Evans, late of the County of Accomack, was in his lifetime and at the time of his death seized of a piece of land in the County of Accomack, containing 80 acres, and being so seized departed this life on the ____ day of ____ 1815 intestate, leaving your oratrix Margaret Evans his widow and four children, viz: Elizabeth, Thomas, Ann & Margaret, to all of which said children the said land descended subject to the dower of your oratrix, Margaret &c.² He married Juliet Littleton Upshur, daughter of Littleton Upshur II and Mary Vaughn Wilson, on 28 January 1839.
