     John Henry Sparrow, a farmer, died at his home at Belinda on 17 Feb 1939. Services were conducted at the Sanford Methodist Church on 19 Feb by Rev. Roy Jones and Wilmer, with interment in the Downing's Cemetery. He was survived by his widow, 2 nieces and 2 nephews, all of who were named (E.S. News, 24 Feb 1939).
