It was on this date that Levi Dix &c, plantiffs, filed suit against Elizabeth S. Melson, administratix of James Melson Jr. dec'd, with James H. Melson, John D. Melson, Parker Grinnalds & Elizabeth his wife, Sally Bell, Noah Melson, Mary Melson, Lewis Melson, Ann Melson & Theresa defendants.3 She was listed with her daughter in the census of 1850 at St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.4 Sarah was listed with her son-in-law in the census of 1870 at Atlantic District, Acc Co, VA. She was shown as Sarah Bell, age 62 and retired from service in HH#134 headed by Isaac Stevenson, a 53 year old carpenter. Stevenson reported the death of his mother-in-law Sallie P. Bell, who died of dysentery at the age of 72 years..7 He died on 19 December 1890 at age 73. A notice of his death was in the Peninsula Enterprise on 3 Jan 1891. His Accomack County death record shows him as Isaac K. Stevenson, who died 21 Dec 1890 in St. George Parish of kidney disease at the age of 73 years. He was the son of Eliz. Somers, born in Acc Co, a widowed mechanic. His son K.J.
