James Lewis of Hunting Creek died at his home last Sunday, 29 Sep 1905, aged about 70 years. He was survived by a widow and 14 children, among them Mr. J.T. Lewis. Rev.      Lorenzo was born in 1859 at Accomack Co, VA.² He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1860 at Wiseville PO, St.George Parish, Acc Co, VA.³ He married Julia J.      Marguerite was born in 1896.¹ She married Mark C. Lewis, son of Luther J. Lewis and Rebecca A. Lewis, circa 1916. She married an unknown person circa 1925.¹ Her body was interred at Liberty Cem, Parksley, Acc Co, VA.¹

     Mary was born on 8 October 1858 at Accomack Co, VA. Her tombstone shows 7 Oct 1858 and the family Bible shows 8 Oct 1858..^1,2 She was listed as a resident in the census report in 1860 at St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA.³ She married Samuel Absalom 'S.A.' Lewis, son of Samuel Absalom Lewis and Elizabeth M. 'Elise' Lewis, on 8 September 1879 at MD-VA Line, Wor Co, MD.⁴ Mary died on 26 March 1898 at age 39. Her obituary showed her as Mary E. Lewis, aged 39, the wife of Capt. S. A. Lewis and the daughter of Capt. Thomas S. Parks (PE 2 Apr 1898). On her tombstone she was shown as Mary E. Lewis, the wife of Capt. S.A. Lewis and the daughter of Capt. T.S. & Sarah Parks, who died 26 Mar 189_. However, Capt. S.A. Lewis obituary in 1915 states that he was survived by a wife, so he evidently married again after Mary died in 1898..¹ Her body was interred at Edgehill Cem, Accomac, Acc Co, VA.²
