Thomas was born circa 1686. He was the son of Thomas Simpson Sr.. He married Rhoda 'Rhody' Clark circa 1720.2 Thomas bought land in 1723 at Accomack Co, VA. He bought 200 acres of Whitelaw's tract A105, which is just south of the present town of Parksley, from Peter Cornelius. In 1751, Thomas Simpson, son of William (brother of Thomas Jr.), gave a quitclaim deed to Southy Simpson, son of Thomas (Jr.). The deed stated that their fathers William and Thomas (Jr.) had bought the 200 acres jointly from Peter Cornelius, but that the deed had been made out to Thomas Simpson (Jr.) alone, and that he had died before a division had been made with his brother William. The latter had brought suit for such a division against Southy, son and heir of Thomas (Jr.), but William also had died before any settlement was made. The cousins now made an agreement, and Thomas released to Southy any interest in the land he might have inherited..3 Thomas was named in his father's will on 6 January 1726 at Accomack Co, VA.1 Thomas died in February 1728.2 Thomas's estate was administered on 6 March 1728 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Rhody Simpson was named to administer his estate..2
