     Levi was born in 1837 at Accomack Co, VA.³ Levi was named in his grandfather's will on 23 March 1844 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as a grandson Levi J. Northam in the will of Levi Dix, wife Lovey Wright..² Levi was listed with his parents in the census of in 1850 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Levi J. Northam, age 14 in HH#647 headed by James Northam, a 55 year old farmer..⁴ He married Mary Grace Leppengcott Long, daughter of Thomas Long and Mary Elizabeth Lippencott, on 12 January 1859 at Conquest Chapel, Hallwood, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Levi Jacob Northam, a 22 year old merchant, the son of James & Rosa Northam and she was shown as Mary Grace Leppincott Long, age 19, the daughter of Thos & Mary Eliz'th Long. Thomas 'Ling' gave consent for her. They were married by J.F. Chaplain..¹ Levi was listed as a head of household in the census of in 1860 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as the head of HH#1034, aged 24 and a merchant with personal property valued at $1,300. Listed with him were Mary G. Northam, age 21, and Lloyd Northam, age 9/12..⁵ Levi died in 1916.³ His body was interred at Modest Town Baptist Ch Cem, Acc Co, VA.³
