Nock, one of the witnesses, was unable from sickness to appear & a Commissioner was to take & certify the attestation of said witness, which was done by Samuel Melvin on 4 Jun 1852. At court on 28 Jun 1852 the certificate of Samuel Melvin was returned & the other witness, Thomas H. Parramore, being dead, James H. Parker attested to his handwriting & there being no Extr. named in the will, John H. Allen became the Admr. with John E. Wise & William S. Bird his securities. [Note: Eavens is also spelled Eavenns & Eavins in the will which was signed by her "X" cross & the clerk of court consistently spelled it "Evans" in the probate records.].3
