     Luther G. Briddell was born and raised in the Morumsco Section of Somerset Co, MD. He moved to Sanford after he was married. He was a carpenter and worked on the water. He moved back to Somerset Co about 1924 and worked on John Handy's farm. He died of heart trouble. Luther was born in 1870.¹ He married Laura Frances Bunting, daughter of Levin Thomas Bunting and Sarah Jane Anderton, on 24 January 1894 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA.² Luther died in 1944.¹ His body was interred at Methodist Ch Cm, Rehobeth, Somerset Co, MD.¹

     Gertrude was born on 25 October 1900 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA. Gertrude died on 24 March 1916 at age 15.

     Una was born on 14 March 1913 at Sanford, Acc Co, VA. Una died on 29 August 1916 at age 3.

     Joshua was born in 1843 at Somerset Co, MD.¹ He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1850 at Dublin Dist, Somerset Co, MD.¹ He married Anne Elizabeth Howard, daughter of George Howard and Nancy Dryden, on 6 May 1868 at Somerset Co, MD. He was age 23 and she was age 22 and widowed. Pollitt shows the license as 12 Feb 1867..^2,3 Joshua died in 1895.⁴

She married John Wesley Johnson on 4 December 1860 at Somerset Co, MD.² She married Joshua Jenkins Briddell Jr., son of Joshua Jenkins Briddell Sr. and Barsheba (-----), on 6 May 1868 at Somerset Co, MD. He was age 23 and she was age 22 and widowed. Pollitt shows the license as 12 Feb 1867..^3,2

     Salley was born on 23 February 1804 at Northumberland Co, VA.^2,1 Salley was mentioned in a will on 28 January 1833 at St. Stephnes Parish, Northumberland Co, VA. It was on this date that James Blincoe gave his land to his two sons John & William, children of Salley Walker, in his will. His sister Hannah Hogans was to keep his two sons and support them from the profits of the land.¹ Salley was listed with her brother in the census of 6 July 1860 at Heathville, Northumberland Co, VA. It may have been her who was shown as Sally Walker, age 55 in HH#270 headed by Jno. Walker, a 47 year old farmer.³ Salley was listed with her son in the census of 7 July 1870 at Princess Anne P.O., Dames Quarter District, Somerset Co, MD. She was shown as Sallie Walker, a 65 year old house keeper in HH#30 headed by John Walker, a 43 year old waterman.⁴ Salley was listed with her son in the census of 21 August 1880 at Dames Quarter District, Somerset Co, MD. She was shown as Sallie Walker a 76 year old mother, born in VA as were both of her parents, in HH#115 headed by Jno. W. Walker, a 49 year old farmer.⁵ Salley died on 7 December 1885 at age 81.²

     William was born circa 1832 at Northumberland Co, VA.¹ William was named in his father's will on 28 January 1833 at St. Stephnes Parish, Northumberland Co, VA. It was on this date that James Blincoe gave his land to his two sons John & William, children of Salley Walker, in his will.
