     Robert was born circa 1772 at Accomack Co, VA. He married (-----) (-----) circa 1795.1 Robert Kellam received land as a gift in 1805 at Accomack Co, VA. It was in this year that Argol Kellam gave the 150 aces of the Benjamin Colloney part of tract A22 that he bought from Upshur and Anne Colloney to his son Robert, who was then living there. At the location of A22B is a little house with one brick end. It shows signs of considerable antiquity, but it has no special architectural features to give a clue as to its age. A survey of 1820 showed it as the home of Robert Kellam.2 Robert made a will on 20 February 1811 at Accomack Co, VA. The use of my land & my property to raise & support the whole of my children until my youngest arrives to age 21 & then as follows: To son James Kellam the land where I now live & if he is not living at the time my youngest child reaches age 21, them to son Argil L. Kellam & if Argil dies, then to son William Kellam. To son James Kellam my mahogany desk with him paying my other two sons Argil Lewis & William Kellam $20 each. The balance to Charlotte, Argil Lewis, William & Sarah Kellam or to the surviving ones of the four & my daughters Charlotte & Sarah Kellam to have a home in the dwelling house where I now live so long as they live single. My brother James Kellam Extr. Witt: Mitchell S. West, John W. Kellam & John Sturgis Sr. Prob: Hutchinson Kellam & John W. Kellam securities.1 Robert was named in his father's will on 15 February 1817 at Accomack Co, VA.
