Thomas was born in 1661 at Accomack Co, VA.2 On 17 May 1675 in Accomack Court Mr. Hugh Yeo's servant named Thomas White was judged to be 14 years old and was ordered to serve accordingly.2 Thomas was named as an heir on 12 December 1677 at Accomack Co, VA. He was named only as Thomas White in the will of Robert Mason. Ambrose White, who had married Robert Mason's sister, was to assist Mason's wife to see my land confirmed to my children..1 On 7 Jul 1685 in Accomack Court Thomas White summoned his master, Morris Dennis, to court claiming that he had served his time and should have his corn and clothes. Dennis presented an account of the damages incurred when White ran away. White produced and eight year indenture and alleged that his first master had concealed it and the court had ordered him to serve ten years. He declared that when the court inspected his age, he "made exception against the court's adjudging his service and pleaded to his indenture." Is was ordered that the clerk produce the judgment concern White's age at the next court.3 On 2 Sep 1685 in Accomack Court Thomas White had served Morrice Dennis, his recent master, two extra months (beyond last 7 July); ordered that Dennis pay him 200 lbs tobacco for the extra service, unless he could show otherwise at the next court.4 On 20 Mar 1687/8 in Accomack Court Mr. Thomas Welburne, assignee of Thomas Clarke, produced a certificate signed by Mr. Arthur Robins on 25 Oct 1686. It stated that Clarke had apprehended Mr. Welburne's runaway servant called Thomas White about 50 miles from Welburne's plantation. Clarke was granted a certificate to the next assembly.5 On 2 Apr 1688 in Accomack Court it was recorded that William Shephard had apprehended Mr. Thomas Welburne's runaway servant Thomas White about 14 miles from his master's house and he had a certificate signed 22 Nov 1686.6 On 26 Nov 1688 in Accomack Court, Thomas White, Thomas Welburne's servant, agreed to make compensation by serving Welburne for one more year.7 Thomas was named as a headright on 19 November 1690 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Tho. White was on a headright list for John Morris. (NOTE: If this was the same Thomas White in earlier records, he would have been in the colony for at least 15 years.).8 Thomas died after 19 November 1690.

John Bennett, being 16 year of age 10 Aug last, bound himself an apprentice in open court of the said county to his brother Thomas Bennett till 20 years of age, to learn the trade of a shoemaker.3 He married Elizabeth Crippen, daughter of Thomas Crippen (I) and Elizabeth Fooks, circa 1710 at Accomack Co, VA.4 On 18 Aug 1713 Thomas Parramore presented to the court on the behalf of John Bennet the second bill of exchange of Henry Tews made payable to Thomas Bennett for 4 pounds 5 shillings drawn upon Mr. David Jeffins and Loves Boucher, merchants in Boston, and desired the Court that it may be recorded.5 On 8 Dec 1725 John McClester (attorney: W:W:) brought action for damages of £43:06:08 in country commodities against Thomas Bennett, who failed to appear, even though the sheriff reported him arrested with (torn page) Rogers as security. If Bennett did not come to the next court judgment would be granted against him and the bail.6 On 17 Dec 1730 Thomas Crippen named a grandson Bennet, son of Thomas & Elizabeth Bennet in his will.4 Thomas Bennett (b/o Jno & Barth) died before 2 July 1735 at Accomack Co, VA. He was evidently dec'd by this date as his son Thomas Bennett, aged 14 years, was bound to his wife's brother Paul Crippen to learn the trade of house carpenter.7

