     Obadiah was born on 13 December 1778.1 He married Mary Becket circa 1800.1 Jacob Jennings (1711-1787) served in the American Revolution and is buried in Bound Brook, NJ. His son, also Jacob, studied medicine and was wounded at the Battle of Trenton during the American Revloution. After the war he was ordained in the Dutch Reformed Church and moved to Virginia where he continued to practice medicine and minister to two congregations. His son Obadiah was a lawyer and a Presbyterian minister, living at different times in Washington, Pennsylvania, Steubenville, Ohio, and Nashville, TN.1 He married Ann Wilson, daughter of Dr. James Wilson, circa 1805. Rev. Obadiah Jennings died on 12 January 1832 at age 53.1
