No local record has been found of her marriage to William T. Wright in Acc Co, VA, Worc Co, MD, or Som Co, MD. Mrs. Annie J. Wright, a member of the Zion Baptist Church, died at her home at Bethesda, MD, on 30 May 1950, aged 87 years. Survivors were listed (Pen. Ent., 2 Jun 1950). Annie was born in 1863 at Accomack Co, VA.2 She married William Thomas Wright II, son of William Thomas Wright I and Mary S. Carey, circa 1886. While no marriage record has been found, it is known from other records that William Thomas Wright, II, married Annie Jackson Bundick circa 1886 (see Bundicks of Accomack County, Virginia). She was a daughter of John A. Bundick by his second wife, Annie W. Hickman, and a sister to John A. Bundick, Jr., who married sister, Willianna C. Wright, in 1895.. On 11 December 1908, Annie J. Wright, for $3600, bought 46 acres near Pastoria, called the "Core Land", from John S. Parsons, Special Commissioner (Deeds 91, p. 457). This was land that had belonged to her sister, Grace L. Bundick. The tract was sold by Annie J. Wright's surviving daughter and daughter-in-law, both widows, on 3 February 1959, to A. Garland Evans, for $6500 (Deeds 231, p. 80). It is located on U.S. 13 at Pastoria, in Lee District, approximately one-half mile south of Garland Evans's home, across the highway from Bay Country Homes. Apparently this was the home of William Thomas Wright, II, and his family in 1900. Annie was living on 24 November 1914 at Accomack Co, VA.1 Annie died on 30 May 1950 at Bethesda, MD. After her husband's death in 1942 Annie J. Wright apparently lived on her land near Pastoria until after the death of her elder daughter in 1945. She died at her home in Bethesda, Maryland, on 30 May 1950, aged 87 years, and was buried beside her husband in Parksley Cemetery (Obituary in Pen. Ent., June 2, 1950 issue). Her tombstone gives her birth in 1863 and death in 1950 (Graven Stones, p. 286). She, too, did not leave a will. She was survived by two children, Mrs. Annie W. Eggers and Dr. W. T. Wright and by two married granddaughters and a grandson, Jack Wright..3 Her body was interred at Parksley Cem, Acc Co, VA.2

Like his father, he was sometimes referred to as Thomas Wright in local records. He was the only living son of William Thomas Wright and his wife, Mary S. Carey Wright. His father died intestate in 1876, when he was 15 years of age, and he lost his mother in 1898. William was born in 1861 at Accomack Co, VA.2 William was listed with his parents in the census of in 1870 at Metompkin District, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Thomas Wright, age 10 and at school in HH#MT182 headed by Thomas Wright, a 47 year old farmer..3 William Thomas Wright, II, was one of the heirs of his uncle Samuel Wright and received one-third of his father's share of Samuel's estate in 1879. He also inherited one-third of his father's land and personal property in 1876. John W. Gillet was his guardian, to protect his inheritances, until he became 21 in 1882. On 7 October 1884, William T. Wright, for $1200, bought his sister Margaret S. Wright's one-third of their father's land (Deeds 51, p. 649). On 1 February 1892, he bought the other third from sister Willianna Wright, for $1100 (Deeds 64, p. 366). Both deeds stipulated that the land was "subject to the dower of Mary S. Wright", their mother, and the last deed called the entire tract 160 acres. William T. Wright exchanged 4 or 5 acres with Patrick; J. Rew on 21 January 1886 (Deeds 58, p. 125). This was likely an agreement whereby the lines of both farms were straightened, as Patrick J. Rew (1846 - 1923) is buried on the adjacent farm, north of the Wright land. He was a first cousin, a son of Mary Ann Wright Rew and her husband, James H. Raw (1860 census). William Thomas Wright, II, owned his father's farm of 160 acres by 1892. The back or western part of the land consisted of approximately 85 acres that was part of 200 acres his ancestor Mary Wright bought in 1693. This farm is located at Rew, on US. 13, directly across the highway from the Owl Restaurant. It is owned today by Joanne Wright Widmayer, granddaughter of William Thomas Wright, II (Deeds 271, p. 119). He married Annie Jackson Bundick, daughter of John A. Bundick and Annie W. Hickman, circa 1886. William was listed as a head of household in the census of in 1900 at Lee District, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as William Wright as a 38-year-old farmer, living in Lee District. His wife was Annie J. Wright, 33, and there were three children in their household: Helen L. Wright at 12 years, Annie M. Wright at 9 years and William T. Wright, Jr. at 8 years. They had had three children, all of whom were living. This record also states