ann's County, Maryland & my sister Susan Stockett of Tennessee near Nashville & at their decease they are to bestow the same on my daughter Ann A. P. Hall if she be a widow or survive her present husband & if she still be living with him, then to a trust for their children, but if they have none, then in a trust for my daughter & if she dies, then to my niece, but if my daughter dies leaving children, then to them. My wife has an estate of land on Pungoteague called Muirs Neck, of course she is well provided with a landed estate in case I die & leave her behind … & John Kellam pretended at his decease, I mean her first husband to give a life estate in some Negroes, but these Negroes had been given to Ann Hatton ... & I believe John Kellam had no power to withhold them & their increase from the disposal of his widow, that if anyone had a lawful claim to them it must have been Ann Hatton at whose decease they fell of course to my wife & myself as lawfull heirs. (Note: There is an explanation of the ownership & disposition of Negroes & also a dispute of wife's dower.) Negroes mentioned: Lucy & Sarah. Head stones for my grave & my daughter's, mother's & my grandson, John Pitt Hall, to be deducted out of my estate. As I have no relation here to act for me, then William Seymour Sr, William S. Tunnell, Walter D. Bayne, Oliver Logan or John Dennis to be Extr. & if they all refuse, then the Sheriff of the County or John Beard, if he can leave home, for the estate must along with all my papers be placed in the hands of John Beard as quick as he can be found & come & until then, my papers not to be thrown about. I may die at any time of year, but Dr. Hall must, in such case, be restrained as the law directs.⁵ He died before 24 February 1823 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was probated. She married Matthews Beard, son of (f/o_Chs_&_Mat) Beard, circa 1790.¹ As of circa 1790,her married name was Beard.¹ Ann was named in her father's will on 19 January 1794 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as my daughter Ann Hack Pitt in the will of Robert Pitt. She was given all the lands I am now possessed with.²

     Robert was born circa 1748 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Robert was named in his father's will on 16 October 1755 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as son Robert Pitt in the will of Robert Pitt, wife Ann. He was given 165 acres purchased of Dennis Blake & Joseph Gootee lying on the head of of Pitts Creek & mill dam branch.¹ Robert was named in his mother's will on 23 October 1761 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as son Robert Pitt (under age) in the will of Ann Pitt. He was given the land I bought lying at the head of Pitts Creek adjacent to William Drummond's mill.³ He married Catherine (-----) circa 1770.⁴ Robert was named in his brother's will on 14 November 1778 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as brother Robert Pitt in the will of John Pitt. He and his sister Ann were given all my land & marshes where I live to be divided between them.⁵ Robert made a will on 19 January 1794 at Accomack Co, VA. To daughter Ann Hack Pitt during her life all the lands I am now possessed with, & should she have issue to dispose of same as she shall think fit. To wife (no name) personalty, my black mare that I had of Thomas Custis &c. Should my daughter die without issue my relation Samuel Wilson Pitt to have all my lands, & should they offer to sell or mortgage the same Robert Pitt, the son of Jabez Pitt & his heirs to enjoy the same. My desire is that my Exr. get Robert Conner Pitt & John Corbin Pitt bound in Philadelphia to a trade. To my Exr. 50 £ for his services. Friend John Burton Exr.      Catherine was born circa 1750. She married Robert Pitt IV, son of Robert Pitt III and Ann (101) Hack, circa 1770.¹ As of circa 1795,her married name was Beard.² Catherine (-----) married Charles Beard, son of (f/o_Chs_&_Mat) Beard, circa 1795.² As of 23 December 1805,her married name was Henderson.^2,3 Catherine (-----) married Lemuel Henderson, son of James Henderson and Rhoda Marshall, 23 Dec 1805 (bond) at Accomack Co, VA. Zadoc Selby was the security on the M.L.B. of Lemuel Henderson and Catherine Beard.^2,3

     Athaliah was born circa 1740 at Northampton Co, VA. She married William (237) Arbuckle, son of Col. William Arbuckle and Catherine (70) Snead, on 20 May 1765 at Northampton Co, VA.¹

     William was born circa 1744 at Accomack Co, VA.² William was named in his father's will on 18 October 1746 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as a son William in the will William Arbuckel who stated "I give to my poor little fellow and Dear Child William my plantation I bought from Timothy Coe.".³ He married Athaliah Hall, daughter of John Hall III and Elizabeth (-----), on 20 May 1765 at Northampton Co, VA.²

