Evidently Isaac Marshall, like his brother Stephen and father Thomas, also owned land on Saxis Island, for on 13 Oct 1800, Nathan Linton, Sr. bought land on Saxis Island from Isaac Marshall's heirs: William Marshall and wife Janie, (Isaac) Thomas Marshall, Mary Marshall Bell and William Broughton (husband of Isaac's daughter Martha) all of Som Co, for 127 pounds (Acc Deeds 1800-1804, p. 36). The land was bordered by Pocomoke Sound, West by Benjamin Marshall and South by Thomas Fletcher and the free school marsh. Evidently (Isaac) Thomas Marshall failed to sign the above deed, for on 6 May 1820, Thomas Marshall of Som Co sold to Nathan Linton, for $60, land on "Sikeses" Island, any part he hath a rite to on the aforesaid island (Acc Deeds 1822-1824, p. 228). Torrence's "Old Somerset" p. 177 states that Isaac signed a contract to build Rehobeth Church on 7 Mar 1785 about a year before his death. In Stephen Marshall's account of Isaac's estate on 25 Oct 1791 (Som Accts Liber EB#16, pp. 494 & 641) reference is made to money due both Abraham and Benjamin Marshall of Acc Co. On 13 Oct 1800 Nathan Linton Senior from William Broughten, Mary Marshall, Jan Marshall, William Marshall and Thomas Marshall of Somerset Co: 127#'s for land on Saxis Island bounded southerly by Benjamin Marshall, by Thomas Fletcher, the freeschool marsh, to a tree at the north end of Saxis Island on Pokomoke Sound. Witt: William Downing, Thomas Fletcher, David Watts. Deed signed by: William Broughten, Mary Bell, Jane Marshall, William Marshall; the proof states that deed is from William Marshall and Jane, his wife. Liber 1800-1804, p. 36. The 1795 processioning of District 11, Accomack, shows Nathan Linton next to households of a Benjamin & Samuel Marshall. Isaac was born circa 1743 at Marumsco, Som Co, MD.3 He married Sarah Tilghman, daughter of Gideon Tilghman Jr., on 17 February 1768 at Coventry Parish, Som Co, MD.4 Isaac was named in his father's will on 24 April 1786 at Somerset Co, MD. It was on this date that Thomas Marshall named a grand-daughter Martha Marshall, daughter of Isaac..5 Isaac died in 1786 at Somerset Co, MD.3

Sarah Tilghman was the sister of Aaron Tilghman, who died testate in 1779 in Somerset Co. When Aaron wrote his 1775 will, he was the owner of land in Dobbs County, N.C. In Sarah's estate account (Som Accts Liber EB#24, p. 34, 2 Sep 1794), reference is made to money paid to Robert (Risdon?) Marshall. According to "The Tilghman Family" by Stephen Frederick Tilghman (1946), p. 256, Isaac's family settled in Dobbs County, NC in about 1774, but perhaps a different Isaac made the move. An Aaron Tillman and a George Marshall are listed sequentially in a list of North Carolina militia (Colonial Soldiers of the South by M.J. Clark, p. 641). Aaron Tillman, Michael Tillman and George Marshall were owners of adjoining land in Dobbs by 1767 (N.C. Patent Book No. 23, p. 72). Sarah's will mentioned two sons, William and Thomas Marshall and two daughters, Mary and Jean Marshall. She named her friend, Stephen Marshall, her executor. Sarah was born circa 1741 at Somerset Co, MD. She married Isaac (200) Marshall, son of Thomas (79) Marshall and Jane Mitchell, on 17 February 1768 at Coventry Parish, Som Co, MD.2 She made a will on 28 March 1791 at Somerset Co, MD. Sarah Marshall named sons Thomas & William, daughters Mary & Jane, friend Stephen Marshall, exor; wit: Nancy Wood, Sarah Adams, Elijah Beauchamp..3,4 Sarah died before 24 May 1791 at Somerset Co, MD. It was on this date that her will was probated..3

On 20 Apr 1774, Thomas Marshall of Som. Co, conveyed to Stephen Marshall (his son) of Acc Co, for love and affection and 5 shilllings 4 tracts where Thomas now lives in Somerset: Marshall's Inheritance, Priveledge, Turkey Trap, and Mitchell's Lot - 481 acres. Stephen is Thomas's son. (Som Liber F-O-27, p. 160). On 11 Sep 1775, Thomas Marshall and son Stephen of Saxes Island interrupted surveyors of the line between Daniel Hall and Thomas Marshall on Saxes Island (Acc Vestry Orders Records 1723-1784, p. 191). Again in 1776 Stephen Marhsall stopped Acc Co processioners from establishing the boundary line between his father Thomas Marshall and Daniel Hall (Acc Orders 1774-1777, p. 427). No record has been found in Acc Co of Stephen's father Thomas Marshall of Som Co buying land in Acc Co, nor has a record been found of his son Stephen transferring his Saxis Island land to his brother Isaac Marshall. On 20 Mar 1787 "Steven" Marshall sold William Lankford "Marshall's Inheritance" (Somerset Deeds Liber H, p. 225). On 2 Aug 1794 Stephen Marshall and Rachel his wife sold to Thomas Miles land granted by patent to Thomas Marshall called Turkey Trap, Priveledge, Long's Chance, and Marshall's Inheritance (Som Deeds Liber K, p. 10). Evidently this Stephen Marshall and his father Thomas both owned land on Saxis Island and Stephen lived there for some time. However, since Stephen's descendants are not found in Acc Co among the Bayside Marshalls, they must have remained in or returned to Som Co. Stephen was born circa 1743 at Marumsco, Som Co, MD.3 He married Mary (322) Gunby, daughter of James Gunby and Sarah (113) White, on 12 April 1770 at Coventry Parish, Som Co, MD.4 Stephen bought land on 31 March 1772 at Saxis Island, Acc Co, VA. It was on this date that Stephen Marshall of Som Co. bought 60 acres of land on Sikes Island on the mouth of the Pocomoke River from James Wishart and Hannah, his mother, for 105 pounds (Acc Deeds 1770-77, p. 100).. He married Rachel (-----) before 1778.3 Stephen was named in his father's will on 24 April 1786 at Somerset Co, MD. It was on this date that Thomas Marshall named a grandson Thomas Marshall, son of Stephen, in his will..5 Stephen was named as the executor of a will on 28 March 1791 at Somerset Co, MD. It was on this date that Sarah Marshall named friend Stephen Marshall as Extr..6 He made a will on 2 October 1794 at Somerset Co, MD. In his will Stephen Marshall named a wife Rachel, sons John, Thomas & Stephen, daughters Mary Marshall & Sally Lankford, friend William Moore, extr; Witt: Beauchamp Moore, Polly Marshall, William Moore..3 Stephen died before 16 December 1794 at Somerset Co, MD. It was on this date that his will was probate..7