that they had been married 14 years.. William was listed as a head of household in the census of in 1910 at Metompkin District, Acc Co, VA. They had moved to the home farm by 1910, however, when they were living on "Middle Road" in Metompkin District. William T. Wright was then 48 years of age and a Commissioner of the Revenue for Accomack County. Wife Annie J. Wright was 45 and their three children were 21, 19, and 18, respectively.. William was listed as a head of household in the census of in 1920 at Metompkin District, Acc Co, VA. W. T. Wright, 53 (59?), was again head of a Metompkin District household in 1920, when his occupation was "Oyster Inspector". Living with him and his wife was daughter, Helen L. Wright, at 30 years.. His body was interred at Parksley Cem, Acc Co, VA.2 William died on 3 December 1942 at Rew, VA. Mr. William Thomas Wright," former county official and a highly esteemed citizen, passed away at his home near Rew, Virginia, Thursday, December 3 after a short illness", according to his obituary in the December 11, 1942 issue of the Peninsula Enterprise Besides having been Commissioner of the Revenue, he had also been an Oyster Inspector and race secretary of the Peninsula Fair Association. He was a lifelong Democrat and an election official. He was an original subscriber to the Peninsula Enterprise, from its inception on 30 June 1881. He was survived by three children, Mrs. Helen Rew, Mrs. William R. Eggers, and Commander William T. Wright, Jr., and by two grandchildren, Miss Jo Anne L. Wright and Mr. John B. Wright of the U.S. Coast Guard. He did not leave a will. His widow, Annie J. Wright, apparently lived on her land near Pastoria until after the death of her elder daughter in 1945..2

John A. Bundick, Attorney, died between 2 Apr 1902, when some of the land his father had owned was sold to him and two of his sisters (Acc Co Deeds, Bk 78, p. 173) and 31 Oct 1903, when part of his father's land, "the Store House Lot consisting of two detached parcels divided by the county road," was deeded to sister Grace L. Bundick (Acc Co Deeds, Bk 80, p. 319). This last deed states the lot was part of the real estate sold by a special commissioner on 17 Dec 1898 at Newstown, "which was bid off to John A. Bundick, now deceased, but was paid for by said Grace L. Bundick as she claims." Other records have been searched for a death date for John A. Bundick without success. His tombstone has not been found. He was likely buried with his parents without a tombstone. Family records show he graduated from Richmond College, Richmond, Virginia, in 1886, before studying law. On 2 Oct 1889, John A. Bundick, "gentleman, who hath been duly licensed to practice the law in the Courts of this Commonwealth, on his motion, has leave to practice in this Court and thereupon he took the oath of fidelity to the Commonwealth, and the oath of an Attorney at Law" (Acc Co Orders, 1889-1890, p. 305). Since John A. Bundick had no brothers or children, this entire Bundick line ended with has death. He had at least one male Bundick first cousin. John was born in 1866 at Accomack Co, VA.1 He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1870 at Accomack Co, VA.1 He married Willianna C. 'Willie' Wright, daughter of William Thomas Wright I and Mary S. Carey, on 30 October 1895 at Accomack Court House, St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as John A. Bundick, a 29 year old attorney-at-law, the son of John A. & Annie W. Bundick and she was shown as Willie C. Wright, age 26, the daughter of Wm. T. & Mary C. Wright. They were married by H.L. Richard was born circa 1620. He married Dorothy (-----) circa 1640 at Northampton Co, VA.1 The name of Richard Bundick first appears in Eastern Shore of Virginia records on 30 Aug 1647, as his name was given with eight other headrights when John Foster patented 450 acres of land in Northampton County (N'hamp Co Deeds, Wills 1645-1651, p. 110). The land was located on the sea side, between Nassawadox and Machipongo (Whitelaw, p. 365 and map). A colonist was eligible for 50 acres of land for each person for whom he had paid transportation costs from England. These persons were called headrights, and had agreed to work for their sponsor for several years, as indentured servants, to pay back their cost of transportation. However, Richard Bundick likely paid for his own passage and assigned his right to 50 acres to John Foster. Richard Bundick made a deposition in Northampton County Court on 21 Jun 1662, in which he gave his age as 41 years "or thereabout" (N'hamp Co Order Book, 1657-1664, p. 97). This indicates he was born circa 1620 and was 27 years of age when he came to the Colony of Virginia. Richard Bundick was granted