Ordered that George Case alias Bristol aged Two Years be bound by Church Wardens of Accomack Parish to William Tilney untill Lawful age to learn the Trade of a Caulker he the said Tilney first giving Security for Performance of the Indenture.2 On 30 Aug 1757 William Tilney, guardian to Ann James, made oath to the account of Anne James. Since the entry was titled The Estate of Ann James to William Tilney, it is assumed that Ann James had died.3 He married Naomi (-----) circa 1770.4 William made a will on 26 May 1774 at Accomack Co, VA. To wife Neomy. To William Harrison. To Mary Guy, wife of Thomas Guy. To Philip Harrison, son of John Harrison. To Ufamy Harrison. Land & remainder of estate to be sold - John Spiers, Robert Coleburn & Robert Spiers Exrs. Witt: Littleton Wyatt, Jr., Henry Harmon, Robert Spiers.5 William died before 2 June 1774 at Accomack Co, VA. His will was partly proved 2 June 1774 and probated 29 June 1774. The citation sued out against John Harrison, heir at law to the testator, being returned by the sheriff that he was beyond seas, the same was admitted to record. He was a ship carpenter..1,5

He was shown as my grandson Edward Revell in the will of Ann Alexander, son William Burton Extr.3 He married Rebecca Coleburn, daughter of Robert Coleburn I and Rebecca Revell, circa 1718.4,5 Edward made a will on 22 March 1753 at Accomack Co, VA. In the name of God, Amen. I Edward Revell of Accomack County Virginia being of perfect mind and sound memory thanks be given to God but calling to mind the uncertainty of this life and knowing that it is appointed for all men to die do make this my last will and testament. First, I bequeath my soul to the Almighty God who gave it to me and my body to the earth to be decently entered as my Executors shall think proper and as to my worldly estate do give it as followeth: Imprimus: I give and bequeath to my loving wife, Rebecca Revell my five Negroes named Jack, Peter, America, Phaford and Hannah during her life and at her decease, Jack, Peter, America and Phaford to descend to my son John and Hannah to my daughter, Agnes Horsey. To my wife I give the choice of all my horses. My hogs. I do also give my son John my large silver tankard marked IRA, my silver tobacco box. One half dozen large silver spoons, one pair of gold studs with all my … buttons, my large cropper and looking glass with all my carpenter and cooper tools. Five maps, all mybooks, tow horses, one mare, five ploughs, five tongs and of iron doggs, one large pot and fort hooks … my … desk and china punch bowl and two-thirds of my cider casks with twenty head of cattle and twenty head of sheep, two oxen and one half of my hogs. I further give to my son, his choice of anyone of my feather beds and furniture thereto belonging and of my best chair also my mill and brandy mill to his mother as above said. Thirdly, I bequeath unto my daughter Agnes Horsey four Negroes named Will, Philip, Sailor, and Hannah above named to her and her heirs lawfully begotten forever. I … give unto said daughter my silver tankard which holds about one quart, one half dozen large silver spoons, one half dozen tea ditto tongs, … head of sheep, one young mare and ten pounds Bush. Rebecca was born circa 1695 at Accomack Co, VA. Rebecca was named in her father's will on 6 April 1698 at Accomack Co, VA. She was shown as a daughter Rebecca in the will of Robert Coulburn, wife Rebecca..1 As of circa 1718,her married name was Revell.2 She married Capt. Edward Revell, son of John Revell and Agnes Burton, circa 1718.2,3 Rebecca Coleburn deeded land as a gift in 1728 at Accomack Co, VA. In 1728 Rebecca Coleburn & her husband Edward Revell gave to (her brother) William Coleburn and in 1752 he (wife Temperance) left to his son Spencer under certain conditions, otherwise it was to go to his son William. The records following are not clear, and it is believed that Spencer retained the land, but in 1778 he died intestate and no record was found of his wife or children. Then in 1788 a Revell Coleburn sold 100 acres which had been left to him by his father (no record found). The buyer was Zorobabel Kellam, whose daughter Sabra married Thomas Coleburn.3

In 1715 Samuel Church & his wife Ellener resold (they had bought in 1708) land east of the seaside road and north of the Thomas Onions inheritance to Thomas Evans, who in 1751 left his home place to a son John.3 John was named in his father's will on 18 March 1751 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as a son John Evans and given the plantation where I now live containing 150 acres..1 He sold land in 1756 at tract A121, Modest Town, Acc Co, VA. In 1753 Paul Crippen (wife Margaret) left his plantation to his son Thomas, and 3 year later (1756) John and Anne Evans sold back to Thomas Crippen 290 acres, which was a part of a tract of land Crippen had sold to Evans by a General Court deed.4 John made a will on 30 January 1760 at Accomack Co, VA. To son Thomas Evans 210 acres where I now live. Daughter Mary Evans. Daughter Grace Evans. -------- Will not completed - Not signed - Not witnessed. Proved by Thomas Crippen, Thomas Evans, brother of John, & John Kitson. Probated on 27 Jan 1761 when the above writing was produced as the last will of John Evans, found since the last Court. Ann Evans, widow of the testator qualified.5 John died before 30 December 1760 at Accomack Co, VA.2,6 He deeded land as a gift in 1761 at tract A121, Modest Town, Acc Co, VA. It was in this year that John Evans (wife Anne) had added to his inheritance and now left as 210 acres to his son Thomas, who also acquired more land and in 1805 he and his wife Mildred sold as 250 acres to Sarah Crippen.3

Jim Revell shows her as 'Esther' Floyd..1,2 John Savage bought land in 1747 at Rogues Island, N'hamp Co, VA. It was in this year that John Savage and Matthew Floyd Sr. bought Rogues Island from Kendall Harmanson and his wife Ann. It was not traced further.3 John was named in his father-in-law's will before 26 May 1749 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as a son-in-law John Savage in the will of Berry Floyd. He also named granddaughters Esther & Sarah Savage.4 In Sept 1757 it was recorded in N'hamp Co that on the complaint of Easland Joyne, admx of Edmund Joyne and Comfort Henderson, extrx of John Henderson it is shown that in their lifetime the said Edmund and John became bound as securities for John Savage for his faithful administration of the estate of Berry Floyd as by his will dated 11 Dec 1750. The petitioners fear that they are in danger of suffering damage. The Sheriff of Acc Co is ordered to have the said John Savage appear. Case determined.5 He deeded land as a gift in 1761 at Northampton Co, VA. It was in this year that John Savage released the 150 acres of land his father-in-law Berry Floyd gave him to hold until Floyd's granddaughter Esther Savage either married or became age 21 to John & Esther Custis and 2 years later they sold to Moses Kellum. This was the Major Joynes part of tract N128 which is east of Exmore and and north of Willis Wharf.6
