It was in this year that Jacob & Elizabeth White sold 500 acres of land and marsh from tract A20 to Thomas Teackle, to become merged with A19. Earlier in the year White had had the entail for a part of N118 docked and he then sold it to John Milby by a General Court deed; it is assumed that Milby had also had this entailed land docked and he had either sold or exchanged it with White for the Northampton land, which seems a logical way to account for White having title to the land, which he sold to Teackle..4 Jacob sold land in 1742 at Northampton Co, VA. In 1742 Elizabeth White released to John Milby her dower rights in the land (tract N118) Jacob White sold to Milby by a General Court deed..3 Jacob bought land in 1745 at Pig Point, Sanford, Acc Co, VA.      Nathan was born circa 1712 at Accomack Co, VA. On 2 Sep 1735 the Accomack Church wardens had informed the court that Barbara English had a bastard child. She appeared in court and was ordered to give security for her fine or be wipped according to law. Barbara swore that Nathan White was the father of her child, so he was orded taken into custody till giving security to save the parish the cost of rearing the child. Then on 7 Oct 1735 William Bagg agreed to save the parish the expense of raising the bastard child of Barbara English and Nathan White.2 He married Frances Parker, daughter of John Parker (III) and Frances Coleburn, circa 1745 at Accomack Co, VA.3,4 Nathan witnessed a will on 23 January 1750 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Nathan White, Edward Jones and William Wise witnessed the will of Michael Roach, of Accomack County, formerly of Somerset County, MD..5 Nathan was living in 1755 at Accomack Co, VA. It was this year that processioning records gave Nathan White as the owner of Sacker Parker Part of tract A59 (Mattapany), which is on the south side of Onancock Creek near the mouth of the creek. Sacker Parker had left this to his son John Parker in 1739 and no record was found of how it came to be owned by Nathan White. Evidently Whitelaw failed to realize that Nathan White's wife Frances was the daughter of John Parker and his wife Frances, so evidently Nathan's wife Frances inherited the property..3 Nathan was named in his father's will on 11 March 1768 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as a son Nathan White in the will of Henry White..1 Nathan died before 29 December 1794 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on his estate was granted to Elizabeth Badger. William Gibb and John Milby were securities. According to Whitelaw, Nathan had a wife Frances and left a son Henry White and three daughter: Elizabeth Badger, Parker the wife of Spencer Kellam, and Sarah the wife of William Boggs..6,3 Nathan was named in a land cause on 2 May 1796 at St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA. On 2 May 1796 there was a pratition suit of William Boggs & Sarah his wife, & Elizabeth Badger vs. Spencer Kellam & Parker, his wife, & Henry White, heirs of Nathan White, dec. That Nathan White, late of the County aforesaid was in his lifetime and at the time of his death seized in his demesne as of fee of and in a certain tract of land containing 147 acres in the Parish of St. George, and being so seized on the ____ day of ____ 179-, departed this life intestate, leaving a widow & the following children, Elizabeth, Sarah, Parker & Henry, by reason whereof the said William Boggs and Sarah his wife, in right of said Sarah, Elizabeth Badger, Spencer Kellam & Parker his wife, in right of said Parker, & Henry White entered into the said lands - Sheriff's return on summons "that the defendant Henry White not being found and having no place of abode within this county, that he gave Frances White, the tenant in possession of the premises due notice and a copy of the writ" &c..7

Mary (-----)

F, b. circa 1620
ChartsAncestors of William Taylor White (the Boy in the Iron Coffin)
Mary was born circa 1620. She married William White (I) Wheelwright circa 1640.1 On 16 Jul 1663 in Accomack Court, Murrin Cornelius had repeated several "speeches" disparaging the wife of Robert Huit. Cornelius confessed and said she had heard them from Mary White, but could not prove it. Cornelius was ordered to make her contrition by acknowledgement in court and in both Occahannock Church and Nanda Church. She was to pay court costs. Deposition of Hugh Cornelius and Marrion his wife on 16 July 1663: About a year ago Mary White related that Richard Hill's barrow got into Undimon's field, where Huitt kiled it and with his men carried it home. When the hog was dressed, the say Richard Hill's daughter coming to the house, so they cut off the hog's head and ran into a little room with it. As Capt. Baker and Hill were at Huitt's house the next Sabbath, they were invited to stay to dinner. Hill asked if that was part of the same poor sow that Huitt had sent Hill's wife a piece of. Mary White also related that Huitt had killed only one poor sow that year. She added that Robert Huitt's wife sent for her and asked what her nephew had said about her. Mary White told what had been related. Huitt's wife said that if Mary had told her in private, she would have liked Mary well, but now Richard Hill and everyone would hear it. Signed: Hugh 'X' Cornelius and Marrion [backward 3] Cornelius. John Lecatt, Charles Ratcliff, Hugh Turpin & Isaac Dix also gave depositions. On 18 Aug 1663 in Accomack Court, it was ordered that the suit brought against Mary White by Hugh Cornelius be dropped for lack of cause, with Conrelius paying court costs. It was ordered that Mary White, who "scandalized and abused" Goody Huit, her aunt, be committed into the sheriff's custody until she asked her aunt's forgiveness three times: once in open court, once before the congregation of each church in the county on succeeding Sabbath days. Mary White was to pay court costs. Deposition of Marrion Cornelius, aged about 25 years, 18 Aug 1663: Mary White told her ther Mary's Aunt Goody Huitt, while in England, stole a gown, a hood, and a scarf, and if she had not hastened out of England, she would have been stopped. Also she stole the doctor's instruments aboard the ship she came in and put them in Mary White's box in case she ship's master found it out. Signed: Marrion [O over arc] Cornelius. The slander probably took place near Whitelaw's tract A38, which was between Keller, Painter and Pungoteague, where Robert Huitt and William & Mary White were living at the time, not in Whites Neck. Robert Huitt owned land west of the Painter Road that he had bought from Ambrose White, marriner. It was the western part of the whole between the Deep Branch of Pokomoke Branch on the north and the southern branch of Pokomoke Branch on the west. In 1677 Robert Huitt bequeathed 300 acres to Rowland Savage.2,3
