It was in this year that William Wyatt bought 100 acres from Arthur Roberts II and in 1774 he (wife Susannah) left his homeplace plantation to this son Joshua and the widow Susannah married Jonathan Garrison.3 William witnessed a will on 18 October 1736 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Littleton Wyatt, William Wyatt & Robert Coleburn witnessed the will of Edward Kellam, wife Sarah.4 William witnessed a will on 2 May 1739 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Robert Coleburn, Littleton Wyatt & William Wyatt witnessed the will of Richard Savage.5 William was named as administrator of an estate on 26 October 1742 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that the administration on the estate of Benjamin White was granted to William Wyatt. Son Joshua & George Cutler Exrs. Witt: Arthur Roberts, William Wyatt, William F. Ross, Solomon Groten.2 He died before 25 January 1774 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was probated.2 He left land in 1774 at tract A9, Mappsburg, Acc Co, VA. William Wyatt (wife Susannah) left his homeplace plantation to this son Joshua and the widow Susannah married Jonathan Garrison. In 1793 Joshua Wyatt left to his son William, and in 1815 his land, comprising 144 1/2 acres, was divided for the heirs. The land approximately included the area of the village of Mappsburg (formerly Hawk's Nest) south of the crossroad.3