William was born in 1664 at Accomack Co, VA.2 On 18 May 1682 in Accomack Court, depostion of William White Jr., aged about 18 years: Last March when White was looking for some animals near the field at Craddock belonging to Mr. Thomas Teakle, Phillip and John Lecat Jr., came and asked him to help look for their mother's horse. White went with them into Matchetan's Neck, which belonged to Widow Huit; they met Joseph Milby, George Russell and Thomas Jenkins and found the horse in with a group of mares belonging to Thomas Hall. They tried to catch the horses, and as they tried, John Milby's dog followed along, barking until they drove the horses into the creek, at which time Joseph Milby "checked the said dog and brought him off. And then the horses rund by us and dog run after them again." When the horses ran over the gut, the dog stayed behind until the dogs with David Davinson started barking at the horses. Then Milby's dog joined the othters, one of which caught a horse by the hamstring as it was going up the bank. "Joseph said it was ten to one that dogs would have one of the horses down, and the Joseph Milby said that the dog was a devil when he was hot." The barking dogs followed the horses till they were out of sight; White, Milby, George Russell and Thomas Jenkins went around the head of the gut and met David Davinson on the other side. Russell, Jenkins and John Lecat Jr., crossed Widow Huitt's Plantation; Phillip Lecat, Milby, David and White stayed behind to catch Milby's mother's horse. They found the horses again in the point field, but White did not see any dogs; when the horses were driven down the branch, the dogs met them again. A little later Milby said that they had gotten one down. He called to David and said that a horse was dead. David replied, "Your dog hath killed it." Joseph said, "I have but one dog." White saw some blood on the water. Signed and sworn in open court on 18 May 1682, by William White.2 William was on the list of tithables at Accomack Co, VA, for in 1694. Wm. White Jr. was in Mr. Bally precinct with 2 tithables. This was his first time on the list (at least shown as Wm. White Jr.). There was a Hen. White, with 1 tithable, next to him. There is also a Wm. Wale, with 1 tithable, in the same precinct. In the next year, 1695, he was again listed as Wm. White Jr. with 1 tithable but this time he was next to Chas. White, who was in Mr. Bally precinct with 1 tithable for the first time..3 William bought land in 1695 at Accomack Co, VA. It was in this year that William White Jr. bought 100 acres of tract A27 from John and Jane Rowles..4 He married Margaret (-----) circa 1697 at Accomack Co, VA. William was named in his father's will on 24 February 1703 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as a son William White and given my whole estate in the will of William White. The other children were not named..1 William was named as the executor of a will on 3 August 1703 at Accomack Co, VA. On 5 July 1703 in Accomack Court Peter Rogers aged about 39 years and Richard Rogers aged about 36, said that on 29 June last, we heard William White (who was at the time in a very week & sickly condition, but sensible) say upon his being asked the question whether he would not make a will, that what he had was not worth making a will, but what he had he would give to that child that did most for him, and being asked who that was he replyed his son William White. Signed: Peter 'PR'
Rogers & Richard 'RR' Rogers. The nuncupative will of William White dec'd was presented to the court 3 Aug 1703 by his son William White who prayed probation thereof which being proved in open court of Accomack County by corporal oaths of Peter Rogers and Richard Rogers is ordered to be recorded. (Acc Co Wills & Etc., 1692-1715, Part 1, p. 38 (typed) Will of Wm. White, 10 Aug 1703).5 William sold land on 22 September 1704 at Accomack Co, VA. William White, carpenter, sold Richard Rogers for 1,000 lbs tobacco 100 acres lying at the head of great Nuswatocks otherwise called Andua Creek being at the main creek and bounded at the head between two branches ... formerly in the tenure & occupation of William Chase dec'd, being half of 200 acres formerly granted to John Rowles. Signed: Wm. 'X' White. Witt: Robt. Hutchinson & Daniel 'X' Middleson. Acknowledged in open court by William White on 3 Oct 1704. On 22 Sep 1704 Margaret White, wife of William White, freely & without any constraint released her rights in the property to Richard Rogers, including dower thirds or other rights of dower. Signed: Margret 'M' White. Witt: Robt. Hutchinson & Daniel 'DM' Middleson. (Acc Co Wills & Etc, 1692-1715, Part 1, p. 120 (typed) Deed: Wm. White to Richard Rogers, 22 Sep 1704).4 William died circa 1715 at Accomack Co, VA. There doesn't seem to be a record for the death of Wm. White, III, carpenter, wife Margaret. It seems highly unlikely that he could be the same Wm. White who left a will in 1767, as that would have made him just over 100 years old..6

Her being a sister to Solomon White is based only on her being a witness to the will of Isaac Dix and Solomon being an Extr. Leah was born circa 1718 at Accomack Co, VA. On 31 Jul 1739 in Accomack County Court, Solomon Baker, who had posted bond before Ralph Justice, now was charged "on oath" of fathering the "bastard child" born to Leah White, single woman. Ordered that Baker remain in the sheriff's custody till posting a £50:00:00 bond to save the parish the cost of supporting the child. Solomon and William Baker then each acknowledged they would owe £50:00:00 to the Accomack Parish church wardens (Richard Kitson and John Smith) if "the said Samuel Baker" (sic) did not support the child born to Leah White.2 Leah witnessed a will on 30 December 1740 at Accomack Co, VA.
