They were married by C.A. Grice, a Methodist minister. James 'J.' was a 20 year old farmer and Rose was age 20. His middle initial on his tombstone is 'I.'.¹ Rose died on 20 April 1937 at age 69.² Her body was interred at Mt. Holly Cem, Onancock, Acc Co, VA.²

     Fletcher was born on 22 August 1869 at Accomack Co, VA.^2,3 He married Tabitha Belton 'Tibbie' Johnson, daughter of Isaiah Johnson Jr. and Tabitha J. East, on 22 August 1892 at Worcester Co, MD. They were shown as Fletcher M. Lewis, age 22 and Libbie Johnson, age 19. Betty Lewis Annis of Parksley reports that the family Bible shows 22 Aug 1892..⁴ Fletcher died in 1961.² His body was interred at Liberty Cem, Parksley, Acc Co, VA.²
