     He was one of the five sons of Henry Wright and Rachel Pettit Wright. His father died in 1793, leaving him, by survey, 20 acres of land Henry's grandmother, Mary Wright had bought in 1693. Thomas was to receive 5 additional acres at the death of his uncle William, land that Henry had leased to William in 1784 for William's "natural life". As has been shown, Thomas Wright bought the shares of his brothers and two sisters between 1800 and 1831. The share he bought from sister Hessey in 1800, he and wife Rebecca sold to brother Edmund Wright on 15 April 1803 (DC Deeds 1800 - 1806, p. 260), the same day he purchased Edmund's share. On 16 February 1804, Edmund Wright "(son of Henry)" sold Hessey's 23 acres to Kendall Colony (p. 309). Thomas Wright bought 8 acres from Kendall and Tabitha Colony on 18 January 1808 (Deeds 1801 - 1810 p.41) . On 31 December 1836, Thomas Wright, Senr bought 26 acres from Colmer C. Hinman and wife Lovey H. for $400, land near Metompkin, bordered "northwest by lands of aforesaid Thomas Wright, Senr" (Deeds 1835 - 1837, p. 526). On 13 January 1835, George P.
