William was born circa 1680 at Accomack Co, VA.1 He married Sarah Ebourne, daughter of William Ebourne and Rebecca Frame, before 7 April 1696 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that William Twyford sued William Parker and declared that the estate of John Spires dec'd owed Twyford 370 lbs tobacco. Since Parker had married Sarah, executrix of Spires, Twyford wanted the debt to be paid out of the estate. Because Parker could not be found, attachment for the debt and court costs was granted against Spire's estate in the hands of Parker..2,3 William was named in his father's will on 13 August 1696 at Matompkin, Acc Co, VA. It may have been him who was shown as son William Parker (under 18) in the will of William Parker, of Matompkin, wife Elizabeth. He was given the balance of land at St. Martins in Someset Co, MD and one moiety of my land at Matompkin until my wife's death and then to enjoy the whole 373 acres. (NOTE: Since there is a conflict between being an under son in the 1696 will of Wm Parker of Matompkin and being named as the husband of the widow Sarah Spiers in the same year, he may not be the son of Wm. Parker of Matompkin who died in 1696. However, when he wrote his will in 1721 it was witnessed by William Burton who then lived on the Sea Side in this general area.).1 He bought land in 1703 at Acc Co, VA. It was in this year that William Parker bought 200 acres of Whitelaw's tract A64 from Tabitha Hill, it being the southwest corner of her land. In 1721 Parker left to his grandson (actually his step-grandson) William James. In 1757 James gave 100 acres to his son Thomas. In 1764 William and Amey James sold 50 acres to James Twiford, to become merged with some adjacent land of his. In 1765 William James (wife Amey) left his home plantation of 109 acres to his son Thomas, who (wife Sarah) died intestate in 1783.4 On 6 Jan 1712/13 Col. William Custis (surveyor of the highways in Delight Sheald's former precinct) went before Col. Tully Robinson (a justice) and complained against John Rodgers, his son William Rodgers, William Parker, William Spires, Delight Sheald, Jona. James, Richard Sheald and James Taylor, all of whom had been summoned to meet Custis at "the Bridge neare Mr. Burton" on 26 September, for the purpose of maintaining the highways according to the law. According to Custis, the named men refused. After a full hearing, the court determined that the men had not refused to obey the court order; the men were discharged and Custis had to pay court costs.5 William was named in a will on 14 October 1715 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as friend William Parker in the will of William James, wife Sarah. He and Thomas James were to see to the proper care of my children's estate during their minority. William James named sons David and William in his will.6 He made a will on 20 February 1721 at Accomack Co, VA. To grandson-in-law (meaning step-grandson) William James plantation where I now live containing 200 acres. To Rachel James. To David James. To daughter-in-law (meaning step-daughter) Sarah Booles. To William Spiers. To Jackcoby Spiers. To Luke Spiers. To Sarah Spiers. Daughter-in-law (meaning step-daughter) Sarah Boles residual legatee & Exec. Witt: Jacob Sare, Richard Sheald, William Burton. (NOTE: This William Parker had married the widow Sarah Spiers, who had a daughter Mary who married Jonathan James of Accomack and she had another daughter Sarah who married William James of N'hamp. Evidently both of these daughters had sons named William James. The assumption is that the land went to the William James of N'hamp as his father William in his will of 1715 named a friend William Parker to see to the proper care of my children's estate during their minority. This William Parker also named David James in his will another son of his friend William James of N'hamp.).3 William died before 2 April 1721 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was probated..3

He was shown as son Joshua James (under 18) in the will of Jonathan James, wife Mary. He and his brother William James were given 150 acres in Somerset County at a place called Back Creek.1 He bought land on 3 March 1746 at Deep Creek, Acc Co, VA. Joshua James of Accomack County bought from Capt. Edmund Custis of Northampton County for 100 pounds current money of Virginia a parcel of land near Deep Creek Mill in Accomack County containing 200 acres bounded southerly by John Snead or Thos Webb, westerly by the Mill Branch down to the Mill, northerly by the County Road from the said Mill running on a straight line into the woods from where the path begins to turn & easterly by a direct line cross the said land keeping the same ____ that ___ us at bottom to include the said 200 acres. It was on this date that Joshua James bought 200 acres of tract A82 described as near Deep Creek Mill from Edmund Custis of N'hamp (N30). In 1750 the will of James directed that the land be sold and the next year his wife Rachel sold to Littleton Eyre. On 26 May 1747 Edmund Custis's deed to Joshua James was proved by the oaths of John West, Anthony West and Major Rowles.3,4 He served on a jury on 24 November 1747 at Accomack Co, VA. It was a grand jury headed by Samuel Burton. On 29 Mar 1748 he was on a regular jury. On 29 Nov 1748 he was again on a jury.5 He married Rachael Revell, daughter of Capt. Edward Revell and Rebecca Coleburn, circa 1749.6 Joshua made a will on 23 January 1749/50 at Accomack Co, VA. 200 acres bought of Edmund Custis lying on the North side of Deep Creek to be sold, & after payment of debts I give the remainder to my wife Rachel James. My 56 acres in Worcester County, Maryland, on Fenix Island, I give in the manner aforesaid.      Jacob was born circa 1680 at Northampton Co, VA. He married Matilda [38] Scarburgh, daughter of Col. Edmund [11] Scarburgh (III) and Elizabeth Mitchell, circa 1705.1,2 He made a will on 26 September 1732 at Northampton Co, VA. To my loving wife Matildah the plantation whereon I now dwell during her life, and then to my dau. Tabitha Parker during her life, and then to my grandson Jacob Dewey Parker. To my wife the use of my remaining estate during her widowhood, and then to my dau. Beautifila Johnson my slave Sirus and silver tankard after her said mother's death. To dau. Tabitha Parker slave Jack and ,5. To grandson Jacob Dewey Parker my slave Sampson. Wife extrx. Witt: Edmund Scarburgh, Andrew Allen, Jeremiah Jacob Dewey Thorp, Alexander Mackallan..3,4 Jacob died on 14 May 1734 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was probated. The widow refused to act. Kelly Johnson with his wife Beautifilay and Phillip Parker with his wife Tabitha qualified. According to Whitelaw Jacob Dewey left the Dewey Part of Whitelaw's tract N120 (west of Exmore) to his wife Matilda, and then to a daughter Tabitha, the wife of Phillip Parker; after her death it was to go to her son Jacob, but if he died without issue then to other heirs of Tabitha. After the death of Phillip Parker (1741), Tabitha married Richard Johnson and in 1750 the Johnsons had the entail docked and the land sold by General Court deed to Benjamin D. Gray, who gave a local deed back to Johnson alone, and the next year Johnson left all his lands to a son Joshua. In 1755 a suit for the land was brought, from which we learn that Jacob D. Parker had died without issue and that Tabitha had married Richard Johnson. However, she had had another Parker son named Caleb and after his death his son Thomas Hall Parker now claimed the land under the will of Jacob Dewey (Whitelaw, pp. 543/4). For more on this see the Whitelaw source..1,4
