Also listed with him was Joshua Bunting, a 45 year old black laborer..4 Henry was named as an heir on 24 February 1851 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Henry Hall was named a grandson of Sophia Drummond, a sister of James Drummond, who died in the Rev. War..1 Henry was listed as a head of household in the census of in 1860 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. Godwin, age 23 and a waterman and Julius D. Godwin, age 21..5 Henry was listed as a head of household in the census of in 1870 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Henry Hall, the head of HH#AT561, a 59 year old farmer with real estate valued at $15,000 and personal property valued at $15,000. Liste with him were Catharine Hall, age 23 and keeping house; Henry Hall, age 21 and a retail merchant; and Jame Hall, age 27 and a retail merchant..6 He married Mary C. Broadwater, daughter of Savage Broadwater and Nancy Broadwater, on 27 February 1873 at Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Henry Harll, a 58 year old widowed farmer, the son of Henry & Sally Hall and she was shown as Mary C. Brodwater, age 52 and single, the daughter of Savage & Nancy Brodwater. He died at the age of 78 years of heart problems. He was a merchant, the husband of Mary Hall. His son James A. Hall gave the information. Capt. Henry Hall, age 85, one of the oldest and wealthiest, died suddenly of heart disease at his home on Messongo last Sunday and was buried Tuesday (Pen. Ent., 12 Apr 1890). According to Mrs. Turman's book, The Eastern Shore of Virginia, 1603-1964, pp193-4, when the Eastern Shore was divided into Magisterial Districts in 1870, Henry Hall's store along with New Church and Temperanceville were designated as the places for opening polls in Atlantic District..2,8 His body was interred at Ridgefield Cem, Messongo, Acc Co, VA.2 Henry's will was probated on 11 April 1890 at Accomack Co, VA. There was a $25,000 bond with Wm. B. Smith, Thomas S. Copes and L. Floyd Nock the securities..9
