He was shown as Alsavder Chase and she was shown as Sarah Davis, the daughter of Henry who gave consent. Edward Anderton said he was over age 21..4,2 She was listed as a resident in the census report in 1860 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA.5 Sallie died on 25 March 1905 at Accomack Co, VA, at age 68. Mrs. Sallie Ann Chase, wife of Alsavador Chase of Mears, died on Saturday, 25 Mar 1905, aged 68 years, and was buried at her son Henry's near Bethel Church, leaving 11 children, all of which were named (Acc News, 1 Apr 1905). Her grave is now at Wessells Cemetery..3 Her body was interred at Wessells Cem, Mears, Acc Co, VA.3

     Further proof that Patience Drummond, wife of Stephen Marshall, was the daughter of John Drummond is based on 3 Acc Orders. First, 24 Feb 1851: "It is ordered to be certified that it appears to the satisfactory of the Court that John Drummond, Senr. of Acc Co, VA, who in 1832 made a declaration for a pension died in June 1833, leaving a widow who is now dead, and that Nancy Drummond, Patience Marshall and Sophia White are his only surviving children and heirs at law." Second, 24 Feb 1851: "It is ordered to be certified that it appears to the satisfaction of the Court that James Drummond who was a Lieutenant and died in the Revolutionary War intestate, leaving no children nor descendants of children, but left three brothers and two sisters, viz: John Drummond (his eldest brother) Stephen Drummond, William Drummond, Comfort Drummond and Sophia Drummond his only heirs at law. John Drummond (eldest brother of James) died many years ago intestate, leaving six children, viz: John P. Drummond, Sally Drummond, Tabithae Drummond, Patience Marshall, Nancy Drummond and Sophia White his only children and heirs at law." Third, 26 Jan 1852: "It is ordered to be certified that it appears to the satisfaction of the Court that John Drummond (brother of James Drummond who was reputed to be a Revolutionary Officer) died many years ago, intestate, leaving John P. Drummond, Sally Drummond, Tabitha Drummond, Nancy Drummond, Sophia White and Patience Marshall his only children and heirs at law. Patience was born on 22 July 1814 at Accomack Co, VA.2 She was the daughter of John Drummond IV and Euphemia 'Uphany or Pharney' (-----). He was a member of the Bethel Bapt Ch near Bloxom. He was survived by his wife, Julia A. Marshall; two daughters, Mrs. E.H. Hughes of Bloxom and Mrs. Wesley Dryden of Pocomoke, MD; one son, Mr. Dewey Marshall of Hallwood; a sister, Mrs. Arinthia Small of Pocomoke; and a brother, Mr. Kendall Marshall of New Church. Algier was born on 9 February 1865 at Accomack Co, VA.1 He was the son of Parker H. Marshall and Comfort Jane Chase. He married Julia Annie Shrieves on 22 June 1887 at Mappsville, Acc Co, VA.2 Algier died on 4 February 1935 at Bloxom, Acc Co, VA, at age 69.3 His body was interred at Wessells Cem, Mears, Acc Co, VA.3

     Mr. & Mrs. Henry Clay Marshall celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on 5 Feb 1941. Mr. Marshall, now 95, was born at Mearsville, and Mrs. Marshall, now 88, was the former Miss Henreitta T. Bloxom, of Bloxom. They were married at the MD-VA line on 5 Feb 1871 (Pen. Ent., 7 Feb 1941). Capt. Henry Clay Marshall, Pocomoke City, will be 98 years old on 31 Dec 1942 and his brother Capt John W. Marshall of Mearsville, VA, "John Bill" will be 92 years old on 22 Oct 1942. They are the last of 8 children, born Poulson sons of Stephen and Patience Drummond Marshall, who died 51 and 49 years ago respectively (E.S. News, 30 Oct 1942). Capt Henry Clay Marshall, aged 99 years, died at home at Pocomoke on 16 Feb 1944. He would have been 100 years old this year, having become 99 years old on the last day of 1943. Services were on 18 Feb at Dennis Watson Funeral Home, Pocomoke by Rev Ditto, with interment in the Nelson Cemetery.      Mr. John William Marshall died on 15 Feb 1944 at his daughter's home near Mearsville, age 93 years. Survivors were listed, including a brother Herny C. Marshall of Pocomoke City, aged 99 years (Pen. Ent., 18 Feb 1944). He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Melvin Simpson, Mearsville, at midnight. He was 93 on 22 Oct 1943. Serverices were at Bethel Baptist Church on 18 Feb with interment at the Groton's Cemetery. He was born at Poulson, the son of Stephen and Patience Drummond Marshall, who died some 50 and 52 years ago. He was known as "John Bill." His brother, Capt Henry Clay Marshall, also died within 24 hours of his brother. They were 2 of 8 children (E.S. News, 18 Feb 1944). John was born on 22 October 1850 at Poulson, Acc Co, VA.2 He was the son of Stephen Marshall and Patience P. Drummond. He was listed as a resident in the census report in 1860 at Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA.1 He married Elisha Ann 'Alicia' Landing on 19 May 1892 at Temperanceville, Acc Co, VA.3 John was living in 1938 at Mears, Acc Co, VA.4 John died on 15 February 1944 at Mearsville, Acc Co, VA, at age 93.5
