Thomas Tyler and John Evans were sureties for a testamentary bond for L150 sterling filed by Job Parks on 8 Feb 1760. John "Evins" (Jr.), Thomas Evans, Sollomon "Evins," and Thomas Tyler, all Smith Island residents, were witnesses to Arthur Parks' will (A Somerset Sampler, p. 207).

To son William Russell the land called Hickory Patch adjoining my lands next to Arthur Barnes & divided from them by a cut called Hickory Patch Gut, containing 10 or 12 acres of high land & 20 acres of marsh. To son Robert Russell the plantation where Isaiah Johnson lives & after his death to my children Littia, Betsey, Sarah & William. The land where Robert Russell Jr. now lives to him, my son Robert & his wife during their joint lives & the life of the survivor & then to my children Littia, Betsey, Sarah & William.
