     James was born in 1880 at Accomack Co, VA.² James bought land on 17 October 1906 at Wallops Neck, Acc Co, VA. It was on this date that James D. Justice and his brother, Quincey E. Justice, bought the Dr. Wallop farm in Wallops Neck from Gordy heirs (Acc Co Deeds 86, p. 206). It had been purchased from Sallie H. Wallop on 12 Feb 1902. The brothers paid $1300 for 468 acres, bordered on the north by Douglas D. Fletcher land, east by Simoneason Bay, on the south by Skinner Wallop heirs and on the west by Wallop and Johnson Mill Pond and Creek. James D. Justice farmed here until 1931, at which time his son Maurice Justice, became the owner (Acc Co Deeds 141, p. 102). The U.S. Government bought this farm on 16 July 1952, in its expansion of the U. S. Naval Auxiliary Air Station then operating across the highway (Acc Co Deeds 208, p. 157). The road to Chincoteague was rerouted around most of the farm before it turns eastward to cross the causeway. After the Air Station closed in 1959 the land was assigned to NASA and became part of the its Wallops Station. The NASA Visitor Center stands on part of this land..
