     Brooks Lewis, aged 15 years, son of Mrs. Dolly Lewis of Sykes, died 16 Apr 1894 after an illness of several weeks (Pen. Ent., 5 May 1894). Brooks was born circa 1879 at Accomack Co, VA.¹ Brooks died on 16 April 1894 at Saxis Island, Acc Co, VA.¹

     Mr. Herbert A. Drummond, a thrifty young merchant of Marsh Market, and Miss Malinda Drummond were married at Pocomoke M.E. Church, South on Tuesday 19 Jun 1894 by Rev. D.J. Traynham (Pen. Ent., 30 Jun 1894). Herbert was born in 1872.¹ He married Belinda Broadwater Drummond, daughter of William Robinson Drummond Sr. and Belinda Broadwater, on 19 June 1894 at Pocomoke Meth Ch, Grotons, Acc Co, VA.² Herbert died in 1971.¹ His body was interred at Downing's Cem, Oak Hall, Acc Co, VA.¹

     Leah was born on 16 July 1857 at Somerset Co, MD. She married Sylvanius T. Maddox, son of Benjamin Maddox, on 24 August 1881 at Worcester Co, MD.² She married (-----) Morris circa 1908.³ Leah died on 22 June 1924 at age 66. Her body was interred at Beth Eden, Tilghman Hill Cem, Wor Co, MD.

     Sylvanius was born on 7 January 1846 at Worcester Co, MD. He married Martha E. Kelly on 30 October 1869 at Wicomico Co, MD.² He married Leah Jane Furniss, daughter of Isaac James Furniss and Mary Wesley Powell, on 24 August 1881 at Worcester Co, MD.² Sylvanius died on 16 April 1906 at age 60.      William was born on 25 July 1796 at Somerset Co, MD.¹ He married Sallie Cullen in 1827.¹ William died on 18 September 1832 at Somerset Co, MD, at age 36.¹

     Sallie was born circa 1800. She married William Cluff in 1827.¹ Sallie died on 8 September 1830.¹

     Miss Mollie S. Byrd, daughter of Johannes Byrd, and Oswald Mears were married 4 Nov 1896 at the M.E. Church Sourth, Oak Hall (Pen. Ent., 14 Nov 1896). Mary was born on 6 February 1880 at Hallwood, Acc Co, VA.¹ She married Oswald S. Mears, son of Lloyd K. Mears and Mahala Jane Taylor, on 4 November 1896 at Oak Hall, Acc Co, VA.² Mary was living in 1934.

     Myrtle was born in 1922.² Mr. & Mrs. Elwood Furniss of Saxis announces the marriage of their daughter, Miss Myrtle Furniss, to Mr. John Tom Turlington, son of Mr. & Mrs. John Ray Turlington of Wachapreague, at Snow Hill by Rev. E.R. Shields. They will reside in Wachapreague (E.S. News, 19 Jan 1940). Myrtle was living after 1942 at Hampton, VA.³ Myrtle died on 21 March 1993.²

     Henry was born circa 1890. She married Willard Truitt, son of J.H. Truitt, circa 1910. Henry was living in 1940.¹

James Wessells was the security on the M.L.B. of Mark Parks of John and Elizabeth Thornton of Laura..³ Mark was listed as a head of household in the census of in 1850 at Jobs Island, Acc Parish, Acc Co, VA. He was shown as Mark Parks the head of HH#1178, a 32 year old farmer. Listed with him were the following Parks: Elizabeth, age 30; Laura, age 12; John, age 10; Augustus, age 8; Elizabeth S., age 6; Arintha J., age 4; and Francis W., age 2.
