Mapp Jr. died on 8 April 2010 at Parksley, Acc Co, VA, at age 94. Garland Bowdoin Mapp Jr., 94, husband of Roberta Rowe Mapp and a resident of Parksley, passed away at his residence on Thursday, 8 Apr 2010. Born on 30 Oct 1915 in Wachapreague, he was the son of the late Garland Bowdoin Mapp and Margaret Long Mapp. He was a retired engineer for the U.S. Government for 40 years with the department of Navy, and after retirement, sold real estate for 15 years. Mr. Mapp was a graduate of William and Mary; was a member of Grace United Methodist Church; served during World War II in the U.S. Navy; and was a member of Central Lodge #300 A.F. & A.M., the Eastern Shore Christian Businessmen's Association and the Kiwans Club of Accomack. Other then his wife, survivors include his children Anna Mapp Stoff and husband, Glenn, of Onancock, Richard J. Mapp and wife, Kathy, of Annandale, VA, Garland B. Mapp III and wife, Rose of Lynchburg, VA, and Cathy Mapp Tolbert of Virginia Beach, VA; Roberta's daughter, Leah M. Lutz and husband, Larry W., of Ashburn, VA; two half-brothers, Bill Mapp of Belle Haven, and Mason Mapp of Wachapreague; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services conducted at the Grace United Methodist Church in Parksley on Tuesday, 13 Apr, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Romy Velasco officating. Interment followed at the Wachapreague Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family request that memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Eastern Shore. (Eastern Shore News, Wednesday, 14 Apr 2010).

White, both of Laurel and Dixie Leikach of Ownings Mills, MD, a great-grandson Eric David Leikach of Owings Mills, a sister Ione W. Phillips of Chincoteague and a special friend Dorothy Chelton of Saxis. Auvergne was buried at Downing's Cemetery, Oak Hall, Acc Co, VA.

This may have been confused with Edwin's middle initial "K" which may be Kenneth. Trader, on 13 June 1926 at Somerset Co, MD.5 Parson was living on 16 January 1942 at Saxis, Acc Co, VA, (Selective Service).6 Parson died on 10 August 1952 at DePaul Hospital, Norfolk, VA, at age 51.7 His body was interred at J.W. Martin and a resident of Saxis for 70 years, died in Arcadia Nursing Home, Gargatha on Saturday, 31 Aug 1996. Born and reared in Accomack County, she was the daughter of the late Kellam Chase and Roxena Trader Chase. She was retired from the Shirt Factory and Taylor Canning Factory. She was a member of the Saxis United Methodist Church. Mrs. Martin is survived by four children, Edwin Martin of Saxis, Wilson Martin of Riviera, Texas, Jerry Martin of San Antonio, Texas and Emma Jean Hawthorne of Salisbury, MD. She was predeceased by a sister, Clarenda Evans.2
