Boggs he devised 50 acres purchased of Nathaniel Burwell and others, and all his other estate to be divided as follows: to your oratrix, his widow, 1/9, to his son Joseph 1/50, to his son John 1/20, and the balance equally between his children Mary Ann, Susanna, Leah, Thomas, Eliza, Margaret and Sally Boggs, and the said Francis Boggs departed this life on the ____ day of Sept. 1823, leaving the said will in full force; that your oratrix at the Sept. term of court 1823, renounced all benefit under the said will and claimed the provisions allowed her by law &c.4 Thomas witnessed a will on 27 June 1839 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Joseph P. Boggs, Thomas D. Boggs & John R. Boggs witnessed the will of Kendall Ames, half-brother Elijah Boggs Extr.5 He owned land circa 1840 at tract A59, south side at mouth of Onancock Creek, Accomack Co, VA.
