     On 15 April 1803, Edmund Wright "son of Henry" sold to Thomas Wright "(of Henry)" 22 acres for $20, "part of Father Henry Wright, deceased, land" (DC Deeds 1800 - 1806, p. 265). Edward Wright was named head of households in the census of 1810, of 1820 and of 1840, when his age was given as 50 to 60 years. Five of Edward Wright's six children's names were given on a deed of 30 October 1847, when they sold 5/6 of Edward's 25 to 30 acres "in the, neighborhood of Metompkin" to Samuel Wright, who would have been their first cousin, a son of Thomas Wright (Deeds 1846 - 1848, p. 724). The sixth heir, a daughter, was named in a marriage record. Edward was born circa 1780 at Accomack Co, VA. He was the son of Henry (79F) Wright III and Rachel Pettitt.
