She was shown as daughter Nancy Groten, wife of William Groten, in the will of Arthur Roberts, wife Patience.⁶ She married James Gunby circa 1810.⁵ Nancy died before 1818.²

Neither has a probate record been found for Sally (Wallace) Mears, nor a record of her remarriage after her husband's death in 1837. At the sale of James Mears' personal estate on 1 Nov 1837 there were no items sold to Sally Mears or "the widow" which was unusal if she had been living (Acc Co Inventories, 1837-1839, p. 418).²

Moore Jr. & John Arlington securities.⁴ The Locust Grove property was bought in 1774 and 1798 by Elisha Mears of Wm of Wm of the first Bartholomew Mears. Elisha and Ann Arlington (Mears) Mears had a son Elisha W. Mears, who died without heirs and the property acquired by his grandfather Elisha Mears passed to his half brothers and sisters, children of Ann Arlington Mears by her third husband.⁵

It was on this date that Richard Kellam Senr of Accomack gave to his son Richard Kellam Jr. of same place, 500 acres upon Occahannock Creek for his use, and entailed to such of his male issue as he Richard Jr. shall deem fitting to receive it, failing such issue then to sons Edward, William, daughter Katherine Taylor, daughter Ann Kellam (later Wallis), daughter Rachel Lingo, successively. Richard Senr & wife Sarah to have use for life.² He received land as a gift on 29 January 1686/87 at Matchepungo Creek, Acc Co, VA. It was on this date that Richard Kellam Sr. executed a Deed of Gift to his son Edward Kellam for 300 acres on Matchepungo Creek, being part of 400 acres fromerly taken up by John Evans, together with the plantation where the said Edward Kellam now lives, to begin at a branch commonly called the Beaver Dam Branch, and for want of heirs to my two sons, Richard and William Kellam to be equally divided between them, and for want of heirs to dau. Rose Garrison, and for want of heirs to dau. Bridget Kellam, alias Savage, reserving to himself and wife Sarah the use of the said lands for life.³ Edward was named as an heir on 29 January 1686/87 at Matchepungo Creek, Acc, VA. It was on this date that Richard Kellam Sr. made a deed of gift (D.G.) of 300 acres on Matchepungo Creek to his son William Kellam. It began at the mouth of Beaver Dam Branch over against that point of land where Francis Roberts now lives, together with the plantation where the said William Kellam now lives, and for want of heirs to sons Richard and Edward to be equally divided between them and for want of heirs to grandson Henry Turner, reserving to himself and wife Sarah Kellam the use of the lands for life.² He married Sarah Watson, daughter of Robert Watson Sr. and Susan (-----), circa 1692.^4,5 Edward Kellam patented land on 7 June 1698 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Edward Kellam on a certificate granted for 150 aces for transporting 3 persons into the colony.⁶ Edward was named in his father's will on 1 June 1703 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as my son Edward Kellam and given 5 shillings in the will of Richard Kellam, wife Sarah.¹ He patented land in 1705 at Wachapreague, Acc Co, Va. It was in this year that a patent was issued to Edward Kellam for tract A45. He had found 130 acres between A43 and A46 that had never been taken up. He later seated his son John on the land in his will of 1737 Edward (wife Sarah) left it to John. In 1771 John Kellam, wife Ursulla) left his home place to his son Zorobabel and 20 years later, he (wife Mary) left it "to my son Thomas in case he ever returns home, but if he does not return then to my son John Kellam for life and then to my grandson Thomas H. Kellam." In 1812 Thomas H. Kellam sold the original 130 aces to Thomas Ashby. While it was not traced further, the major part of the land later became owned by John S. Mears, and the western part by Dr. George LeCato.⁷ He deeded land in 1720 at Accomack Co, VA. It was in this year Edward Kellam gave 90 acres of tract A42 (between Quinby and Wachapreague) to his daughter Mary and her husband William Groton. This was northwest of the seaside road and between it and A41.⁸ He made a will on 18 October 1736 at Accomack Co, VA. To son John Kellam 130 acres where he now lives as it is patented in my own name, also the plantation where I now live with all the land between a branch called Bussells Branch & the line of Arthur Roberts land, containing 150 acres. Fisher, daughter of Thomas (89) Fisher and Susanna (104) Trader, circa 1780. Since he was the administrator of Thomas Fisher's estate, perhaps he had married one of his daughters. Shadrack had a wife Esther in 1817..³ Shadrack was named as administrator of an estate on 31 January 1786 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Thomas Fisher's estate was administered to Shadrack Mears with William Andrews as security. George Savage, John Young, Henry Fletcher and Robert Small, or any 3 of them, were appointed appraiser. (NOTE: Perhaps he married one of Thomas Fisher's daughter.).³ Shadrack was named in his uncle's will on 2 February 1796 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as a cousin (meaning nephew) Shadrack Mears in the will of Jonathan Mears. Since Jonathan also had a known brother Shadrack, he would not have referred to his brother Shadrack as a cousin..¹ In 1812 in Acc Co Shadrack Mears & wife Esther exchanged Valentine Smith lands in Messongo with John Mears (son of Shadrack) & wife Scarburgh Mears (daughter of Valentine Smith).⁴ Shadrack died in 1817. He was not listed in the 1820 census..² He had a wife Esther in 1817 and it was the last record found for him.⁵
