John was born circa 1740 at Accomack Co, VA. He married Elizabeth 'Eli' Justice, daughter of Robert Justice Sr. and Comfort Hope, circa 1763. When Robert Justice wrote his will in 1777 he was a very old man and likely had lost some of his children. He did not give his relationship to the people to whom he left his estate. He left property to Eli Young's three children and to a Robert Webb, among others. Since John Young II, had a son named William Justice Young, who named a daughter Eli Young, it appears that John Young II's first wife was Eli Justice, daughter of Robert Justice. In the early 1830s, William Justice Young's children were named as the only heirs of Robert Webb and Joseph Webb, both of whom served in the Virginia State Navy during the Revolutionary War. No record has been found of the deaths or the settling of the estates of these two Webb men. They apparently had no children, since their heirs were Youngs. Their relationship to the Young and Justice families has not been found in the records. Eli Justice, born circa 1732, could have married (1) circa 1750 Thomas Webb and had Robert Webb and Joseph Webb before marrying (2) circa 1763, John Young II, and giving birth to William Justice Young circa 1763.

George Young, Senr was listed in the 1800 census, in Acc Parish, aged over 45 years. He then had a male in his household at 16 to 26 years of age, a daughter of 16 to 26 years and another female aged 26 to 45 years. A George Young "of Guilford" appears in the 1810 census. George Young, Senr and wife Susanna sold land he had inherited from his father to George Ewell in 1789 (Acc Co Deeds 1788-1793, p. 200) and to Solomon Parks in 1791 (Acc Co Deeds 1788-1793, p. 493). George Young had apparently lost his wife by 30 Oct 1809, when he deeded Henry Young 5 acres for 5£ (Acc Co Deeds 1807-1810, p. 425). Tabitha Young, "daughter of George", married james West in 1808 (Acc Co Marriage Records, 1776-1854, p. 316). A Henry Young, called son of George in an 1819 deed (Acc Co Deeds 1818-1819, p. 197) died testate in 1841 (Acc Co Wills 1828-1846, p. 419), aged 61 years (tombstone in Bloxom, VA). Since there were no James Wessells' listed in the 1850 Acc Census, James must have died circa 1847-49, but his will was not probated until 26 May 1851, which is an unusual delay. A James Wessells' estate was administered to Samuel Andrews on 30 Mar 1857 with George Bloxom (s/o J.) and David Taylor securities. Since a Samuel Andrews was also a witness to James Wessells' will in 1847, this is assumed to be the same James Wessells..5
