The land approximately included the area of the village of Mappsburg (formerly Hawk's Nest) south of the crossroad.³

     Snead was born circa 1705 at Accomack Co, VA. Snead witnessed a will on 21 October 1723 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Joseph Cox, William Pritchet, Snead Cutler, Joachim Michael Bonnewell witnessed the will of William Pritchet.² Snead was named in his grandfather's will on 17 May 1730 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as son Daniel Cutler in the will of Arcadia Cutler, widow.⁴ Daniel made a will on 11 March 1757 at Accomack Co, VA. To wife Ann Cutler 1/2 my land & personal estate during her widow then to my daughter Betty Ironmonger. Bal. of estate to daughter Betty Ironmonger, & for want of heirs to my brother George Cutler. They were shown only as William H.H. Copes and Sallie A. Cutler. No other information was given..³ Sarah was listed with her husband in the census of in 1870 at Atlantic Dist, Acc Co, VA. She was shown as Sally Copes, a 26 year old house keeper in HH#AT433 headed by Solomon Copes, age 70 and retired from labor. Also listed just above her was William Copes, a 30 year old farmer, who was evidently her husband..⁴ Sarah died on 6 October 1902 at age 61.² Her body was interred at Person Meth Ch Cem, Drewryville, VA.²

     John was born on 16 October 1843 at Accomack Co, VA.² John was listed with his parents in the census of in 1850 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as John W. Cutler, age 7 in HH#1211 headed by George Cutler, a 44 year old farmer with real estate valued at $1,800..¹ He married Sarah E. (-----) circa 1865.² John died on 17 January 1912 at age 68.² His body was interred at J.W. Taylor Cem, Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.²

     Mary was born on 28 September 1846 at Accomack Co, VA.² Mary was listed with her parents in the census of in 1850 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA. She was shown as Mary S.      Mary was born on 13 June 1905 at Wisharts Point, Acc Co, VA.^1,2 She married Charles Wesley Hall, son of Benjamin Hall, on 3 September 1922.² Mary died on 3 October 1984 at Snow Hill, Wor Co, MD, at age 79.^1,2

     Delmas was born on 17 January 1907 at Wisharts Point, Acc Co, VA.^1,2 He married Pearl Nock on 16 January 1927.² Delmas died on 15 April 1985 at age 78.¹ His body was interred at J.W. Taylor Cem, Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.³

     He retired from the Newport News Ship Building and Dry Dock Co in 1965. His funeral services were held at the Westhampton Baptist Church, Newport News of which he was a member. He was also a member of the Mariner Masonic Lodge #215. He was buried in the Peninsula Memorial Park Cemetary (his sister Elizabeth). Elmer was born on 27 February 1909 at Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.¹ Elmer was living in 1937 at Makemie Park, Acc Co, VA.¹ He married Virginia Lee Simpson, daughter of Melvin Simpson and Lola Lewis, circa 1938. Elmer died on 4 July 1968 at Newport News, VA, at age 59.¹

     Milton was born on 6 December 1910 at Makemie Park, Acc Co, VA.¹ He married Anne Lewis, daughter of George Dewey Lewis and Lillian Bishop, circa 1930. Milton was living in 1937 at Philadelphia, PA.¹ Milton died on 4 May 1983 at age 72.¹ His body was interred at Edgehill Cem, Accomac, Acc Co, VA.²

     Thomas was a member of the armed forces serving at US Marine Corps, WWII, Pacific.¹ Thomas was born on 25 December 1922 at Makemie Park, Acc Co, VA.¹ Thomas was living in 1937 at Makemie Park, Acc Co, VA.¹ Thomas died on 16 August 1980 at age 57.¹ His body was interred at J.W. Taylor Cem, Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.²

     Anne was living at Parksley, Acc Co, VA.¹ Anne was born on 8 May 1913.¹ She married Milton James Cutler, son of Thomas Warwick Cutler Sr. and Lettie March Bancroft, circa 1930. Anne died on 21 October 1986 at age 73.¹

     Margaret was born on 6 February 1931.¹ She married Kenneth Harmon circa 1950. Margaret died on 27 September 1991 at Car Accident at age 60.¹

     William was born on 6 July 1896 at Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.¹ He married Ruby Fisher circa 1920.² William was living in 1937 at Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.¹ William died on 2 July 1967 at age 70.¹ His body was interred at J.W. Taylor Cem, Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.²

     Ruby was living at Atlantic, Acc Co, VA.¹ Ruby was born in 1903.² She married William Lee 'Willie' Cutler, son of James Poulson Cutler and Elizabeth Ann Taylor, circa 1920.² Ruby died in 1974.² Her body was interred at J.W. Taylor Cem, Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.²
