According to Whitelaw, this land became involved in a suit; after the death of her first husband Samuel Davis, Naomi married Joseph Stockley, who discovered that she had not been privately examined before she signed the deed to Solomon Ewell with Samuel Davis, so Stockley now claimed that the sale should be declared void. But the bill ordering this assessment was rejected by the Upper House.