     This Thomas Hall wrote his will 17 Apr 1755 and specified: To son James Hall, to son Thomas Hall, and grand daughter Mary Filbey. Executor: Son Thomas. Witt: Skinner Wallop and Sarah Hall. Thomas was born circa 1690. Thomas's will was probated on 27 January 1756 at Accomack Co, VA.^2,3 Thomas died in 1756.^2,3

She was shown as Mary Filby in the nunc will of Naomi Stockly..²

     This John Hall might be the same as the John Hall, husband of Catherine Philby, in Acc Co in 1731. See Whitelaw, p1274. John was born circa 1699 at Somerset Co, MD.¹

     John was born circa 1869 at Accomack Co, VA.³ John was listed with his parents in the census of in 1870 at Atlantic Dist, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as John Only, age 1 in HH#AT414, headed by Smith Only, age 25 and oystering..³ John was listed with his parents in the census of in 1880 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as a son Jno. W. Only, age 12 in a HH headed by his father Smith Only, a 34 year old oysterman..⁴ He married Lavinia Susan Trader, daughter of Littleton Parker Trader and Sarah W. Stokes, on 8 April 1891 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as John W. Onley, a 21 year old sailor, the son of Smith & Elizabeth Onley and she was shown as Lavinia S. Trader, age 17, the daughter of Littleton P. & Sarah Trader. They were married by W.F. Hayes. Lavinia S. Trader and John W. Onley were married 8 Apr 1891 at Sanford by Rev. W.F. Hayes (Pen. Ent., 18 Apr 1891)..^5,2 John died on 16 August 1930 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA. Mr. John W. Onley, aged 60 years, died at home at Sanford on 16 Aug 1930. His funeral was on 18 Aug at the Sanford Methodist Church by Rev. F.T. Fulcher, with interment in Taylor Cemetery. Survivors were listed (E.S. News, 22 Aug 1930)..⁶ His body was interred at J.W. Taylor Cem, Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.⁶

     Joel C. Onely, aged 60 years, died on 12 Jan 1940 in Baltimore Hospital. Services were at Cook Funeral Home on 12 Jan by Rev. Widiley, with interment in Groton's Cemetery on 16 Jan. He was born and raised in Sanford and move to Colonial Beach 35 years ago (E.S. News, 19 Jan 1940). Joel was born in 1878 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.² Joel was listed with his parents in the census of in 1880 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as a son Joel O. Only, age 2 in a HH headed by her husband Smith Only, a 34 year old oysterman..³ He married Virginia S. 'Jennie' Williams, daughter of William Henry Williams and Rose Ann 'Rosey' Stant, on 13 August 1902 at Worcester Co, MD. He was shown as Joel C. Only, age 24 and she was shown as Jennie Williams, age 23.      Mr. Lorenzo Kellam Chase, a farmer, died at his home at Hallwood on 13 Mar 1961, aged 88 years. He was the son of the late Teackle R. and Annie Elsie Byrd Chase. Survivors were listed (Pen. Ent., 16 Mar 1961). Lorenza was born in 1872 at Accomack Co, VA.² He married Rozenia J. Trader, daughter of Osburn James J. Trader and Sarah Ann Marshall, on 28 December 1898 at Accomack Co, VA.³ Lorenza was living in 1951.¹ Lorenza died on 13 March 1961 at Hallwood, Acc Co, VA.⁴ His body was interred at Wessells Cem, Mears, Acc Co, VA.²

     Rozenia was born on 12 January 1877 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Conflicting evidence states that Rozenia was born on 21 February 1877.² She was listed as a resident in the census report in 1880 at Accomack Co, VA.³ She married Lorenza Kellam Chase, son of Teackle R. Chase and Annie Eliza Byrd, on 28 December 1898 at Accomack Co, VA.⁴ Rozenia died in 1964.⁵ Her body was interred at Wessells Cem, Mears, Acc Co, VA.⁵

     Lois was born on 20 February 1911 at Poulson, Acc Co, VA. She married Leland Thomas 'Wink' Evans, son of Richard Thomas Evans and Murcise A. 'Minnie' Linton, on 11 March 1928 at Pocomoke City, Worcester Co, MD.² Lois died on 6 October 1995 at age 84. Lois was buried at Wessells Cemetery, Mears, Acc Co, VA.
