Thomas Rew

Thomas was born circa 1700 at Accomack Co, VA. On 8 Jan 1723/24 it was recorded that at the December court the sheriff was ordered to take Tho. Rew into custody for his appearance at this court to answer for fathering the child of Mary Lettleton, a single woman. After questioning him, the court ordered the sheriff to immediately take Rew into custody till he posted a bond to save the parish the cost of supporting the child and for his good behavior. He was also to pay court costs.1 On 2 Aug 1726 Mark Littleton brought action for damages of £20 against Thomas Rew for assault.
