His body was interred at Forest Lawn Cem, Norfolk, VA.²

     William was born on 5 January 1928 at Painter, Acc Co, VA. He was the son of Stephen Grady Corbin and Hattie Marie Whaley. William died on 2 December 1957 at Norfolk, VA, at age 29. The body of William Edward Corbin, a native of the Eastern Shore, was found in the Elizabeth River last Thursday. Mr. Corbin was a civilian employee on an Army tug when the tug collided with the Navy destroyer Holder on 2 Dec 1957. He was killed as a result of the collision. He was 29 years of age. Mr. Corbin was born in Accomac and readed in Painter, the son of Mrs. Hattie Whaley Corbin and the late S.G. Corbin. He was a graduate of Central High School of the class of 1945 and served in the Army in the Philippines..²