a patent to 650 acres of land on the south side of Pungoteague Creek on 21 Nov 1654 (Nugent I, p. 296), a patent that was renewed on 20 Oct 1661 (Nugent I, p. 412). He sold this 650 acres on Pungoteague Creek to Francis Moryson on 6 Sept 1672 (N'hamp Co Deeds, 1668-1680, p. 36). On 23 May 1663, Richard Bundick, planter, and wife Dorothy deeded 500 acres on the south side of Pungoteague Creek to Richard Jacob, deceased, saying this land had been purchased from Nicholas Waddelaw (Wallop) and that they had "received full and valuable satisfaction for ye afsd 500 acres" before Jacob died (Acc Co Deeds & Wills, 1663-1666, pp. 9/10). Witnesses to the deed were Evitt Jones and Thomas ffawkes. Richard Jacob's will, written 13 Jan 1663, recorded 2 Mar 1663, apparently left this land to a son Issac and spoke, in his will, of 350 acres he was leaving son Thomas "at Pungoteague on the western part of a main branch of said Creek whereon Richard Bundick presently lives" (N'hamp Co Deeds, Will, etc. 1657-1666, p. 140). On 12 Jul 1664, Richard Bundick was granted a patent for 1,400 acres in Accomack County, "at seaboard side beginning at land of Col Edmund Scarburgh, bounded south by Long tone (Long Love) Branch" (Nugent I, p. 524). One of his headrights was a William Wright. On 9 Oct 1672, Richard Bundick patented 600 additional acres "Being the surplus within bounds of his 1,400 acres at Arcadia" (Nugent II, p. 119). This block of about 2,000 acres is presently called Parkers Neck. It is bound south and west by Parkers Creek, the northern branch of which, called Long Love Branch or Poorhouse Branch, crosses U.S. 13 just south of Zion Church. The creek to the north was originally Arcadia Creek and on present-day maps is labeled Bundicks Creek. On 18 Dec 1666, Richard Bundick and Ruth, his wife, sold to Thomas ffowkes 700 acres "of Land being the one half of a patent of ffourteen hundred acres granted to me at James City under the hand of ye Honble William Berkeley and sealed wth ye seale of ye Colony the 12 July 1664" (Acc Co Deeds & Wills, 1663-1666. pp. 39/40). The consideration was "8,000 pounds of tobacco & Cast, the value thereof in hand." On 14 Feb 1667, Richard Bundick and wife Ruth gave his daughter, Elizabeth Sturgis, 200 acres "next unto ye lands sold to Mr. Thomas ffowkes" (Acc Co Deeds & Wills, 1663-1666, p. 63). On 16 Dec 1673, Richard Bundick and Ruth sold 550 acres to John Drummond, stating this was all that could be found of his 9 Oct 1672 patent (Acc Co Wills &c., 1673-1676, p. 104). On 16 Nov 1677 Richard Bundick and wife Ruth gave his son Richard 200 acres "next to my son in Law John Sturgis - part of a 1,400 acre Patent" (Acc Co Wills & Deeds, 1676-1690, p. 69). On 18 Nov 1680, Richard Bundick and wife Ruth sold to John Barns 300 acres for "tenn thousand ffour hundred pounds of good merchantable tobacco and cask - near Creek called by the name of Arcadia" (Acc Co Deeds & Wills, 1663-1666, p. 236). Richard Bundick lived to be an old man for the times. He would have been about 72 when he wrote his will on 9 Dec 1692. It was recorded on 28 Feb 1693. He owned no land at this tine and was apparently living in Northampton County. He called himself "Planter" and he named five children (Richard, Elizabeth, Ann, Dorothy and Grace), each of whom was to receive 100 pounds of tobacco. His remaining estate, after debts were paid, was left to his wife Elizabeth and she was made executrix (N'hamp Co Orders & Wills, 1689-1698, p. 224). A complete transcription of the will of Richard Bundick (I) follows - In the name of God Amen, I, Rich'd Bundick Senr of the county of Northampton in Virginia, Planter, Being very sick and weak of body but thanks be to God of sound & perfect memory & being sensible of the uncertainty of life, doe make this my last & testament in manor & form following: I doe give and bequeath my body to ___ original mother the earth desiring a christian burial at the discretion of my executrix hereafter named. Dorothy was born circa 1620. She married Richard Bundick (I) circa 1640 at Northampton Co, VA.1 As of circa 1640,her married name was Bundick.1 On 28 Oct 1648, Richard Bundick and Dorothy Bundick, his wife, signed a bond with their marks agreeing to pay John Foster for the use of a servant (N'hamp Co Deeds, Wills, 1645-1651, p. 163). No record has been found of Dorothy Bundick's maiden name. It appears likely she was a widow and owned property when she married Richard Bundick. Dorothy (-----) died between 1663 and 1665. Dorothy Bundick died between 23 May 1663, when she cosigned a deed with her husband (Acc Co Deeds & Wills, 1663-1666, p. 10), and 16 Nov 1665, when Ruth was "ye wife of Richard Bundick" (Acc Co Deeds & Wills, 1663-1666, p. 103).

