Elizabeth Speakman dies before the division then her part to the other four, and then also 500#t to Thomas Speakman. My wife and son John extrs. Daniel Selby

Daniel was born circa 1640 at Ireland.1 He patented land on 9 November 1666 at Mattapany, Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as Daniel Selby and was granted 600 acres of land for transporting 12 persons into the colony. This 600-acre tract was called The Change, although referred to as Metomkin in his will. In 1671, when a change in the Maryland-Virginia boundary placed the tract in Maryland, the Maryland authorities confirmed the grant, in which Selby is called "Gentleman of Virginia."1 He married Mary Parker, daughter of Phillip Parker and Mary (-----), circa 1674 at Accomack Co, VA.1 Daniel Selby patented land on 19 May 1675 at Bantry, Somerset Co, MD. The 1400-acre tract Bantry was on the seaboard side near Mattapany Creek, 3 miles from Assateague Sound.1 Daniel made a will on 12 December 1694 at Somerset Co, MD. To wife Mary, land. To eldest son Parker: plantation "Upper Plantation," "Brother's Love," "Carriganasick." To son Daniel: "Yorkshire," "Sandy Point," "Kilkenny." To son Phillip: "Cedar Grove," "Bantry," "Carriganasick," "Assucken." To son William: "Mattemkin" (Accomac County), "Dublin." To daughter Mary: "Brick Neck."
