He could not be found in any other Acc Co Census. Gilbert is also listed as an heir of Ephriam Hall in the Acc Orders, 1832-36, p17, dated 25 Sep 1832. This is the basis for assuming that he was a son of Ephriam, although the record does not name him as a son of Ephraim, only as an heir. On his marriage licencse bond, another Gilbert Hall and a James White were listed as securities. Gilbert was born circa 1775 at Accomack Co, VA.2 He married Rachel Chandler on 17 July 1802 at Accomack Co, VA.3 He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1810 at St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.2 Gilbert died after 1832.1

     John C. Hall is listed as an enlisted man in an Acc Co Company of Light Infantry, 2nd Regiment, as of 28 May 1825, commanded by Capt. Tully R. Wise. John C. Hall is listed as a head of household in the 1830 Census in St. George's Parish, Acc Co, age 30-40, b.c. 1795. He was the only person in the household. He was the only Hall in St. George's Parish at this time, all the other Halls were in Acc Parish. John C. Hall is by this court appointed guardian to Mary Ann, Eliza and John Hall orphans of George Hall, dec'd and he thereupon together with John B. Ailworth and Raymond Riley secruities thereto entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of $1,000 conditioned according to law (Acc Orders 1832-36, p. 17, dated 25 Sep 1832). According to another entry on that same page, John C. Hall was the brother of George, the father of these children, and John C. and George were the sons of George Hall the eldest. He is also listed in the 1840 Census as John C. Hall, again in St. George's Parish, age 40-50, b.c. 1795. There were 2 other males, age 20-30, and a female, age 40-50, which would put his wife b.c. 1795. Louis D. Drummond was the security on the 1848 Acc Co M.L.B. of John C. Hall, widower, and Catherine C. Bagwell, widow of Henry. He was not found in the 1850 Acc Co Census, but a John Hall is in the 1860 Census in Wiseville PO, St. Geroge's Parish, age 62, b.c. 1798.