Ruth was born circa 1630. Acc Co records speak of them at times as Bundicks (Acc Co Wills &c., 1673-1676, p. 242). They apparently left no local heirs, as they were living in Sussex Co, Pennsylvania (now Delaware) in 1685, when they sold land in Acc Co (Acc Co Deeds, 1676-1690, p. 408). Ruth Bundick was still living in 1680, when she cosigned a last deed with her husband (Acc Co Deeds, 1676-1690, p. 236), but apparently died soon thereafter. In his will of 4 Nov 1674 George Watson left 300 acres at Long Love Branch to Jon. & Thomas Bundick, sons of Ralph & Ruth Bundick.2 Ruth died circa 1680.

Elizabeth (-----)
F, b. circa 1640
Elizabeth was named as the wife of Richard Bundick (I) in his will of 1692. She would have been his third wife. Richard Bundick (I)'s widow lived at least until 28 Oct 1698, when she made a gift of her entire estate to Mary Nottingham (N'hamp Co Deeds & Wills, 1692-1707, p. 215). Mary Nottingham, wife of Richard Nottingham Jr., "is said to have been born a Bundick" (Whitelaw, p. 329). Since she was not named by Richard Bundick in his will, it appears more likely that Mary was a daughter of Elizabeth Bundick by a former marriage.
Elizabeth was born circa 1640. She married Richard Bundick (I) circa 1685.1

Richard was born circa 1656 at Northampton Co, VA.1 Richard Bundick (II)'s birth year is based on his being 21 years old when his father deeded him land in Parkers Neck in 1677. On 15 Oct 1691, Richard Bundick deeded John Barns the 300 acres his father had sold Barns in 1680, relinquishing any title he might have in the land (Acc Co Wills & C Orders, 1682-1697, p. 212). On 23 Jan 1689, Richard Bundick bought 200 acres "near the Seaboard" from Daniel Jenifer for 5600 pounds of good tobacco and cask, land to the north of "the Tann house branch" (Acc Co Wills & Deeds, 1676-1590, p. 491). On 10 Dec 1693, Richard Bundick bought another 74 acres from Daniel Jenifer, called Gargapha Savannah, for 2400 pounds of tobacco (Acc Co Wills &c, 1692-1715, part 1, p. 69). This land was near the last purchase. Richard Bundick purchased 299 acres near "Gilford Creek" for 5000 pounds of Tobacco and Casqe" from Edward Nixson, "Tanner" on 18 Jan 1701 (Acc Co Wills &c, 1692-1715, part 1, p. 394). He then owned 773 acres. The Quit Rents of Virginia in 1704 shows Richard Bundick of Acc Co, the only Bundick listed, as being taxed for 773 acres in that year (p. 14). Richard Bundick (II) sold no land. He did give away two 100-acre tracts in May of 1728, one "near Guilford Branch," to daughter Susanna Onions and her husband John Onions (Acc Co Deeds, Wills &c., 1715-1729, part 2, p. 206) and 100 acres near Gargatha to son Richard Bundick Junr (same page). Richard Bundick (II) made his will on 23 May 1731 and it was recorded on 6 July of the same year. He left son George Bundick his home plantation of 200 acres and made him his executor.
