     Howson was born on 24 April 1733 at Northampton Co, VA.2 Howson was named in his father's will on 26 September 1757 at Northampton Co, VA.3 He married Bridget Westerhouse, daughter of William Westerhouse, on 25 September 1759 at Northampton Co, VA. Thos. Luker was the security on the M.L.B. of Howson Mapp & Bridget Westerhouse, daughter of Wm. Westerhouse..4 Howson was named as an heir on 15 November 1760 at Northampton Co, VA. William Westerhouse left his son Pelegg Negroes Ben, Tamar (now at Howsen Mapp's), and Sarah and £50. (NOTE: Evidently William's daughter Bridget, who had married Howsen Mapp the year before, had the use of Tamar, but she evidently died and now her father wanted to give the use of Tamar to his son.).5 He married Elizabeth 'Betty' Thomas, daughter of George Thomas and Bridget (-----), on 16 February 1762.2 Howson was the security on a M.L.B. On 18 February 1769 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that Howson Mapp was the security on the M.L.B. of Martin Holt and Adah Mapp, daughter of Howson Mapp dec'd..4 Howson bought land in 1772 at Machipongo Creek, Acc Co, VA. It was in this year that Howson Mapp for 906 pounds current Virginia money, purchased 440 acres and grist mill on Machipongo Creek in the lower part of Accomack County near the present town of Mappsburg. He thus became the first of the Mapp line to live in the present County of Accomack..6 Howson witnessed a will on 3 March 1794 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that John Smith, Housen Mapp Jr., Joshua Taylor and Houson Mapp Sr. witnessed the will of Shadrack Kellam..7 He made a will on 25 March 1796 at Accomack Co, VA. To wife Betty Mapp whole estate during her wid. to bring up my children. To my son Howson Mapp, my heir at law, all my lands, he to pay to Hester Mapp, Peggy Mapp, George Mapp, Robins Mapp & John Mapp 20 £ each, & should he refuse my land to be sold & div. among my children. To son George Mapp. To son Robins. To son John. To dau. Hester. To dau. Peggy. To dau. Bridget Willis. To dau. Salley Downing.      Edward was born circa 1758 at Accomack Co, VA. He married Anne (263) Ker, daughter of Edward Ker and Margaret (128) Shepherd, circa 1780.3 He married Susannah (109) Andrews, daughter of William (65) Andrews and Anna Maria Hall, circa 1790.4 Edward died in December 1791.3 Administration of Edward's estate was filed on 28 December 1791 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that George Ker, John Shepherd Ker & Samuel Galt were named to settle the estate of Edward Revel. John Teackle Sr. was the security.5 Edward was named in a land cause on 23 March 1803 at St. George Parish, Acc Co, VA. John Revell, Jr. vs Margaret & Edward Revell (in a Partition Suit) - That one Edward Revell, father of the said John, Margaret & Edward, was lately seized of and in the premises aforesaid as of fee, being a tract of land containing 1200 acres in the Parish of St. George & 1/2 of a water grist mill on Pungoteague Creek in the aforesaid Parish, and being so seized on the ____ day of Dec. 1791, departed this life intestate, leaving four children, to-wit: the said John and Margaret and Leah by one marriage, and the said Edward Revell, Jr., by another marriage, who entered into and became seized of the said land subject to the dower of the widow of the said Edward, Sr., and afterwards, to-wit: on the 23 Aug. 1793, the said Leah departed this life an infant under the age of 21 years, intestate and without issue &c. John S. Ker appointed guardian to the defendant Margaret & Thomas Parker guardian to the defendant Edward, who are infants, for the purpose of defending this suit - 23 Mar. 1803
.6 Edward's land was surveyed in 1803 at Accomack Co, VA. A survey for the division of the land of the late Edward Revell showed 1,685 acres on Pungoteague Creek; 625 east of the Bayside read went to John K. Revell, 560 acres to Margaret Revell, and the home part to Edward A. Revell..7 Edward estate was settled on 25 March 1822 at Accomack Co, VA. 1792 (Order to Audit), 25 Mar 1822 (Rec'd) - Mrs. Susannah Revell in account with the Admr. of Edward Revell dec'd. On 18 Oct 1793 Susanna Revell acknowledged a receipt from John Shepherd Ker for £22.9 with Walter Jameson as a witness, who was dec'd by 25 Mar 1822 & it was proved by Isaac Smith who was acquainted with the handwriting of Walter Jameson..8

The 100 acres I bought of John Smith to be sold & the proceeds be applied to my debts. To son George Corbin Revell the land I now live on which I purchased of James Bonewell & Tully R. William was born on 1 October 1773 at Accomack Co, VA.3 He married Elizabeth (266) Ker, daughter of Edward Ker and Margaret (128) Shepherd, circa 1793.4,5 William was named in his mother's will on 21 June 1796 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as a son William Seymour in the will of Leah Seymour.6 William was named in his niece's will on 10 April 1807 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as uncle William Seymour and named Extr. in the will of Ann Revell Ker..7 He married Isabella (264) Ker, daughter of Edward Ker and Margaret (128) Shepherd, on 29 August 1811 at Worcester Co, MD.8 William died on 24 October 1821 at age 48.3 His body was interred at Seymour-Snead Cem, Onancock, Acc Co, VA.3 William was named as an heir on 31 January 1825 at Accomack Co, VA. In the estate settlement of David Bowman, he was shown as William Seymour and received amounts as follows: Cash retained by William Seymour Extr. to John S. Ker for his 1/9 £115.17.5; cash retained by [William Seymour] committee to Hugh Ker for his 1/9 £115.17.5; cash retained by [William Seymour] as guardian to Edward S. Snead for his 1/9 in right of his mother £115.17.5; cash retained by [William Seymour] due himself in right of his wife for her 1/9 £115.17.5; to William Seymour one of the balance remaining of the houses & lots unconsumed agreeable to Mr. Bowman's will, said Seymour having intermarried with Mr. Bowman's widow who was entitled under his will to a child's part which was 1/3 £256.18.9; to George Bowman's 1/3 of the above entered to his credit with William Seymour his guardian £256.18.9; to David Bowman 1/3 (the son of David dec'd) entered to his credit with William Seymour £256.18.5. (Note: The settlement was finally recored on 31 Jan 1825, but the actual payment may have been years earlier, as David Bowman died in 1805.).9
