Elizabeth (-----) (Teackle?)
F, b. circa 1725
Elizabeth was born circa 1725. She married Thomas Elliott (farmer), son of (b|o_John) Elliott (England), circa 1745. According to Whitelaw, in 1754 Thomas Elliott, son of Robert, and his wife Elizabeth sold land to Joseph Jefferies. (NOTE: Whitelaw was evidently assuming that Robert Elliott had a son Thomas, as the deeds themselves do not show Thomas as a son of Robert. They only show Thomas with a wife Elizabeth, has she signs over her dower rights when Thomas sells the land. Robert Elliott did not name a son Thomas in his will, but instead named only "Wife Mary Elliott sole legatee & Exec.").1

According to Rev. John W.A. Elliott's Ledger Book, Thomas Elliott named Franktown in honor of his first son that he named Franklin who died young. However, according to Whitelaw in 1764 the will of Ralph Batson (wife Sarah) directed that his land be sold "except on acre called new Town where Frank Andrews lives" and that it is possible that "new Town" soon became "Frank's Town" and finally the Franktown of today. Franklin was born circa 1786 at Northampton Co, VA.

(1w/o_Wm_Andrews) was born circa 1660. She married William (11) Andrews (III), son of Capt. William (2) Andrews (II) and Dorothea (4) Robins, circa 1680. William Andrews first wife was possibly the daughter of Daniel Howard, the predecessor of Marcus Andrews in ownership of 100 acres which Marcus sold in 1720. Although Comfort Haggoman, Wiliam Andrews second wife, had a brother Marcus Haggoman, which might suggest that Marcus Andrews and his brother William Andrews were her children, such a conclusion is precluded by Isaac Andrews', another brother of Marcus and William Andrews, inheritance as heir at law of his niece Elizabeth Andrews, daughter of Nathaniel Andrews, another brother of Marcus and William Andrews..1

He was shown as a brother Thomas Savage in the will of George Savage, sister Sophia..6 Thomas witnessed a will on 29 January 1730 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that Thomas Savage, Esther Savage and Sophia Savage witnessed the will of James Forse, wife Margaret..7 In 1736 in N'hamp Court, John Savage sues Thomas Savage over Savage lands. A special verdict was rendered which found that John Savage the Elder, grandfather of the leasor of the plaintiff made his Will in 1678 (wp 11 Dec 1678 XII: 315). His son and heir has possessed the land in question for 42 years and it has always been looked upon as the property of John, the father of the leasor of the Plaintiff. The last paragraph states that the Plaintiff took the land with a view to setting it upon a bastard child supposed to be got by the Plaintiff’s leasor on the body of a sister of the Dft. The leasor of the Plaintiff never executed a deed for the land and no agreement was ever committed to writing by the Dft nor the leasor of the Plf. (NOTE: Perhaps it was this court case that resulted in the defendant, Thomas Savage, leaving the bastard child, John Savage, son of his sister Sophia Costen, 100 acres in his will of 30 May 1736.).8 He made a will on 30 May 1736 at Northampton Co, VA. To John Savage (under lawful age) son of Sophia Costin 100 A. bounded westerly upon Senior's land, north upon Stringer's land, southerly upon John Savage, and the main neck road up to a branch that parts me and the land of Senior's creekside plantation. To my wife Esther ns. Left, Tom, Peter, Trout, Hanniball and Gundy. To Savage Bloxom. Remaining estate to be div. by wife and children when my dau. Sarah comes to age. I wish my children to live with their mother until they are of lawful age. My son Thomas to have 4 years schooling here and 4 years in Philadelphia. Wife extrx. Witt: Hillary Stringer, Henry Harmanson, Rose Harmanson. Codicil 27 Feb. 1736 Wife to have the profits of my estate until my son Thomas comes to age. Witt: Hillary Stringer, Margaret Ellegood, Nathan Wright..9,4 Thomas died before 12 March 1737 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was probated. The testr. is further identified as Thomas Savage, Gent. The extrx. made her solemn affirmation as to the will's validity.
