That a certain George Wright late of this county departed this life intestate on the ___ day of ___ 1820, leaving five children, viz: Your orator James Wright, your oratrixes Lovea & Henrietta & Elizabeth Northam, now wife of James Northam, and a certain Sally Wright. That the said George at the time of his death was seized in fee of four tracts of land viz: one tract where he resided containing 160 acres, part of which he purchased of George Middleton, and part was devised to him by his father; another tract containing 38 acres; another tract containing 140 acres, and another tract containing 15 acres; that the said lands descended to the said children as aforesaid &c..5

Levi Dix & John S. Bundick was the security on the M.L.B. of Levi Dix and Lovey Wright, daughter of Geo. & John S. Bundick said she was age 21. This M.L.B. is not in Turman's book..4,5,6 He married Polly (-----) circa 1816.7 He made a will on 23 March 1844 at Accomack Co, VA. To son George J. Dix my plantation on which I now reside adjoining John S. Bundick's heirs & George Warner's heirs & also the land I recently purchased, formerly the property of James Melson dec'd, but if he dies without issue then to my son Asa T. Dix. To my son Asa T. Dix my sea side plantation which formerly belonged to Levin Copes containing about 128 acres, but if he dies without issue then to my son George & my daughter Rosa. To my daughter Rosa G. Northam, formerly Rosa G. Dix, the lands which formerly belonged to my wife Lovey Dix, formerly Lovey Wright & which were her share of her father's estate containing 80 acres & also the lands I purchased of James Wright & also the lands I purchased of Samuel Lewis & also the land I purchased of James Northam, which formerly belonged to Sally Northam, wife of James Northam. I set free from slavery my Negro man Luke on 1 January after my decease. To son George J. Dix my slaves Rious, Leah, Mary & Ephelia. To son Asa T. Dix my slaves Littleton, Patience, Enos, Tamer, Emeline (of Esther) & Gatty. To my daughter Rosa Northam my slave Fanny. To my grandson Levi J. Northam my slave Peter. To my granddaughter Sally Northam my slave Henry. To my grandson George J. Northam my slave Emma of Patience. To my sons George J. & Asa T. Dix & my daughter Rosa G. Northam my Negro woman Esther & in consideration of the faithful services of Esther, I most earnestly request that they permit her to live with her husband undisturbed & without requiring any service from her & that they be kind & indulgent to her. Should either of my grandchildren Levin J., Sally or George J. Northam die under age 21 without issue, then their slaves are to go to the survivors.
