He was the son of William H. and Arinthia Lewis, born at Parksley 10 Dec 1882. Survivors were listed (Pen. Ent., 18 May 1961). Being born in 1882 would have made him 79 years old, not 84. Elmer was born on 10 December 1882 at Hunting Creek, Acc Co, VA.¹ He was the son of William Henry Lewis and Arinthia J. Barnes. Elmer was living in 1914 at Parksley, Acc Co, VA.¹ He married Cecie E. Brittingham on 16 September 1916.¹ Elmer died on 12 May 1961 at Fruitland, Wic Co, MD, at age 78.¹ His body was interred at Liberty Cem, Parksley, Acc Co, VA.²
