He had then toured sixteen states and the District of Columbia, giving lectures in over 2,755 churches. His obituary states that "his last continued engagement was in Nebraska during the past summer (Pen. Ent., 12 Dec 1908)..2 His body was interred at Onancock Cem, Acc Co, VA.2

Lorenzo was born in 1859 at Accomack Co, VA.2 He was the son of James Seymour Lewis and Rachel J. Rew. He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1860 at Wiseville PO, St.George Parish, Acc Co, VA.3 He married Julia J. Melson on 25 December 1884 at Accomack Co, VA. They were married by A.J. Walter. Lodey was a 24 year old oysterman and Julia was age 17..4 Lorenzo died in 1945.2
