Mary was born in 1632. She deposed in Dec 1662 that she was aged 30, which puts her birth at 1632..2,3 As of circa 1646,her married name was Studson.2,4 She married John Studson I circa 1646 at Northampton Co, VA.2,4 As of circa 1650,her married name was Warder.2,4 She married Robert Warder circa 1650.2,4 As of before 31 December 1650,her married name was Robinson.2,4 She married John Robinson I before 31 December 1650 at Northampton Co, VA.2,4 On 11 Nov 1653 John Robinson Sr. gave by deed of gift to John Robinson Jr., to his (John Robinson Sr.'s) son William Robinson, and to the children of John Studson dec'd, viz: John Studson and Mary Studson. (Marshall's Note: John Studson the son of Mary the wife of Robert Warder is referred to and by 31 Dec 1650 John Robinson had married the wife of Robert Warder.).4 Mary was named in her husband's will on 13 January 1661 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as my wife Mary Robinson and named extr. in the will of John Robinson..5 Mary was named as an heir on 12 June 1661 at Northampton Co, VA. She was shown as John Cutting's daughter Mary Parramore in the will of Richard Bayly, freehoulder.1 As of 20 April 1662,her married name was Parramore.2 She married John (1) Parramore on 20 April 1662 at Northampton Co, VA.2 She was shown as Mary Parramore when deposed in Dec 1662 that she was aged 30, which puts her birth at 1632.3 On 17 Aug 1663 Mary Paramore, formerly Mary Studson, and her son John Studson requested in open court that Col. Edm. Scarburgh evaluate their 250 acres of land in Arrococo Neck and to do as he sees fit concerning their land lying between Mr. Hugh Yeo and Mr. Tho. Fookes.6 On 16 Sep 1665 John Studson, who recently died, had owned cattle that were now in the possession of Mary Paramore. The cattle derived from a heifer and cow calf given to Studson by John Robinson, deceased, on the condition that the cattle return to Robinson if Studson were to die in his minority without issue. Capt. Jno. Custis, on behalf of Robinson's orphans, petitioned the court for the return of the cattle. Ordered that Mary Paramore deliver the cattle and pay court costs. The Northampton County deed of gift, signed 11 November 1653, by John Robinson, planter, specified the following: - to his son John Robinson, Jr.: one red cow called Husse, one black heifer, one pied cow calf, to have forever - to his son Wm. Robinson: one pied heifer, to have forever - to John Studson, son of John Studson, deceased: one pregnant red heifer, one brown cow calf, to have under the same conditions as Mary.
- to Mary Studson, daughter of John Studson, deceased: one pregnant red and white cow, to have forever unless she died in her minority or without issue, then the cattle and their increase would return to John Robinson, Sr., or his heirs. Witnessed by Thomas Johnson and Alphonsus Ball. Recorded by Edm. Mathews. (NOTE: So evidently he died under age and without heirs and so his circa birth year of 1646 seems reasonable.).7 Mary was named in her husband's will on 6 February 1675 at Somerset Co, MD. She was named a wife Mary in the will of John Parramore..2 She sold land in 1676 at Northampton Co, VA. It was in this year that Richard Robinson and his mother Mary Parramore (widow of John) joined in a deed for the 150 acres to Thomas Marshall.8 She made a will on 28 May 1696 at Northampton Co, VA. The undated verbal will of Mary Parramore, widow, was proved 28 May 1696. My negro Gustis to my son Robinson but for want of his heirs to my son Richard Parramore. Witt: Mary Dalby aged 39; Esther Noble, Sarah Simes aged 47, and George Balliman agee 45..2,9 Mary died before 28 May 1696 at Northampton Co, VA.9

John Studson I

M, b. circa 1625, d. circa 1649
John was born circa 1625. On 3 Jan 1642/43 John Stuttson deposed in open court that being at work up Mr. Charltons ground did hear John Cuttings tell John Knight carpenter saying it was long of you that I came for Virginia you promised to free me so the said Knight replyed saying I will perform my promise so imediately the said Knight departed and went to Mr. Yardley's house and at his return home this deponent being at work in the said ground up the frame of the house did hear the said Knight tell the said Cuttings saying I asked Mr. Yardley's advice concerning thy freedom and Mr. Yardley (Argoll Yardley Esquire) gave me advice therein I haven told him thy case and further this deponent heard the said Knight tell the said Cuttings saying if it bee upon thy conditions that thou are to have all necessaries at the first penny if Mr. Charlton do not perform his promise with you I will set you free for what I do I have advice from Mr. Yardley. In further deposition John Stutson said that Mr. Charlton and John Knight carpenter being at some difference did hear Knight tell Mr. Charlton, I care not to work with you any longer except I might work quietly, whereunto Mr. Charlton answered saying if thou find any fault then go and bring me my monie as I have layed out and I am engaged for and go whether thou will, then Knight answered saying I will do it tomorrow and bring you your monie. Knight did continue in the work for ten days after and then went away and left his work.1 He married Mary Cutting, daughter of John Cutting I and (-----) (-----), circa 1646 at Northampton Co, VA.2,3 John Studson I bought land in 1648 at Northampton Co, VA. It was in this year that John Studson bought 200 acres of tract N110 (near Silver Beach) from Leonard Peddocke but nothing more was noted about him in this vicinity. In 1650 Benjamin Lawrence deposed that Peddocke had sold 250 acres to John Robinson; no deed was recorded but Robinson later obtained a title from Francis Yardley.4 He died circa 1649 at Northampton Co, VA. On 11 Nov 1653 John Robinson Sr. gave by deed of gift to John Robinson Jr., to his (John Robinson Sr.'s) son William Robinson, and to the children of John Studson dec'd, viz: John Studson and Mary Studson. (Marshall's Note: John Studson the son of Mary the wife of Robert Warder is referred to and by 31 Dec 1650 John Robinson had married the wife of Robert Warder.).3 He patented land on 6 March 1653/54 at Keller, Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that there was an unrecorded patent to John Studson for 250 acres of tract A37 (west side of Keller), which was reissued to him in 1661. Nugent shows a patent was issued on 6 Mar 1653/54 to John Studson (or Hudson) for 250 acres in N'hamp begining at land of John Robins & running towards land of Tho. Johnson. (NOTE: Since John Studson I was shown to be dec'd by 1649 or 1650, it is assumed this patent was actually awarded to his son and heir-at-law John Studson II.).5,6 On 17 Aug 1663 Mary Paramore, formerly Mary Studson, and her son John Studson requested in open court that Col. Edm. Scarburgh evaluate their 250 acres of land in Arrococo Neck and to do as he sees fit concerning their land lying between Mr. Hugh Yeo and Mr. Tho. Fookes.7
