He married Mary Roach, daughter of John Roach I and Sarah Williams, in November 1683 at Somerset Co, MD.2,1 Francis Martin Sr. patented land on 29 May 1689 at Parkers Peace, Crisfield, Somerset Co, MD. It was 150 acres near modern day Crisfield.3 Francis made a will on 28 July 1699 at Somerset Co, MD. To son John all lands in the event there being no other son born. Should there be another son he to have 150 acres tract Cherryhinton. To eldest daughter Mary, daughters Sarah, Frances and Martha, personalty. In event of marriage of their mother, daughter to be of age at 15 and sons at 18. Wife Mary Extr and residuary legatee. Witt: Thomas Stookwell, Jno. Starling & Anthony Bell.4 He died before 3 August 1699 at Somerset Co, MD. It was on this date that his will was probated.4
